The center was the perfect place for me to start my journey, and what I experienced there was beyond what I expected. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, supported, and understood. The environment helped me begin healing emotionally and mentally in ways I did not expect. Step by step, they guided me through the process with patience, kindness, and professionalism. Everything was great the teachers and the entire team were incredibly supportive and caring. They helped me discover who I really am and gave me the confidence to continue my healing journey. I also appreciated how well everything was organized to make the experience comfortable and suitable for everyone’s different needs. It’s truly a wonderful place to begin healing and personal growth. They genuinely care about people and take the time to address individual needs with professionalism and compassion. I highly encourage anyone who is looking for support or guidance to reach out to them and learn more about their services. I have been a patient at 6 different clinics over the last decade. The counsellor Alan Hauber is by far the best counselor I have ever met in my life. He has gone above and beyond to help my husband and I be successful in our recovery and is one of the most kind-hearted people on Earth. My husband and I both can not say enough good things about this man. He is phenomenal! ☺️ The PA-C (doctor) Lilly is awesome. My stay was a little rough in the beginning due to the pod that I was staying in due to self harming infront of me a lot of substance talk that the clients where talking about which was a little triggering due to me going there to stop substances and trying to focus on myself due to that it was a little hard and the clients wanting to start drama with me when I was there to focus on myself but once I got to talk to the main person she was very sweet and let me move to another pod immediately and my stay became completely different I was surrounded by very sweet people had a lot of support and was able to focus on myself and was happy in that pod unlike the other one and recovered easily once I got into that pod overall yes my stay was a little rough but I learned so much that I never thought I would be able to learn and probably wouldn’t hear about all the healthy coping skills there if it wasn’t for Newport some of the staff had changed my life and will never forget it just because your stay in the beginning is rough dosent mean it always will be there support team is very strong and all of the therapist are all so sweet and still wish I could talk to them

i was at newport for 55 days and it was quite possibly the scariest time of my life. i was struggling with ptsd, depression, SH and SI, and this place turned all of that around in less than 2 months. i know not everyone’s experience is the same and people are going to view residential treatments differently, but going here genuinely saved my life and my relationship with my parents. i’m almost an adult and have a job straight out of treatment, which wasn’t even a possibility where i was before going there. shoutout to the cc’s and my pod (pine) as well as the amazing chef, i miss him dearly and i hope he’s well. and of course the clinical team (counselor, individual therapist, family therapist). i do miss being there and it was a scary and anxiety-inducing but also incredibly helpful and healing chapter of my life.

Had a pretty debilitating I.V heroin addiction, found my breaking point and just wanted health. Called evergreen recovery and had a bed within 24 hours. They make the withdrawal process as comfortable as possible without actually using opioids. As far as success rates, well that depends on you. You get to sleep and eat all day until you have kicked the worst of the withdrawal process. Usually, you can be referred to an inpatient/outpatient treatment program as well, which from my experience is completely nessesary if you want to remain clean. If you are thinking about detoxing here, please just go for it. Don't think twice. Give it a shot. Get your freaking life back!

I was very grateful for the nurses and staff at evergreen detox. They were carrying, understanding, but most important they were non judgmental. I would not have made it through the dtox process without them. My room was clean and comfortable. I could not comment on the food because i didn't eat much. I can say they make sure thee is plenty healthy snacks and lots of gatorade to stay hydrated.. I was there a few years ago and unfortunately i need to go back, but at least there is a place to go to.

