St gregorys saved my life. This facility and the staff are all amazing. I found out alot about myself while i was there.I made the decision to go on my own but i know god had a hand in it. I accepted god when i was there. Jack Dewitt is an amazing councilor if your truly ready to kick you addiction this is the place to do it. I was there for 35 days the whole month of December plus a few days. I hit i milestone this past week of 4 months completely sober. This facility works if you work the program and YOU WANT IT. I gave my testimony of my story at our church last Sunday and i had several people come up to me and ask me to help them and told me how strong i was to do that. I owe my life to St Gregory. St Greg s saved my life. I went there on the verge of suicide from depression and anxiety treated with alcohol. I am an alcoholic.The comprehensive program offered there helped me to heal my mind, body and spirit focusing on my spirituality, exercise, diet, meditation and CBT.I encourage you to really dive into each of these areas while there. I am 156 days sober today. I have been using a combination of therapy, sober apps, online and in-person AA. I ve been working out 5 days a week- outside if possible, eating better, staying hydrated, getting enough rest and relying on my Higher Power to lead me, and I haven t had a single true craving for alcohol since I left treatment. It has truly been a miracle.

I brought my brother in for injuries received in a motorcycle accident.The ED Nurse and Doctor were GREAT!!! They addressed his pain and got his scans done right away. Fortunately scans were all good and he didn't receive any serve injuries. He was just banned up pretty bad. They were compassionate and through with everything they did. He was sent home with a easy to follow care plan and provided all the equipment needed to address his injuries and the bronchitis he was diagnosed with. Best experience!!!

St greg s helped me take the time and learn the tools I needed to get down to my core of what my addiction was. I was blessed to be able to come to St Gregory Recovery Center for help with alcohol addiction. I am over one year sober now thanks to the caring and knowledgeable staff. Their approach is evidence based and scientific, but also faith based. I experienced God working in my life to help take away my urges to drink and change my thought patterns. I also learned to live the 7 virtues with a great group of peers who all supported each other! Thanks to what I learned at St. Gregory, with a clear and sober head I am able to address and fix other flaws and weaknesses as well. Don t waste your time anywhere else.

I went to Orchard Place on October 14th of 2022, and I was discharged on April 24th of 2023. It s been a tad over a year since then, so I m finally gonna type a review.Orchard Place is not what people say it is. People will complain and say it was utterly horrible and everyone there sucks. Although, even though it s whoever s opinion that said that, it s wrong. (Jkjk.)For a 6 month and 10 day stay there, I can CONFIDENTLY say that all of the staff, despite the house or grade you re in, are the most kind people you will ever come across. Yes, they play by the book for structure and seem strict, but they re just doing their job. All of the staff in the houses, TC, school, etc. etc. They re all great.At Orchard Place, while helping you learn to manage your behaviors, traumas, and whatnot, the staff will teach you proper discipline, management, life skills, etc. They also give you options for anything and everything. Everyone has a different mind with different problems, and Orchard Place accommodates to that opinion (of sorts?).Overall, Orchard Place is more than helpful. I would definitely recommend going there if you genuinely need it.

I ve unfortunately been to 9 inpatient treatments in Iowa and Hazelden in Minnesota. Powell is easily the best one in Iowa and their programming and staff are right on par with Hazelden. Which is one of the best (maybe the best) treatment in the USA. I highly recommend Powell if you or a loved one is serious about getting sober. I have been here multiple times with all of my children of various ages and never had a problem, they're always helpful, up front, and courteous. I've called and been late because of traffic and they've worked with me, I had an emergency that I needed dental for my son and they were able to squeeze us in, they were up front and honest about trying but not guaranteeing anything because he was three and left all the decisions to me. We actually only found them because they were the only dentist office that would even be willing to help me the day after a holiday when my son had been an immense pain all weekend, and they were so wonderful to work with that we changed them to be our main one.

I have always received great care from the Carroll VA. From Tom and Claudia at the front desk, to my fine nurses and doctor. They always treat me with respect, and I feel fortunate to have this clinic so close to my home.

If you are looking for a VA doctor and nursing team that is one on one this is the place. I do my annual check up here, they remember me and I don't feel like a number. The doctor is nice, she is very knowledgeable plus she is always truely concerned about my health. Nurse Lori is awesome and I always enjoy talking with her. The Doctor and Nurses remember you, they don't rush through your appointments, they listen and let you take all the time you need to talk about anything. I recommend this clinic to all vets in the area and surrounding areas. Use this clinic, you'll be very pleased.
