Be forewarned, If your initial paperwork with this circus of a company, is not completed properly in the very beginning, than chances are good, that your ENTIRE experience with them, will be an absolute nightmare. This will be especially true, if you have no supportive family or reliable consistent advocate(s) when going into the lions den. They might promise you up front that you can update paperwork "at any time" but that is a pie crust promise. When you attempt to hold them accountable for updating paperwork, they will make you sit through hours & hours of absolutely fruitless & exhausting meetings (probably for insurance reasons or because they themselves take pleasure in seeing others in pain, either way, the paperwork will NEVER be updated.)
Even nearly 4 years later, their negligence, misconduct, threats, violence, ghosting, inconsistencies, manipulation, absolute refusal to adapt to my needs as a disabled individual & eventual abandonment, refusing to connect me with another company & utilizing safety connections to manipulate me further, is still causing me harm.
Why should disabled people have to adapt to them, they're not disabled? It should also be noted that very few of the workers that I was issued, were mentally stable enough to be working with disabled & struggling individuals. Others were so unbearably cheerful at all times, I wondered if maybe they had been a labor doodle in a past life.
Their really needs to be somebody overseeing the work that they do, to ensure the safety and well-being of the "clients" and the conduct & professionalism of the workers.
If you have a network of supportive, caring individuals who will stay by your side no matter what, defend your rights and actually care about your needs, safety and well-being, then there is a chance you will get what you need from this company. In my experience however, they are only interested in keeping "the machine" alive & have no interest at all in making sure that their "clients" (this isn't a freaking Susan Sarandon movie, I don't understand why they call their patients, clients..) needs are being met in relevantly helpful, compassionate and consistent ways.
They have no regard at all for those with attachment disorders and will carelessly remove workers that you feel safe with, without a second thought, in case someone is "triaged above you" so to speak.. One extremely unprofessional young woman never even showed up when scheduled, another older woman simply drove off wrecklessly without me.. Seriously? They require no mental health screening for the people who work for them, you just need to pass a basic background check. In my humble yet valuable opinion, that is not nearly thorough enough in such an important line of work, being paid to care for & help some of Vermont's most vulnerable, struggling & often deserving individuals. They also do not vet their workers who take clients into their homes, as I witnessed psychological abuse taking place both against another client and the man's wife.. Save yourself a ton of stress and just go elsewhere..

I go here off and on, it is a place to meet others, share a meal and join in on adventures. Adventures include group movie nights, trips to Maine, camping in Grand Isle, and various other places in Vermont. There are overnight trips and day trips, all of these events provide transportation from, and back to Westview. Evening trips deliver you to your home. Holidays are celebrated, with special meals. Art happens too, all supplies are provided. At noon each day a meal is served .

Maple Leaf Farms has been the ONLY rehab facility I've been in that I can't speak highly enough about!! The staff is so caring and genuinely is concerned about each patient and their individual needs. I made the decision to commit myself to their care in the winter or 2005. I'd been through the gambit of these types of facilities more times than i can remember, I didn't hold great expectations as i wasn't fully certain that they could tell me something I didn't already know or hadn't already heard. i was from Connecticut, released from Niantic womans' prison into the custody of a family member, who lived in Vermont. I wasn't remanded to complete a rehab. but in order to start to get my teenage daughter back in my life I agreed to do what they wanted. I never experienced such a verity of approaches to ease the discomfort of withdrawing from these hideous drugs! I was blown away that the curriculum my counselor had designed for me was working. Mostly in that I had fun going about my day with the other patients, people that where "like me" and we picked each other up off the floor when things got hard. Because if You don't find yourself experiencing uncomfortable feelings then you should take a better look at the facility your in!! It takes work , and Maplel Leaf made sure that when we worked hard we relaxed hard too!! Hands down BEST FACILITY YOU COULD EVER BE BLESSED ENOUGH TO BE IN!!! P.S. This place may seem terrible in the midst of depression or other sorts of episodes. It certainly did for me. However they really HELPED me. Which is way more than I can say for any other place I've been, and I saw this clear as day once my mood stabilized. I've made so much progress, and I can thank HCRS for most of it. My life is better than ever since I started going 4 years ago. These are the people that CARE.

Home Intervention, or HI, is a part of Washington County Mental Health. It is a place where someone who is in a state of crisis Mentally or Emotionally. An alternative to the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit, it is a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere than one would experience in the Inpatient Unit. Patients are, however, still under careful supervision, but it is designed to be for those who are in a state of crisis, but not as much of a danger to themselves or others and thus requiring slightly less supervision than someone in the hospital. I spent about a week and a half there and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very professional and very helpful. They were also pleasant and truly friendly, not just "nice" because they are supposed to be. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is having a difficult time, as everyone does at some points in their lives.

I was recently admitted to Anna Jacques for pneumonia. The staff was nothing short of awesome. From the ER nurses and staff when I was admitted, to my attending nurses and staff when I got to my room. It’s a tough job and they knocked it out of the park. Aftermath is an incredible rehabilitation program that is run by truly incredible people that care for each and every one of their clients. This program has provided me with the tools needed to change my life in the best of ways. Aftermath Addiction Treatment Center truly changed my life. From the moment I walked in, I felt supported, respected, and understood. The staff genuinely care about every individual who comes through their doors — they don’t just treat addiction, they help heal the person as a whole.

I came to this hospital with my husband, who has a heart condition. His surgery hasn't been scheduled yet, but I don't know how to thank everyone I've met here. They were wonderful, professional, and humble. Even Dr. Stanley is fantastic; he's so patient and takes the time to talk to his patients and explain their condition so they feel reassured and completely at ease. I thank God that we are in this hospital; it's like being in a five-star hotel. Even the food and the people who serve it are excellent. As for Emily, what a loss! She said goodbye to me like a loving sister, saying she had finished her work here. She is a real loss to the hospital; she left a wonderful impression on me. Her care for us was exceptional.
