Cfr has literally changed my life in such positive ways I never thought were possible. I was an extremely lost and addicted individual. After 21 of my 34 years of life being helplessly addicted to a number of drugs and gambling my life away, I received a call. The lady on the phone said her name was Shea and asked if I was ready to get help. I don't think I went after that phone call but it got me thinking about my life and the second time she called I knew I needed to at least try, as I was literally on the brink of death. So I did I called my sister and had her take me to guide links. Cfr saved my life that day and started me on my journey to living a sober life filled with happiness and endless support. My family has began trusting and supporting me as well and I know if it had not been for cfr I would not be where I am at today. There were a number of individuals at CFR crucial in my successful recovery. Starting with all of the residential techs guiding me through my initial withdraws and struggle I endured while in residential. Successfully graduating me from that program. Knowing I had a battle ahead of me cfr enrolled me into there IOP program where I'd like to give a shout out to the staff of all cfr. Nancy, Ronda, Hailey, Weller, and Lori you all have changed my life and I am forever grateful... I am 90 days sober today and happier than I ever thought possible. I attend church every Sunday and also continue my recovery in eop through cfr. I have found happiness and sobriety thanks to all of you at CFR and only hope anyone out there struggling with addiction can also find you guys and receive this gift of a good life as I have. I love you all and if there is anyway I could help in any way it would be my pleasure. God bless you all, and thank you for giving me the tools I needed to succeed in my journey to sobriety.

The five stars I'm giving is only for the outpatient part. Rachel is a great counselor and knows her stuff. I learn a lot from her. Jessica Hartz is the best employee at Adds. She bent over backwards to get me into inpatient. She is truly a blessing. She's a really good counselor also. The staff down at inpatient needs reevaluated and they need to give them UAS. If they want their clients to stay clean down there they shouldn't let their employees do meth. If I wasn't so serious about my recovery and If it was early in my recovery I'm sure I would have walked out and got high but by the grace of God I'm 106 days sober today.

What's awesome about this hospital is that not even 20 minutes of me being in the hospital on Oct 3rd 2024 to Oct 7th 2024 the doctor that seen me found my disabilities way faster than any other doctor here in Michigan I hope I can talk to him to get what he found because Michigan can't find what that doctor found the reason why I was in he hospital was because of my roll over accident that ended my trucking career and my wife died last year can you guys please have that doctor send me what he found because my current doctor can't find anything and I won't my bet with this hospital of giving my kidney that Michigan is going to lie about my health after a year from my cmv accident (update)

Mahaska Health provided excellent care during my husband’s surgery, and everyone we interacted with was kind, capable, and attentive. When our car broke down the day before, a hospital employee who had just finished her shift noticed our situation and helped us get the vehicle safely into a parking spot. After my husband’s surgery the next day, a member of the admissions team went out of her way to arrange transportation for us without us even asking. Those thoughtful gestures made a stressful time so much easier. We’re truly grateful for the care and kindness we received.

Very happy with the care I’ve received here. Seth Mendenhall really takes the time to listen to you and doesn’t dismiss your concerns. He’s professional, but compassionate and very knowledgeable when it comes to medications. He’s pretty easy to talk to and I never feel any judgement when I’m honest about what’s going on. He values your input when it comes to medication adjustments and actively works to include you when making decisions. He’s also great at making you laugh even when you don’t really feel like you want to. His nurse, Destinee is also very sweet and very responsive to voicemails or messages you leave at the office. They both truly just want the best for you.

The level of care here is unmatched. Michelle has been my provider for several years now, and I have never felt more respected or seen from a mental health provider. The quality of care that she provides, how she listens, and how she makes me feel safe in her presence. She always reminds me how far I have come and I truly look forward to my appointments with her. I could not ask for a better person to be on my care team! Also shout out to Destinee the RN, very sweet and caring lady as well.

My experience here has been 💯, start to finish. From the front desk, to the neuropsychologist, this place has provided a wonderful team of people. They are kind and empathetic, patient and supportive. If you are having trouble with knowing when your appointments are, make sure that you are set up with their text and email notification system. It’s great!! Thanks especially to, Victoria, Seth, Christina, and to the support staff, Cheyanna and my wonderful medical assistant that I can’t remember the name of. Thank you!!!

I have had 2 Therapist at SIMHC that became more like close friends to me. They have given me tools to deal with the loss of my son. Mental health is a very tough field right now and the shortage of licensed providers make it very challenging for facilities. My dad had surgery and everyone in that matter was amazing for dealing w a grumpy old man. I got lost on the way to the cafeteria and an employee was heading the same way so she walked me down and gave me a tour and made sure I was alright. Powell saved my life. Was there during Christmas of 2024 and it was the best thing I could’ve ever done for myself. Amazing 24/7 nurse staff that literally saved my life in the middle of the night. An amazing counselor team, men and women’s therapists that were actually some of the easiest therapists I’ve ever gotten to talk to. Couldn’t recommend a better place to help you recover. And honestly, the people giving one star reviews and such are people that do not want to recover. This place is not a hotel or a spa that’s gonna rub your feet through the process. You are going to be sober 100% if you do what they tell you and that’s that. When I was there I would see people constantly go up to ER (needed) and come back a week later looking so much healthier and active. Never ever ever would I imagine Powell to turn people away unless they were completely full or even recommend someone to go somewhere else. I said it already but I’ll say it again, these people did not want to get sober, period.

The staff at Powell are the kindest, most caring and attentive people. Matt takes an interest in every patient. The councilors are available anytime to talk. The facility is clean and quiet. AA and NA meetings are attended daily with small group and community groups for healing and therapeutic purposes. Each patient is an individual and many small focus groups are held to give more pointed treatment. Inpatient treatment is compassionate and still individualized. Outpatient and Continuing Care keep patients focused and recovery driven. I am grateful for my experience and recovery is within your grasp.
