Cfr has literally changed my life in such positive ways I never thought were possible. I was an extremely lost and addicted individual. After 21 of my 34 years of life being helplessly addicted to a number of drugs and gambling my life away, I received a call. The lady on the phone said her name was Shea and asked if I was ready to get help. I don't think I went after that phone call but it got me thinking about my life and the second time she called I knew I needed to at least try, as I was literally on the brink of death. So I did I called my sister and had her take me to guide links. Cfr saved my life that day and started me on my journey to living a sober life filled with happiness and endless support. My family has began trusting and supporting me as well and I know if it had not been for cfr I would not be where I am at today. There were a number of individuals at CFR crucial in my successful recovery. Starting with all of the residential techs guiding me through my initial withdraws and struggle I endured while in residential. Successfully graduating me from that program. Knowing I had a battle ahead of me cfr enrolled me into there IOP program where I'd like to give a shout out to the staff of all cfr. Nancy, Ronda, Hailey, Weller, and Lori you all have changed my life and I am forever grateful... I am 90 days sober today and happier than I ever thought possible. I attend church every Sunday and also continue my recovery in eop through cfr. I have found happiness and sobriety thanks to all of you at CFR and only hope anyone out there struggling with addiction can also find you guys and receive this gift of a good life as I have. I love you all and if there is anyway I could help in any way it would be my pleasure. God bless you all, and thank you for giving me the tools I needed to succeed in my journey to sobriety.

Regarding the walk-in intake, So far I have done intake and the process for that was long. They started at 10am but I had already been there since 8:12am waiting. I was the last person they accepted that day totalling 4 of us. I had to wait until each person in front of me was done, about 45 mins to 1 hour each. I was there a total of about 5 hours beginning to end. At the end you schedule a follow-up and it was 3 weeks out. Once you check in theoretically you could leave but about 2 hours in the called me in to verify my financial info. So I just stayed.

Each of us have our own experiences and interpretations of “What is a Good Health Care Team’” where you feel heard, there is respect, there is follow through, and YOU are an active team member. My Health Care Team — made up of multiple specialists across several facilities led by one of the most fabulous medical quarterbacks — Dr Reith — with numerous other coordinating specialists — De Andrade et al. Barring medical needs that sent me to St, Luke’s, ALL staff were pleasant and professional. From top to bottom the care was phenomenal to me as an individual, not by my patient number. Beyond hospitable by providing anything I could possibly need and they even gave my husband an evening snack bag so that he wouldn’t have to leave my side. I appreciated the communication between the rounding physician and surgical doctors and myself so I maintained autonomy in my own healthcare decisions. 10/10 stars!

I had a very positive experience at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. The doctors, nurses, and entire medical staff were incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive throughout the treatment process. They took the time to clearly explain every step, answered all questions patiently, and made sure we felt comfortable and well cared for. The level of care and dedication shown by the medical team was truly impressive. From the moment we arrived until the treatment was completed, everything was handled efficiently and with great kindness. The hospital facilities were clean, well organized, and the staff made sure the patient’s comfort and safety were always a priority. I’m very grateful for the excellent care we received. I came to ASAC after 15 years of serious substance abuse and it was the first treatment center I had ever been to. I am coming up on my one year anniversary being completely sober. I am happy, healthy, and in control of my life in a way others have prayed I would be for a long time. The staff at ASAC helped me in so many ways I could not list them all, they were nothing short of amazing to my family. These people at ASAC are the most knowledgeable, caring, capable bunch of professionals who have assembled a team that gets results. I’ve unfortunately been in recovery several times at ASAC. They really do care. However, they can’t do the work for you. I’ve always been given good advice on how to move forward after treatment, but get sober and think we’re Superman. I learned a lot. Now, how bad do we want sobriety?

Asac has changed my life not once but twice! I had 7 years of real recovery when I left in 2018. When I relapsed I went back and they dug deeper into my trauma with me to find the root cause of my addiction and are helping me thoroughly examine every aspect to prevent another relapse. Barring medical needs that sent me to St, Luke’s, ALL staff were pleasant and professional. From top to bottom the care was phenomenal to me as an individual, not by my patient number. Beyond hospitable by providing anything I could possibly need and they even gave my husband an evening snack bag so that he wouldn’t have to leave my side. I appreciated the communication between the rounding physician and surgical doctors and myself so I maintained autonomy in my own healthcare decisions. 10/10 stars!

I had a very positive experience at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. The doctors, nurses, and entire medical staff were incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive throughout the treatment process. They took the time to clearly explain every step, answered all questions patiently, and made sure we felt comfortable and well cared for. The level of care and dedication shown by the medical team was truly impressive. From the moment we arrived until the treatment was completed, everything was handled efficiently and with great kindness. The hospital facilities were clean, well organized, and the staff made sure the patient’s comfort and safety were always a priority. I’m very grateful for the excellent care we received. I love the new Abbe Center building. They have really progressed since their last building. Sometimes communication can be off but that’s everywhere. Once you find the right people apart of your care team, you will love Abbe Center. They have lots of recourses available for the bus/getting to appointments. But sometimes scheduling can be tricky.

I feel this program is very positive with a very nice, experienced staff. The members of the group are very supportive and nice people for the most part. The cost is worth it if you want to change your life and stop using drugs. It has been very positive for me. It is my second time in this program and it will only work if you want to change. Very professional!! I went to two different places to do my evaluation for my court ordered for owi. The two places I went they truly didn't listen and were rude but this place was amazing!! I highly recommend! Jessica really listened to me and was extremely kind. She got my stuff over to the court and dot too really fast. If it wasn't for her I would still be stuck at a rude place with a councilor who was making me substance abuse classes for absolutely nothing but for my money. I can't thank this place enough and Jessica. My dad and I left this place crying in tears of joy because the horrible battle was finally over.

I went to tanager a couple years ago and I may not have seen how much it helped me then but I realize now. I'm positive every staff member would be happy to help any kid as long as they wanted it or asked. Almost every one of the therapists do an excellent job in my opinion and they all are their cus they do genuinely care. Even if y'all don't think so. The only bad part about tanager i would have to say is the kids. Having to live in a cottage with 10 other kids going through possibly similar traumas as yours or completely different and the kids seem to just, clash. But yeah 👍🏻

I interned here when I was in undergrad at University of Iowa and Tanager is truly a well run facility. The staff is well trained and they provide structured, supportive, and comprehensive therapeutic interventions for children with myriad needs. My experience here was exceptional!

These people are amazing in helping us. You'll have your reviews that claim otherwise but those are people who don't want to follow rules or are not serious about recovery and leading a normal life. Im in a much better place because of them. Rules change but they post them and tell you. The counselors and nurses have their own set of rules to follow and shooting the messenger isn't very kind. I've had 3 counselors but one received a promotion, one moved away, and my current Pam is amazing. I get sound and useful advice from them all. They help me fix issues. They are not just talk. If you want your life back and truly want help id go here. I drive an hour and 45 minutes just to get help from them specifically. I regret none of the gas mileage...
