They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery. Additional levels of car | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I came to Kinnic directly from Burkwood treatment center. I was told that you have enough freedom here to lasso the world or to hang yourself. Now being at Kinnic in a twon with alot of bars, a college, and liquor being sold at gas stations, immediately I seen what they meant. But if your here to better your life, set yourself uo for success, and taki g your recovery seriously, this is the place to to so. The Tech's who are mostly ex clients are amazing, wonderful, and just the right people for the job. Going beyond that to where people come in to speak, set you up for a job, and share endless knowledge of recovery is a daily thing. The counselors here are loving, caring people who truly want the best for you. I had Matt, and I made a friend for life. He stepped uo when I really needed someone, not just on a professional level, but a human being. He showed me love, and understanding and did not leave my side until he felt I was ok, that included staying after work and getting me ice cream and pizza. Im not the type to get close to people in this world, but coming up on my last day I feel sadness, and there will be part of me that will have a hole in it. How do I replace a place like this, I cant, but I can remain in recovery and the AA community. So if your questioning whether or not to come here.... DO IT!!!!!! Thank you to each and everyone of you at Kinnnic Falls! Love yall, love Tony D.

Pride Institute has literally saved my life — more than once.
I’ve been through Pride multiple times, and every time I walk back through those doors, I’m reminded that recovery isn’t linear — but community makes it possible. Pride isn’t perfect. It’s a little messy and sometimes chaotic. It’s also one of the only places I’ve ever felt truly seen as a queer, trans person in recovery.
The staff here care, even when we don’t make it easy. Great counselors as well as a lot of variety for daily groups. I’ve learned how to tell the truth about my story, connect with people who get it, and start rebuilding a life that actually feels like mine. I’ve laughed harder here than almost anywhere else, cried in rooms full of people who understood, and found hope when I didn’t think I would again.
If you’re looking for a luxury rehab, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for a place full of flawed, brilliant, queer people trying to heal together—Pride is definitely the place to go.

Pride was such a wonderful treatment center to get my head together. Getting sober is tough but the people that work there are wonderful and understand and do all they can do to help each client.
The clients themselves are always welcoming to everyone and always there to help each other. I couldn't have done it by myself. I love the community that has excepted me. And I am proud to say that Pride will forever be a part of me, my life and my recovery.

Burkwood is an amazing place. Their staff truly care and are so rich of information to share about addiction, recovery, and real life. They’re are meant for their jobs. I’ve learned so much while I was there. I valued the daily book we filled out on our own, fully engaging and eye opening. I was lucky to have Pete as my counselor. His approach was thorough and helpful. My only complaint is that it was crowded there and access to phones, bathrooms, and laundry was a bit tricky but maybe that will change at some point. My time at Burkwood was amazing, to say the least. The staff were great and it truly is up to you if you want this place to help you! Take what you can from it and be grateful. Reading some of these horrible reviews is crazy to me! It’s not a vacation - for a treatment center it’s pretty damn nice! The classes do get a little monotonous, but for the most part were engaging and helpful. My counselor Derek was the absolute best and the RAs Diane, William, Kristin, Aidan and Ashley were genuine and helpful. They are heavily rooted in AA which I thought I would hate at first, but if you’re just open-minded and listen to what speaks to you it’s not too shabby. They helped me set up IOP and sober living after and I’m enjoying the beginning of my sober life thus far. Thank you Burkwood ❤️

Like any VA facility, this one has many concerns to resolve to provide quality care to veterans. They seem to do their best with less. Personnel and provider shortages are becoming a problem. Some appointments can take several months to be seen. Community care needs to improve in providing referrals for quality care outside the VA and not just those who are the lowest bidders. VA recently denied over $10k in payments to my dental surgeon because they couldn’t get the bill submitted within their 6 month window because the clerks had repeated bouts of COVID. I can no longer maintain continuity of care because of VAs lack of consideration. The dental provider was highly skilled and experienced. Now he refuses any further authorizations from any VA. Today’s visit went very well at the VA for a minor procedure. All staff and providers were delightfully cheerful. That is certainly an improvement. God bless!

Let me explain;
THE BEST:
Emily Schwab and the other Certified Peer Recovery Specialists dive in, driven by empathy and altruism. Getting everything a person needs in early recovery taken care of for you and lining up everything for our near future.
The Good:
The counselors care and are very attentive to our needs and help build a treatment plan worthy of a valiant attempt from our end.
The Bad:
Chad Walker. The treatment director. He is arrogant and selfish. He knows best, just ask him and he will tell you. He is very brash to people in vulnerable states and seems to have taken it upon himself to make his own rules and designs outside the scope of what EOSIS is trying to do for recovery.
Get a new director and I would recommend this place to anyone.
Also I think CPRS workers, especially ones this dedicated, should be independent contractors. Or, they should get paid more than "I think" they do because of the amount of actual work they do for us!!!

I can't say enough good things about Nystrom and Associates in Eden Prairie! I've only had two therapy appointments so far, but I'm already looking forward to scheduling my next ones. Heidi Bishop has been absolutely wonderful! She creates a safe and supportive environment that makes it easy to open up about my feelings and experiences. I'm hopeful that our work together will help me navigate the challenges I'm facing.
I also had a Rule 25 assessment with Julien Monroe, and she was fantastic! She was not only sweet but also incredibly efficient with her time. It was clear that she genuinely understood my situation and communicated everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and heard.
I appreciate the variety of services they offer, including my upcoming telehealth appointment with an ARHMS worker. It's great to have multiple ways to connect, making it convenient to fit therapy into my busy schedule. Plus, having so many resources available in one place makes it easy to manage all my needs and appointments.
Overall, I highly recommend Nystrom and Associates. The staff is caring, professional, and truly invested in helping their clients. I’m excited to continue my journey with them!
Thanks!