The staff is kind and have patience. Be good to them and they are even better to you. This is detox people, it's not the 4 seasons hotel. If u want it that way, then spend $ getting that kind of treatment or vote for more funding from the government to help the facilities that are trying to help addicts. They can only do so much with resources they have. Regardless....we're the addicts and no one to blame but ourselves and at least there are people out there trying to help us *which should be nothing more than appreciated! I was a patient at THS in everett and shoreline for many years on and off and the the staff at the front desks, we're always courteous, never judgmental. We're always very, very helpful. My counselors at both locations were the best. I've ever had, and I've had lots and lots over the years, and I received mental healthcare as well as methadone as well as treatment/ Counseling for my heroin addiction. I think it's awesome that they take care of both of those things at once. Because you can't have both of those issues and only work on one of them because it wont-work. Yes we were there for a good 4 hours that day doing the intake but between the UA, seeing the counselor, and seeing the doctor we waited no more than 10 minutes in between the people she had to see. I was admitted to this facility in february of 2020. I was at rock bottom of my eating disorder, experiencing a paranoid psychotic break, and at the start of a global pandemic. I won’t lie, at first i really didn’t find it helpful. I wanted to leave, i didn’t like the program and i DEFINITELY hated the meal plan. As most people with eating disorders did (and do) in the program. As i started to become healthier, mentally more than physically, i really thrived here in this facility. My therapist and the staff who worked there at the time were the highlight of my day. I wouldn’t have been able to recover without Hannah Flemings incredible psychology skills, and the support of Aimee as a dietary tech/counselor. Chelsea always made me laugh and was an amazing person to be around. Rachel was always such a cool chick, and i loved the groups that all of the counselors ran. I truly believe that i would not be walking this earth anymore if it weren’t for the care and support that i received from Center for Discovery in Edmonds. I understand why there’s a lot of bad reviews here, mostly because it’s teenagers who received care from this facility who most likely didn’t want to get better or had bad experiences with some staff. But please don’t hesitate to send your children to this facility, they really do help people and i am a testimonial for that. I would give you guys 5 stars, but there is one staff member who still works there that left a really bad taste in my mouth. Kara was probably the absolute worst person to hire as a counselor. I don’t care if she was a social worker and has experience, she should never work in an eating disorder clinic. When i was there, she caused a client to sit out of a group and start crying because she had us do stretches and exercises that went beyond our movement level (which is dangerous, because we’re supposed to always have our head above our heart for cardiac safety). She was very pushy with me when i showed signs of anxiety, challenging me to stop stimming when it was my way of self soothing in a scary environment. When i expressed my dislike towards her, all of the clients agreed with me and felt the same. Even when i had another stay in the Bellevue adult facility, none of the clients there liked her either (and that was in 2022). Otherwise, everyone there is doing an amazing job at providing comfort and care to the clients, at least in 2020 when i was there.

In case you're reading this Chris, I miss you buddy! I have just been stuck in debilating depression and couldn't even make it out of my room, let alone my bed, for months. It gets THAT bad. So I kept missing apts and eventually Sound had to kick me off because I wasn't showing up at all. I am praying to God that I can get Chris M back as my psych, because not only do I need one, but I do need med management and I need someone to talk to about things with that isn't a friend or AA. I am praying I get him back as my psych! Praying for the staff there and clients. Winter is a rough time cause it's dark early, and we're all struggling with something, but the sun always breaks through the clouds eventually. 🌨️🌫️🌤️☀️

i’m not sure if she still works with sound health but jessica was a wonderful psychologist for me. living in seattle was hell and weekly appointments with her made it bearable. although the northgate building is in a rough area, Jessica and staff alike created a home-like environment for me and i was able to rely on it heavily. even a year + later the warmth and kindness shown to me by jessica, kate, and carly ruminate in my mind like a safety blanket. dr.pascoe was lovely as well. weekly dbt and relationship group meetings including other like minded teens provided me with a sense of belonging and family. with an abusive home life and challenging school environment, the group therapy i attended was the loving community i needed. i still have the therapy worksheets as memories and references from our sessions together. i think about them often and hope their doing well. the impact they’ve had on me is immeasurable, and for that i’m truly so grateful. i miss them dearly, as they were a resource for me when i was desperate for an outlet. someday i hope to provide someone with the same compassion and support that was given to me. the gratitude i hold for them is infinite, i wouldn’t be where i am today without them. ❤️🥹

Great outpatient treatment. Resource coordinator Rosemary knows about hidden resources and genuinely cares. J Tye is a fantastic counselor. The curriculum has new videos and info unlike out dated places that use old treatment videos from the 80s

Tom is phenomenal!! He really knows what he's talking about. I really enjoyed attending his group! I would recommend Edmonds P.H.P. solely because of Tom...... The smoothies are pretty darn good as well !! Too bad it's only a 5 star rating system.....or I'd give Tom a 9.8..... Just kidding Tom......I'd give you a 10!!! Thanks for everything!! Steven C......

Really enjoyed my time at PHP. The lectures go into a lot of detail and Tom does a great job answering questions and letting the group participate in discussion. Participating in art activities like collages got me out of my comfort zone and helped in positive ways I did not expect. Yoga on Wednesday is also awesome and something I would not have otherwise tried.

After an intervention from family for drinking starting this php outpatient program was very beneficial in starting new sober chapter in mt life and realizing my marijuana smoking was a problem too 😵 very glad I chose this establishment to better myself! Anyone looking to get out of addiction should most definitely come here for an assessment to consider options available 👍

I came into there program a couple years ago. My aunt life was starting to slip away, she was in a lot of pain all the time. I did want to risk feeling like I might ask her to buy any of her meds so I got into the program. Every was was really great to me. After Cathy pass I rolled off the wagon. They helped me back on. Any and every problem I had they worked w me. I can't say enough good things about the MAT program. Kozi and Dr H. really are amazing people who really care and will try to to do anything possible to help you if you just ask.
