The staff there is amazing! The food is really good and I can say you will never go hungry during your stay! The nurses really care about you and the follow up is amazing. I visited this place with my wife and the experience was amazing, the treatment offered adapts to the needs of each person and this makes the difference to any traditional center because they focus on the problems that affect the patient. The program includes many activities such as yoga, meditation, hiking and art that make it easier to receive therapies. Swift River did everything possible to help us, the campus is beautiful and the food is delicious, they changed our lives and we created friendships with the people we met there. Thank you very much for everything!

I've posted a few comments what's important is that the program works they now let u smoke bud also something alot of us worried about for take-homes but things WILL NOT always go your way I guess my advice to myself and others is simply keep going even if it gets rough and feels hard keep going even if you know your clean and a test says otherwise false positives or whatever they might be, just know that in the long run it is saving your life!!

I was a resident of Berkshire Farms from August 25th 1995 to August 25th of 1996. I was in pole hahn cottage. I remember Mr Daniels, Mr Pinkston, Matt the overnight guy Dell. We loved out because he used to smoke cigarettes and could never smell if we were smoking because he was so old and always fell asleep in the chair at night. Mr Burke. I remember Lonis he was in a strong man competition or tough man fighting competition or something like that. Remember black guy Mr Evans he was a good friend of Mike Tyson. I remember Vinny from naughty by nature serving us food one day in the chow hall. Lot of memories from that place
From there I was shipped to the Schrader house group home in Yaphank on Long Island. It has now been taken over by The game farm.

This place saved my life….. I don’t even know where to start. They welcomed me in with open arms in a judgement free zone, made sure I had everything I needed for food, hygiene, meds, and general support. EVERY SINGLE STAFF member was caring and attentive to my needs from check in to check out. Where should I start..Me Personally I will say that I like the staff there I mean some days are good and some days are not Good 👍, I learned that you Just have to be Patient, because it's not gonna get any faster getting your dose, because eventually you will get it and then you move on with your Day, I mean that I really like the nurses, whoever is working that day, I've had some 😞 difficult days and I will have a conversation with the nurses and they always have something positive to say and make me feel better ☺️, My Counselor she's the best because she understands me, and I'm not One to really put my self out there but she's very patient with me 🥺, and I love ❤️ that, The Security guard is also Great 👍, he treats you with respect, and does his Job well and I respect that..with that being said, I really like this program because you get treated with respect and responsibility for your action,

From the RNs, LPNs, Aids, PT/OT, Kitchen crew, Cleaners, Social Workers, Maintenance, Laundry and I'm sure I'm missing some others but what a good team. All shifts work pretty darn well together. First time I went in , I was impressed with the cleanliness. My mom was just admitted and I was trying to find her a snack. Ron brought me out a Blueberry muffin from the staff room and I was shocked to realize he bought it with his own money!!! Ive been going to the Pittsfield CSO for nearly 5 years, and the environment is very professional.
