The process was very efficient & smooth from the first call to arriving less than 24 hours later - this was by choice, I witnessed faster acceptance for those in need since attending. From beginning to end I never felt judged only welcomed & understood of my background & needs. The admin team is wonderful getting you to the door, the BHTs are all kind personable & accommodating, & the clinical team (Providers & Nurses) handle your case individually there's no one size fits all for this journey. My detox period was handled excellently & with care & I chose to start attending groups on my first morning after arrival. The team that teaches the groups are very knowledgeable & some have even walked this journey before us & fully understand. There are also outside groups that come in that I was able to attend... NA AA NAMI & a bonus... yoga! You're fed 3x/day as expected & snacks available, during my time Saturdays were special & they order something unique for dinner! To honor privacy I don't wish to disclose names in my review but there are many of the staff that left a lasting impression on me as a human & on my sober journey. I also enjoyed meeting some quality people as fellow clients whom I plan to stay in contact permanently with. Well before your journey comes to an end at PDR, you are set up with the tools, resources, & help with your particular desires needs & plan for the future - be that AA, therapy, medical care, IOP, PHP, etc. The staff is very helpful in creating what is best for you once you leave. A huge thank you to the PDR team as a whole for getting me through detox, residential, & helping me with my after care plan. 5/5 would recommend to anyone looking for their services. I got to ADC and was mentally broken and a mess physically. The medical team was amazing, especially Katrina. In my opinion everyone of the BHT’s were great, they don’t get enough credit. Chris was fabulous and met any need I had ( even let me do my fantasy football draft 🤷🏼‍♂️ ). Everyone from the cooks to the cleaning ladies were great. But the main person who’s the star of that building is OG. Never met someone so wise and so willing to help people is his own way. I never met someone who had all the answers to anything, and I don’t say that sarcastically. He helped me leave ADC a better person and with all the tools to tackle recovery. I came in feeling completely overwhelmed and unsure if anything would actually help, but the staff really took the time to meet me where I was at. My therapist was thoughtful, patient, and actually listened, which made it easier to open up as time went on. The environment felt supportive and structured without being overwhelming. The love and support from the staff there is beyond amazing. There is an anointing on everyone that works there! You can feel it in the air the second you arrive. I was mandated there by the court so the officers delivered me to them. They would not allow me to enter still in shackles. That moment changed everything for me. I was finally free! The staff there taught me how to remain free of those shackles and I am forever grateful for the help they freely gave with no expectations in return other than my success.
