My previous visit to new horizons was a bad experience I was rescheduled which I already left a review about but that was the best thing she could have done because I had the pleasure of being greeted at the front desk by Shelia whom was a very pleasant receptionist,I also had the pleasure of doing my intake with two individuals that really changed my experience and perception of this place thank you James Jordan and Shelia your people skills are phenomenal and you three can make a difference in people’s lives. My sister had came through the er because of severe gallbladder pain. She was told she had to have an emergency gallbladder removal surgery and moved to the Peds unit because she is younger (20) yr . At the time she was 3 hrs away from me and has no family out here. Until I was able to get to her the nurses and surgical team talked her through everything they were doing. Made her feel at home and safe. Kandace was her nurse twords the end of her stay till her discharge . She was very informative, super supportive, knowledgeable, helpful, and just an all around amazing employee. I couldn’t thank this hospital enough for how they helped my sister through this because i know it was scary not having any one out here at the time. A serious special thanks to KANDACE your are so amazing I hope you get a generous raise.❤️

Very supportive and caring staff. Everyone is attentive and helpful. Your needs are heard and taken care of. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here both times I was a client. I learned so much about addiction, coping skills, worked through trauma and personal troubles, and truly found myself enjoying my hobbies again. The group dynamic and social interaction is what really stands out the most to me. Going through everything here with strangers who are in the same shoes as you really gives you light and perspective to this disease. I couldn’t recommend this place enough to anyone struggling.

Top of the world ranch has been an exceptional place for my recovery, everything from the staff to the exceptional food served! The staff really took the time to really see what was the core problem and helped me address my issues. Cfr has literally changed my life in such positive ways I never thought were possible. I was an extremely lost and addicted individual. After 21 of my 34 years of life being helplessly addicted to a number of drugs and gambling my life away, I received a call. The lady on the phone said her name was Shea and asked if I was ready to get help. I don't think I went after that phone call but it got me thinking about my life and the second time she called I knew I needed to at least try, as I was literally on the brink of death. So I did I called my sister and had her take me to guide links. Cfr saved my life that day and started me on my journey to living a sober life filled with happiness and endless support. My family has began trusting and supporting me as well and I know if it had not been for cfr I would not be where I am at today. There were a number of individuals at CFR crucial in my successful recovery. Starting with all of the residential techs guiding me through my initial withdraws and struggle I endured while in residential. Successfully graduating me from that program. Knowing I had a battle ahead of me cfr enrolled me into there IOP program where I'd like to give a shout out to the staff of all cfr. Nancy, Ronda, Hailey, Weller, and Lori you all have changed my life and I am forever grateful... I am 90 days sober today and happier than I ever thought possible. I attend church every Sunday and also continue my recovery in eop through cfr. I have found happiness and sobriety thanks to all of you at CFR and only hope anyone out there struggling with addiction can also find you guys and receive this gift of a good life as I have. I love you all and if there is anyway I could help in any way it would be my pleasure. God bless you all, and thank you for giving me the tools I needed to succeed in my journey to sobriety.

Edited Review: I had to come back and update my review after a year and a half. In my last review, I gave them one star because no one ever answered the phone. It didn’t seem like they had a receptionist or enough staff to handle calls if one person was busy. Now, every time I call, someone answers right away and I don’t have to leave a voicemail anymore, which is great! They’ve improved so much compared to a couple of years ago. Their communication has also gotten much better — they now call you back promptly or send updates through the MyChart app regarding prescriptions or when they’ve sent them to your pharmacy. On top of that, the staff I’ve spoken with have all been very friendly and helpful. I really appreciate you guys listening to feedback and making positive changes.

I have never had a problem at the Robert Young center. They are not perfect, but no one is perfect. However I really do not like talking to a television screen instead of face to face with a person. This is very impersonal like talking to a robot.

These people are amazing in helping us. You'll have your reviews that claim otherwise but those are people who don't want to follow rules or are not serious about recovery and leading a normal life. Im in a much better place because of them. Rules change but they post them and tell you. The counselors and nurses have their own set of rules to follow and shooting the messenger isn't very kind. I've had 3 counselors but one received a promotion, one moved away, and my current Pam is amazing. I get sound and useful advice from them all. They help me fix issues. They are not just talk. If you want your life back and truly want help id go here. I drive an hour and 45 minutes just to get help from them specifically. I regret none of the gas mileage...

What's awesome about this hospital is that not even 20 minutes of me being in the hospital on Oct 3rd 2024 to Oct 7th 2024 the doctor that seen me found my disabilities way faster than any other doctor here in Michigan I hope I can talk to him to get what he found because Michigan can't find what that doctor found the reason why I was in he hospital was because of my roll over accident that ended my trucking career and my wife died last year can you guys please have that doctor send me what he found because my current doctor can't find anything and I won't my bet with this hospital of giving my kidney that Michigan is going to lie about my health after a year from my cmv accident (update)

The staff is friendly and respectful and good at their jobs. You can tell that they want you to succeed. If you have to do treatment in the area I'd recommend Ricca over the options, especially over riverside. Stay away from that one!!! Good luck!
