This God sent faculty and staff saved my life. OG, Chris, therapist John, Chaplin John, Ms Angie, Ms Tiffany, Christian, Raymond and the entire Staff are Awesome. They took me from being completely lost to a much better place.

I spent 3 months at Talbott in-patient beginning in October 2020, and then an additional 3 months in their sober living program (which has since been discontinued). Before I came to Talbott, I was broken, unable to function or live any kind of life period. I couldn’t see any other way until I found Talbott.
The most important thing I found at Talbott was a community of individuals who were struggling with the same things I was - my time at Talbott showed me the importance of community and connection. This connection and sense of community was fostered by people like my counselors Allie and Sam, and more so by our community coordinators Ben and Christian.
Ben especially left an indelible mark on my life and my perspective on addiction and finding recovery. His ability to connect with patients and former patients is remarkable and too seldom found in the treatment world. I will never forget the first time I heard Ben speak - he has a wholly unique ability to give people hope, especially when they are at their lowest.
I have carried the lessons Ben and everyone at Talbott taught me since then, and I now have over 4 1/2 years clean and sober. Talbott changed my life and for that I will be forever grateful.

I had a podiatrist appointment. I was seen in a very short time. They cut my toenails and the VA doctor was on a tele-med. She gave me two pairs of shoes and some diabetic socks. I have very low expectations and I am not sensitive to bad attitudes. They get 5 stars from me.

I was in hillside from August to November of 2023, and truthfully I can t believe it s been that long.When I went in to hillside, I had no will to live, was depressed and struggled socially and with processing and understanding emotions. When I went in, I was scared, because of past experiences in residential and acute placements. But once i started the program, I learned quickly hillside was different. Every staff member truly tried to help and connect with me in their own different ways. And I thank each and every one of them for being part of my journey, even when it was difficult.Today, not only me, and the others around me see the progress I continue to make. Because it isn t over night. I still practice my skills, and I m still learning and growing and improving every day. There are still hard days, but I m able now to get through them thanks to the things I ve learned at Hillside.

I was unsure if my family member was a qualified rehabilitation facility ,I had read some bad reviews.It took effort to get her in.It was worth every bit of effort! She went through the detoxing,I couldn't have contact with her.When we talked for the first time I realized my prayers had been answered.She was on the road to recovery.She was so grateful she got in and was feeling better and thinking clearly. My sister's counselor Mr Dre personally called and invited and encouraged me to attend the monthly Family Day and I did. I really appreciate the workers at this hospital. They are kind, accomodating and respectful. I didn't feel condescended to, nor treated like less of a human being. I felt that the workers set a tone of respect and dignity and support on the unit. The groups were awesome and very well facilitated. I felt like they weren't just there for a paycheck, that they actually cared about doing a good job. I would definitely go back there if I ever need mental health inpatient care.

It was a safe place during my most suicidal years. I really appreciated the ability to isolate in my room, unlike other facilities that lock the rooms during the day. That was a necessity for me as an autistic person, in order to prevent overwhelm and truly feel safe. Therapy groups could be stressful, but I wasn't forced to attend which I really appreciate. When life feels so out of control, small things like that can go a long way

I came to this center after a traumatic experience. These people made me whole again. I cannot say how much this place meant to me the 4 months I was there. Caring nurses, wonderful doctors and a cook who knew how to make hospital food palatable. I cannot recommend this place more!

Some of the negative reviews here are from people who treat the donation pick up service as their personal, white glove, unwanted furniture disposal service. It is ridiculous to expect the pick up crew to come when you aren't home, and it is unreasonable to expect them to remove their shoes or wear 'booties' so they don't soil your carpets. These movers are not your servants. If you truly wish to perform an act of charity, arrange to be at home ahead of time, and cover your floor with the Atlanta Journal Constitution...its' best possible use.

I spent several months completing the program here. I understand it doesn't work for everybody...but I wouldn't be the woman I am today with out MSH. I don't think I'd even be alive if they hadn't given me the chance to change and grow. It was difficult work. But the reward has been having keys to my own place for the first time in years .

As an alumni of the breakthru house I can speak on them for days. This place taught me to crawl after I fell flat on my face in life. The love and support from the staff there is beyond amazing. There is an anointing on everyone that works there! You can feel it in the air the second you arrive. I was mandated there by the court so the officers delivered me to them. They would not allow me to enter still in shackles. That moment changed everything for me. I was finally free! The staff there taught me how to remain free of those shackles and I am forever grateful for the help they freely gave with no expectations in return other than my success. Everything I have now is because they took a chance on me. Thank you breakthru for being there for me!!
