Koinonia Residential Treatment Center in Rhinelander, Wisconsin works with adults in a wilderness setting to treat them for alcohol and drug addiction. If you or your loved one are suffering from addiction to alcohol, benzos, stimulants like cocaine or meth, or opioids, they can help you recover. They’re a licensed treatment center with a campus
My son just recently went to Koinonia in Rhinelander. For him, let's just say when he left he cried & was scared to leave there. This is saying a whole lot!! It was structured, a great counselor, & they kept them busy with lots of group sessions. He needed this. I suggest a Sober living housing after this, which my son refused cuz he wanted to work. The only problem I have with this Rehab is that it's only 30 days, u can't stay any longer. My son said he asked & it's 800$'s a day there after that even insurance won't cover. This just isn't right. Well, unless u are Native American & the tribe pays. But others don't have this type of money & so badly need way longer to recover. Sadly, I have my doubts for my son. He did great there but it should have been waayy longer for him. It breaks my heart when he was so very close.

Recovery is a personal journey and it's outcome is ours to choose. Is it tough, yes. Is it sometimes emotional, if you're doing it right, yes. Did we color, sure! And role played and talked and laughed- a lot!! Never once was I made to feel less than anyone. The staff at Koin showed me how to look at myself in a new light and gave me tools to build a life and confidence I had never known before. The outside recovery groups that visit weekly are as supportive and have continued to help me on my path a year later. I'm grateful to Koin and the AA and NA groups. I love going back every Sunday to meet and support the current clients and learn their stories and see their own growth! Best experience of my life!

[Outpatient~ Rhinelander 5-Stars], [Inpatient~ 3-Stars] (Ask for a transfer if possible). The outpatient is outstanding, taking into account this isn't some big-city slaughterhouse where the doctors are threatened with Bull S* . Here, the doctors, therapists, nurses, and staff enjoy their job, and this makes a huge impact on a patient's health.// The inpatient unit gets 3-stars only on merit where this is not a big-city circus. The doctors are withdrawn into a fantasy of how to make appeals to courts and testify the best they can about all the reason's there is a problem. You're not very likely to be committed per se, but you'll most likely need to agree to conditions in order to be released from the hospital. When the first ordeal is over with, the care is much better if you're required to stay a bit longer in the hospital before they stabilize you. Also remember there has never been a 5-star inpatient unit. The U.S. is swamped with mental health needs and are short staffed to meet the demands. Good Job Aspirus.

November 21st, 2023 the day of my birthday. When i told everyone i am not feeling well. So, as I rested in my bedroom, feeling under the weather, I was abruptly unable to speak or move. Fortunately, my brother's swift action led him to call the ambulance, which rushed me to the Green Bay ICU to battle a respiratory flu and Covid. Subsequently, I was transferred to Mount View Care Center on Level 2, where I received outstanding care and support. And, I am forever more thankful for the care I received, particularly from Amy Martin, who demonstrated remarkable compassion and empathy. My experience with the ventilator community was profoundly inspiring, and I wouldn't change a thing. Much love and gratitude!

I don't have enough good words that I can say about my counselor (Michelle) She has gone above and beyond to help me.. Even with things that have nothing to do with the clinic.. If there's something that I need help with.. She's right there to help.. I've never had a counselor that I could depend on as much as I can depend on her (even a counselor outside of the clinic).. She's definitely number one.. I'm not saying that there aren't other good counselors, because there are a couple just not many.. The ONLY thing that I would change about the Wausau clinic is the callback situation.. I just don't think it's fair that I've been clean for over 4 years, with no dirty UAs.. No missed callbacks.. No missed counseling appointments.. N I'm still having to come back in every other take home for a callback.. I feel that after even 2 or 3 years of NO wright ups.. There should these some kind of incentive to keep doing good N you would only have a call back every other month or every 3 months.. It just makes it hard to live a normal life.. When you know you can't because you could always get that callback, N you have to be there the next day.. but other than that I LOVE WAUSAU COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT CENTER..

Starting off with this review that all meals prepared at AMC are hand prepared and cooked by the Chef and his team of Cooks, All foods are homemade and not one meal is repeated making this hospitals food gourmet and lovable, Monday-Friday 11am-6pm The Hospital Chef is tirelessly preparing good food for families and visitors and patients of AMC On the weekends Patients get to have what they want by contacting the kitchen staff and ordering what is good, The menu is widespread with healthy lunches dinners and desserts. Whatever catches your eye, its sure to be good. This Volunteer has had several meals at AMC and am impressed with the inevitable meals prepared. I would continue to dine whilst volunteering at AMC no matter what. Each meal is Appropriately priced so are the Refreshments. Theres even fruit, sandwiches and wraps available in case you don t want the main course. Even tho the kitchen dining room is closed after lunch you can still order what you want (patient).
