Cfr has literally changed my life in such positive ways I never thought were possible. I was an extremely lost and addicted individual. After 21 of my 34 years of life being helplessly addicted to a number of drugs and gambling my life away, I received a call. The lady on the phone said her name was Shea and asked if I was ready to get help. I don't think I went after that phone call but it got me thinking about my life and the second time she called I knew I needed to at least try, as I was literally on the brink of death. So I did I called my sister and had her take me to guide links. Cfr saved my life that day and started me on my journey to living a sober life filled with happiness and endless support. My family has began trusting and supporting me as well and I know if it had not been for cfr I would not be where I am at today. There were a number of individuals at CFR crucial in my successful recovery. Starting with all of the residential techs guiding me through my initial withdraws and struggle I endured while in residential. Successfully graduating me from that program. Knowing I had a battle ahead of me cfr enrolled me into there IOP program where I'd like to give a shout out to the staff of all cfr. Nancy, Ronda, Hailey, Weller, and Lori you all have changed my life and I am forever grateful... I am 90 days sober today and happier than I ever thought possible. I attend church every Sunday and also continue my recovery in eop through cfr. I have found happiness and sobriety thanks to all of you at CFR and only hope anyone out there struggling with addiction can also find you guys and receive this gift of a good life as I have. I love you all and if there is anyway I could help in any way it would be my pleasure. God bless you all, and thank you for giving me the tools I needed to succeed in my journey to sobriety.

Regarding the walk-in intake, So far I have done intake and the process for that was long. They started at 10am but I had already been there since 8:12am waiting. I was the last person they accepted that day totalling 4 of us. I had to wait until each person in front of me was done, about 45 mins to 1 hour each. I was there a total of about 5 hours beginning to end. At the end you schedule a follow-up and it was 3 weeks out. Once you check in theoretically you could leave but about 2 hours in the called me in to verify my financial info. So I just stayed.

The five stars I'm giving is only for the outpatient part. Rachel is a great counselor and knows her stuff. I learn a lot from her. Jessica Hartz is the best employee at Adds. She bent over backwards to get me into inpatient. She is truly a blessing. She's a really good counselor also. The staff down at inpatient needs reevaluated and they need to give them UAS. If they want their clients to stay clean down there they shouldn't let their employees do meth. If I wasn't so serious about my recovery and If it was early in my recovery I'm sure I would have walked out and got high but by the grace of God I'm 106 days sober today.

Each of us have our own experiences and interpretations of “What is a Good Health Care Team’” where you feel heard, there is respect, there is follow through, and YOU are an active team member. My Health Care Team — made up of multiple specialists across several facilities led by one of the most fabulous medical quarterbacks — Dr Reith — with numerous other coordinating specialists — De Andrade et al. Despite other Iowa Health Care Facility choices, it is my opinion that University of Iowa Health Care System has some of the best health care specialists in Iowa City— that are truly patient centered that will allow you to become a part of a strong health care team.

My experience here has been 💯, start to finish. From the front desk, to the neuropsychologist, this place has provided a wonderful team of people. They are kind and empathetic, patient and supportive. If you are having trouble with knowing when your appointments are, make sure that you are set up with their text and email notification system. You won't find a better place for your mental health needs. Dr. Sanchez is the absolute best there is! I can't thank him enough for all he has done, and continues to do for me. He takes his time, really listens, and cares deeply about his patients. I have worked with a couple of the therapists. One, Rob, is no longer there, having gotten more education and moved away. He was amazing! Mike is awesome, and I am so thankful to have him on my team. He really cares, listens, and is just great! The nurses are also caring, compassionate, and really take an interest in you personally. The office staff is also the best. They work hard to see that your needs are met. As you can tell if you've read my entire review, I wouldn't go anywhere else! Thank you Great River Mental Health for ALL you do!!

Mahaska Health provided excellent care during my husband’s surgery, and everyone we interacted with was kind, capable, and attentive. When our car broke down the day before, a hospital employee who had just finished her shift noticed our situation and helped us get the vehicle safely into a parking spot. After my husband’s surgery the next day, a member of the admissions team went out of her way to arrange transportation for us without us even asking. Those thoughtful gestures made a stressful time so much easier. We’re truly grateful for the care and kindness we received.

I am so glad I moved all my care here. Every time I come in, everyone helps me. The volunteers, receptions, lab techs, radiology techs, CT techs, my doctors. I would be lost without these people. They listen and have given my hope back. As I say healthcare is not a one size fits all. It's a partnership. Just to be heard and taken seriously, huge. I let them know how much I appreciate them. I have had 2 Therapist at SIMHC that became more like close friends to me. They have given me tools to deal with the loss of my son. Mental health is a very tough field right now and the shortage of licensed providers make it very challenging for facilities. As someone who has been to several treatments, The Abbey is the only place that, after going, I’ve been able to maintain my sobriety. The staff is brilliant and very kind. Barring medical needs that sent me to St, Luke’s, ALL staff were pleasant and professional. From top to bottom the care was phenomenal to me as an individual, not by my patient number. Beyond hospitable by providing anything I could possibly need and they even gave my husband an evening snack bag so that he wouldn’t have to leave my side. I appreciated the communication between the rounding physician and surgical doctors and myself so I maintained autonomy in my own healthcare decisions. 10/10 stars!

I had a very positive experience at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. The doctors, nurses, and entire medical staff were incredibly professional, compassionate, and attentive throughout the treatment process. They took the time to clearly explain every step, answered all questions patiently, and made sure we felt comfortable and well cared for. The level of care and dedication shown by the medical team was truly impressive. From the moment we arrived until the treatment was completed, everything was handled efficiently and with great kindness. The hospital facilities were clean, well organized, and the staff made sure the patient’s comfort and safety were always a priority. I’m very grateful for the excellent care we received. Thank you to the entire team at St. Luke’s for their commitment to patient care and for making a difficult situation much easier.
