Not just the doctors but every single individual I have met there is understanding, compassionate, truly seem to love helping vets and fighting for us. From checking in with reception to getting to your appointment they are the best and most efficient caregivers I have ever dealt with. I am proud to say they are my doctor's and can say 100% this is what VA healthcare should look like.

Jamie was an amazing representative for YSS. Very helpful and a godsend. I was dumped off on the side of the road 700 miles from anything familiar to me and she picked me up from Marshalltown Police department and took me to the Bridge house in Ames where I was able to get a Greyhound bus ticket back to Dallas.

Love this place and the people in it. They have made me feel at home from the first moment I walked through their doors. Special shout out to the caring and compassionate staff.

I owe a great portion of my life to this place. If you exhaust all levels of yourself to the program....your life will change!!! My counselor was an ultimate savior. I have the utmost respect and love for those 2 ladies and all the staff that provided me with the necessary tools and feedback. You guys helped me save my life ..You know who you are!!!

I had to take alcohol classes at Urban dreams December 2024, and I can honestly say it was a very positive experience. The staff at Urban Dreams were always professionals, respectful, and supportive, which made the process much easier to go through. Our Instructor, Kristen Steele, went above and beyond in every class. She was not only knowledgeable but also approachable, making sure that everyone felt comfortable and understood the material. Kristen shared a lot of valuable information that wasn't just about completing a requirement, but about really learning how alcohol can impact our lives and how to make better choices moving forward. I also had a substance abuse evaluation with Felicia Chumley, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She is one of the kindest, most attentive people I've met in this process. Felicia made feel completely comfortable from the start, which really helped me open up and be honest about my situation. Felicia made what could have been a stressful experience into something positive and encouraging. I would definitely recommend Urban Dreams to anyone who needs this classes or simply wants to gain more understanding about alcohol and its effects.

Took there owi class instructor Rachel was very positive all around good attitude very nice highly recommended if you need to take the owi class

48hr class instruction was next Level with Rachel as my instructor. Material was clear and poiniant. Natasha was amazing in her role as our security person. Highly recommend.

I’m still alive ! I spent 30 days in prelude and loved the discussions and topics , we would meet with counselors each day and learned everyday coping skills . I even stopped smoking cigarettes too!! Made lifelong friends and attend meetings when I can . 3 years + sober for me !

Very respectful people who you ever meet especially for our kids. I am a mentor for YSS and I am glad to help our kids and to make a difference!!

YSS saved my life, then gave me purpose in life. I was a very troubled kid, a burden on society, and my parents were at their wit's end. They were desperate when they turned to YSS. And while I fought it at first (couldn't stand authority), I eventually surrendered to the program/the process and my life turned 180 degrees. Today, as a person in long-term recovery, my purpose is to create hope and opportunities for others that are struggling. So very grateful to YSS, as they believed in me more than I believed in myself.

These folks do wonderful work with youth. If you wonder if they can help you and your kids, the answer is Yes!
