I mainly go to the pain management clinic. Megan is great! Very professional and easy to talk to. A few years ago, I had physical therapy there with I think it was Chris, not real sure but he was easy to work with. The only thing that I really don't like is how far it is. Now, I have mobility issues and know I wouldn't be able to walk all that way, so I choose to go elsewhere. Another issue I had was with one of the doctors at the Cityville clinic. He kept on insisting that I was faking my breathing problems, because he didn't understand what I was trying to say. They put me in a room, and I waited for 2 hours, all while having a difficult time breathing and on top of that, I started to have a panic attack. I had to call my boyfriend that was waiting outside in the car to bring me a rescue inhaler and my anxiety medication. After I calmed down a bit, I told the nurse I was leaving. I even think the doctor claimed I was only there at the clinic to get meds. He claimed I was showing signs of med seeking behavior. Uh-huh, I call BS, NEVER! I HAVE NEVER sought out medication from an Urgent Care Clinic or an ER because of a habit. All I know is, I think that was the last time I went to that clinic. Also, the Dental Clinic - Who has the time to sit at the dentist for a "wish you the best of luck-cattle call" to see if you make it on the magical list to be seen that morning/day? Absolutely ridiculous! Come on- can't you do better than that?
But as I started out with for the most part, I've had good experiences.

Broadlawns has done amazing things for me in both their Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic and even more maybe in Physical Therapy. I have been to PT there 4 times for 4 separate issues. (I have a chronic illness.) I have also done physical therapy elsewhere several times and twice before for one of the same issues at another provider. Broadlawns PT blows them all out of the water. I have received life-changing physical therapy for pain I have tried to manage for years ta none of this other PT seemed to touch. Before Broadlawns I had started to think PT was useless and now it has made a huge difference in my life!

If you’re having problems with depression, anxiety, or o | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The only bad thing about this place is that its hard to set up an appointment. They almost never answer their phones.
That said, once you get in, there is some wonderful staff. First I'd like to thank Tyler Curtis. She is a nurse there. And I came to her with a health issue that has become a major insurance hurdle for me, long story short. Tyler not only listened to every concern I have, attentively, but she then proccessed to go out of her way to correct a bunch of issues I was having with the above described problem. She also helped rearrange things so that I could see the right doctor (I was actually scheduled for the wrong doctor). Not only that, but she got me in the very next day after this mishap. Tyler is a great nurse and, from what I can tell, she is an even better human being.
There are two ladies at the front desk who have also gone out of their way to help me in recent weeks. One is a woman who usually wears rainbow colored glasses. The other is a Latino/Asian woman who usually checks people in. In the last couple of weeks, both of these ladies have gone out of their way to help me resolve the red tape issues regarding the surgery I need. They have printed files for me, rescheduled things for me, and done all kinds of other things to help he through this health/red tape issue I am having. I wish I could remember their names but I can't.
Finally there is Dr Lashelle Goody. This was my first time meeting her. She, like Tyler Curtis before her, listened to all my concerns and health issues attentively and carefully. To make a long story short, she then proceeded to help set me up with a number of appointments that should lead to be getting the surgery I need. We talked for a long time and she was fully committed to helping me. It seems she went the extra mile for me as well.
I wish I could remember the front office women's names who I described earlier, so I could properly name them. Nonetheless I am thankful for all these ladies and very appreciative of what they all have done for me in recent weeks

This needs to change because the call center has caused problems for me being able to contact phc about important things that can't wait for someone to see a message and get back to me. Iowa is ranked 46th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $60,174.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Iowa vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Iowa. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Iowa that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here’s the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment in Iowa.
UnitedHealth Group is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Iowa, with 36 treatment centers in the state accepting their insurance. Blue Cross Blue Shield is the 2nd most popular with 33 treatment centers accepting it followed by Aetna in 3rd accepted by 29 drug rehabs.
