Outpatient rehab programs are designed to support clients who are exiting inpatient treatment and for those who prefer to remain in their own homes during active recovery. Clients in outpatient care typically integrate treatment into their ordinary daily routine, including work and school schedules. Evening, night, and weekend therapy sessions, recovery training courses, and other outpatient services are widely available to accommodate clients’ needs. Many outpatient rehabs also offer medication assisted treatment (MAT), including medication induction and maintenance.

Intensive Outpatient

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) offer high-level care for clients in early recovery or who are at an increased risk of relapse. Clients may also enroll in an IOP immediately following detox, enabling them to continue to work and to live at home. Clients attend multiple outpatient treatment sessions for a minimum of nine hours per week. Inpatient

The residential treatment program at Alcohol & Drug Dependency Services offers the following: The full residential treatment continuum including primary treatment, medically monitored and half way services is provided in a non hospital setting. Treatment is for males and females 18 years of age or older. The residential treatment program is located at the ADDS Lincoln Center in Burlington, Iowa.

12-Step

Many rehabs base their treatment models on 12 step programs, which are often considered a gold standard in addiction recovery. 12 step recovery prioritizes participants’ spiritual development as a means to heal the emotional and psychological wounds that have contributed to the addiction. Participants engage in regular, peer-led group meetings, which are free, anonymous, and accessible 24 hours per day, 365 days a year in most communities. Though these programs are spiritually-grounded, religious affiliation isn’t required.

Aftercare Support

ADDS recovery management program is provided for any client who has completed a treatment program. This program is held 1 time every week. The objective of the program is to assist clients to maintain sobriety and be able to share any concerns, problems and solutions. Regarding discharge, ADDS utilizes criteria set forth by the ASAM. Based on ASAM 6 Dimensions and criteria, you and your counselor will determine discharge criteria and appropriateness of referrals. Discharge criteria and referral are not simply determined by your counselor as your ideas, concerns, strengths, and needs are invaluable to this process. Recovery Support Services (RSS) offers a broad array of client-selected provider or community-based supports and services intended to enhance and further the client’s recovery journey.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Couples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life.
