About Holland Pathways
You’ll find Holland Pathways in Wichita, Kansas, just a short drive from Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. This private treatment center provides substance use disorder and dual diagnosis treatment for adults. You can access a 60 day detox and residential rehab track as well as day treatment, intensive outpatient care, or standard outpatient care.
Veterans Program
What stands out most to me is their tailored Veteran track. You can access compassionate care from trained professionals who understand the unique challenges of military life. They provide specialized programs catered to addiction and PTSD treatment for Veterans.
You’ll participate in proven therapeutic interventions such as dialectical behavior therapy in group and individual sessions. You’ll benefit from a welcoming space to heal and connect with others who understand your experiences.
Supplemental Activities for Holistic Wellness
Another great feature I noticed was their supplemental wellness activities. They offer a holistic approach, providing services to nourish your mind, body, and spirit.
Music therapy, yoga, art therapy, life skills, exercise, cooking classes, and more are available. They even have a therapy dog to provide ongoing support and comfort throughout your stay.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
I also think it’s beneficial that they offer MAT. With MAT, you can tackle the physical and emotional aspects of quitting substances. They prescribe FDA approved medications, like buprenorphine and Vivitrol, to ease withdrawal symptoms that can get in the way of recovery.
You’ll also participate in expert backed interventions in group and individual sessions. These approaches can help you understand and change the underlying factors of addiction while gaining the tools for lasting recovery.

As a first-generation immigrant juggling elder care and teen kids, it was hard admitting I needed help. Fieldview at Holland gave me a calm space to breathe and focus on recovery. Their outpatient program fit my schedule and let me stay present for my family. I appreciated how private and respectful the staff was. Some group sessions felt a little rushed, but overall, the team was understanding and kind. I really liked how they helped families too, even if some materials weren’t in my first language. Still, I felt seen. That meant so much to me.

Levels of Care
Inpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.
Treatments
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
Clinical Services
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
