This clinic saved my life. With their help, I have been clean for 5 years and almost 2 months. I owe a, "thank you" to everyone involved. !First of all, thanks to my amazing counselor. He keeps in touch frequently. He makes me feel great about my recovery and shows interest in my life choices. Thanks to the group that I attend by phone every Monday. It is ran by an awesome, no nonsense, counselor. Thanks to the wonderful staff members who greet me every morning with a smile. Thanks to the dosing nurses, who are, in my opinion, the best staff of dosing nurses that I've delt with in the 5 years that I've been coming here. I like to call them, "The Dream Team." Since they've been here, I get in and out in 5 minutes or less. I've also never seen a monthly get done in 15 minutes or less, until the Dream Team came along. That is impressive! Stay awesome ladies!! Thanks to the insurance companies. If you have Medicaid, you can get free cab rides to the clinic and back home every day, which I am absolutely thankful for. I live 40 miles away and it's expensive and sometimes hard to get to the clinic. I owe a huge thanks to, The Way Shuttle. For 2+ years, I've been riding with them and they are the best! I would recommend CRCTC to anyone who is struggling with addiction and is ready to get help. With the right choices, we can recover, one day at a time.

Great people, I couldn't imagine there is a more understanding and accommodating Clinic out there, if your struggling with Opiate addiction and scared or worried it won't work, it does but you have to do your part too, this is the clinic to go to they will have you set up and dosed on your intake day so really what do you have to lose. The people here will take great care of you My counceler Brett is the easiest person to talk for me I imagine the others are great as well. All the nurces are Good people very upbeat and positive. The Receptionist is always nice and has been able to help me with any problems I may have. Just a great place to get and stay clean.

If you’re struggling with drug or alcohol addiction you can start your recovery with the ASAC - Area Substance Abuse Council. Their main office is in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This office can connect you with any of their more than a dozen rehabs in the area. No matter who you are or what your needs are, they probably have a program for you with ASAC.
I’m so thankful for ASAC. After wasting 5 weeks at St. Luke’s Chemical Dependency Center (full review on that experience separately), I came here feeling frustrated and discouraged. I explained everything I had gone through, and ASAC immediately made me feel heard and understood. They were far more knowledgeable about my case and didn’t judge me when my marijuana levels were slightly elevated—even after over a month of quitting—because they actually understood that’s normal. The counselors here are compassionate, supportive, and truly know what they’re doing. If you’re looking for real help, don’t waste your time and money at St. Luke’s. Go to ASAC instead. They’ll actually help you, rather than tear you down!

This place is what you make it. You can't blame the facility for those who aren't ready to get help and find loopholes by bringing in contraband. Typically, those of whom not coming in with the right mindset are those who are gonna leave bad reviews. But I promise. This is the best program in the state of Iowa. Of course there are things that could use a little more attention in order to make people's stay, less stressful. Un-certified staff can sometimes make bad decisions or push people away..but the clinical team is great. I highly suggest anyone to disregard any negative feedback given on these reviews because there was some type of insubordination on their behalf that as a result..left them with an unsatisfactory comment. For anyone reading this. Don't waste your time coming here if you aren't ready to change. If you're just coming bc you're being forced to. You'll interfere with those who are actually trying to change and not only that..you'll be wasting resources someone really needs and you'll leave a had review because you're all butt hurt about your behavior not being tolerated. Believe me, they give you A TON of leeway...but they can tell when they're getting used. Great facility, saved my life, all the counselors are good people. And remember. It is what you make it.

Ok 1st off I wish I could give them more stars. Its an amazing environment where you are surrounded with people who actually care. You go there at the worst moments of life and the counselors and staff dont judge you ever! The food, the atmosphere, the knowledge you get! 10/10 Kelly, Lindsey, Steve, Kalighe Top teir baby! Anyone who ranks a low star probably got kicked out for doing something they weren't suppose to be doing, aren't ready for the help they have to give and want to be Iowa's undesirables forever. (Sorry thats on you)I will 100% forever sing their praises and recommend people who need help to ASAC.

I went to tanager a couple years ago and I may not have seen how much it helped me then but I realize now. Regarding the walk-in intake, So far I have done intake and the process for that was long. They started at 10am but I had already been there since 8:12am waiting. I was the last person they accepted that day totalling 4 of us. I had to wait until each person in front of me was done, about 45 mins to 1 hour each. I was there a total of about 5 hours beginning to end. At the end you schedule a follow-up and it was 3 weeks out. Once you check in theoretically you could leave but about 2 hours in the called me in to verify my financial info. So I just stayed.

The care that I received was spectacular. Yet, being in the ER overnight before a bed was available was interesting. To hear the staff at the counters and the Chief of Police comments about DEI was mind blowing, upsetting, and sad. The comments and how they felt were mean, ignorant, and callus about it made my time in the ER extremely uncomfortable while I was being treated by the kind nurses. I asked questions. The response I received was nothing less than racist. I was glad that I was treated by nurses that were professional, kind, and concerned about the care of a Veteran, but to the others, a disgrace. To compare DEI to Affirmative action was truly mind blowing and ignorance. That's just part of the conversations I've heard. SMH

I have been to the VA in St Louis New Orleans all over the country of many different VA's. Iowa City and Fayetteville Arkansas are probably two of the best. I only had one bad experience at Iowa City when an asshole doctor didn't want to do his job in the ER. But everyone else there is awesome. I've received more help from Iowa City than any other hospital or VA care facility in the country. I don't live in the area anymore but I still travel over 100 mi to use Iowa city's VA. To me it's the best.

I have been to this hospital since I was a child and continue to be followed by great providers and no words can express how grateful I am for the care I have received and if I could give back in anyway I would. The doctors and nurses and pharmacists do what they can to provide the best care possible for patients and it clearly shows. I would like to thank transplant team and genetics for everything and continued care and support. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because of aftercare from transplant team when it comes to medical insurance. They do their best and I fully respect and admire them for everything they do. When it comes to the nurse coordinators Sometimes patients need to guide them as they do not always know - depending on who is assigned to you. When it comes to dealing with medical insurance it has become so difficult especially for getting medications that are essential like Aranesp and other similar meds which are ridiculously expensive. The workaround should not be so difficult and I don’t know why there is sometimes hesitation from the team which is kind of frustrating. It’s understandable that no one likes to deal with insurance companies but this needs to improve.

I had a week long stent at this hospital recently, in particular Nurse Hughes at short stop was wonderful. Medical staff is treated harshly, and we should all take a moment to truly appreciate those who do for others more often. No mistakes were made, but even if they had been we're all only human. Nurse Hughes thank you, and I hope nothing but bright days in your future
