Dr. Kloster has stand by me and supported me through the good and the bad. When I joined Hawthorn over 10 years ago. I was ready to fully commit to the program and do the program the right way. I was on a couple programs a few times and do to me not being ready to give up everything completely. Those other programs failed for me. And let’s be honest it was 99.9% my own fault the programs didn’t work for me. I felt forced into seeking help before I was 100% committed in my mind that I needed help. Dr. Kloster always spoke to me as a father would a son to help show me the errors of my ways and the life I could have if I just keep my head on straight and work the program the way it was designed to help me succeed to the fullest. Dr. Kloster is one of my heroes! Not just for what he has done to help me over the years. But the help he’s giving to the community as a whole. I’m grateful for him because if he was to refuse to help me at that time. I don’t believe I would be here now texting a biography of Dr Kloster. 🤣 I know many more people who feel the very same way about ( Our Good Ol’e Doctor Kloster. He brought the help to this community that we have been sadly been missing in this area. Which left this area so far behind the times, as far as recovery and help for people. The only options were to be sent away to inpatient. That’s not always an option that works for everyone.

Savida has great crew of doctors. I have been with Dr kloster for almost 14 years and he is one of the best doctors I have ever met. He is a very caring doctor and always listens to your concerns. The doctors, nurses and office staff are all a wonderful group of people. I fully recommend this office if your looking for support with sobriety. This office has kept me focused and fully supported through many difficult transitions in my personal life. I dont know where I would be if I didnt have the staff at this office fully supporting me. I've posted a few comments what's important is that the program works they now let u smoke bud also something alot of us worried about for take-homes but things WILL NOT always go your way I guess my advice to myself and others is simply keep going even if it gets rough and feels hard keep going even if you know your clean and a test says otherwise false positives or whatever they might be, just know that in the long run it is saving your life!!

I was a resident of Berkshire Farms from August 25th 1995 to August 25th of 1996. I was in pole hahn cottage. I remember Mr Daniels, Mr Pinkston, Matt the overnight guy Dell. We loved out because he used to smoke cigarettes and could never smell if we were smoking because he was so old and always fell asleep in the chair at night. Mr Burke. I remember Lonis he was in a strong man competition or tough man fighting competition or something like that. Remember black guy Mr Evans he was a good friend of Mike Tyson. I remember Vinny from naughty by nature serving us food one day in the chow hall. Lot of memories from that place
From there I was shipped to the Schrader house group home in Yaphank on Long Island. It has now been taken over by The game farm.

This place saved my life….. I don’t even know where to start. They welcomed me in with open arms in a judgement free zone, made sure I had everything I needed for food, hygiene, meds, and general support. EVERY SINGLE STAFF member was caring and attentive to my needs from check in to check out. I can’t thank and recommend this place enough….. huge specific shout outs to little Kayla, Jim, Rodger, Dave, and I forgot her name but the lady that does the meditation! First time I went in , I was impressed with the cleanliness. My mom was just admitted and I was trying to find her a snack. Ron brought me out a Blueberry muffin from the staff room and I was shocked to realize he bought it with his own money!!! Ive been going to the Pittsfield CSO for nearly 5 years, and the environment is very professional. Sometimes as a patient you wont be assigned to a therapist or med provider that is a good match for you, but that is simply how things work in this field. Lenny and Mark for our hockey trips, Jeremiah and Colleen for my school days in the Annex dorm, Scott and Shelly for fighting my case through and through, Keith (R.I.P), weezy, and Hilder for being the dopest staff I ever ran into in any residential, not to discredit any others, just those three pulled me from some dark places. I now work with troubled you in a residential home and am glad to say that Bennington helped me find out a purpose in life. So many years spent and so many tears wept.
