Spectrum Health Systems is a leading provider of substance use disorder treatment in the North Adams, Massachusetts, area. This location offers medication assisted treatment (MAT) to adults who are experiencing opioid use disorder. Medication Assisted Treatment in Massachusetts
The comprehensive clinical assessment, medical examination, monitoring and dispensing program is designed to assist with withdrawal and to prevent relapse and overdose. A treatment plan is developed with your input. Toxicology screening is used to monitor compliance with the program. There can be no benzodiazepines or opioids in your system when you start the program.
Outpatient counseling services accompany the MAT program. You can meet with therapists individually or through group and family counseling. You have opportunities to attend psychoeducational groups to learn additional skills for daily living in recovery. Families are also given the opportunity to attend educational groups.
Day Treatment Program
An intensive day program meets for three weeks while you’re on MAT. The daily meetings include two groups and one brief individual session. Family groups and longer individual sessions are also available weekly. The program may be extended depending on your needs.
Continuing Care
Follow-up care continues while you’re on the MAT program. You’ll meet weekly or bi-weekly with a therapist. An alumni program and peer recovery support are provided to help you maintain long term sobriety.
