About KVC Nebraska

KVC Nebraska is a part of the large KVC Health Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children, families, and communities with vital social services and mental health supports.

From their office in Omaha, Nebraska, they offer many programs that help strengthen and support individuals and families. These include substance use evaluations and intensive outpatient substance use treatment programs that are available to everyone aged 12 and older.

Comprehensive and Legally Compliant Assessments

If you’re not sure whether you need dedicated addiction treatment services or are unsure of which path best fits your needs, their substance evaluation program can be a great first step. They’ll pair you up with a coordinating counselor who helps assess your life in detail, considering medical information, level of drug or alcohol use, environmental factors, relationships, and more.

They ensure that the process is confidential, non judgement, and convenient. Once it’s done, they can help set you up with a well tailored care plan or a referral to a service that best fits your needs.

Community Based Outpatient Treatment Programs

Their intensive outpatient program involves six to eight weeks of therapy sessions, mainly in groups. In this environment, they provide you with counseling and skills that can help you break addictive habits while also learning and feeling connected in a recovery peer group.

The support we’ve received from KVC, and Travis Chandler specifically, has been incredible. He truly cares about both the children and the families (us) who open their homes. It takes a group effort, and together KVC and our family have partnered to enhance the lives of many children!

Working with Travis ( my granddaughter's case specialist ) and Dawn ( granddaughter's therapist ) has been a blessing! Travis is always available and willing to to go an extra mile when it comes to children, making sure my granddaughter's needs are met. Travis really advocates for the children and kinship family. Dawn, I can't even express in enough words how grateful we are having her in our lives. My granddaughter's absolutely loves and trust her totally. Dawn interacts with the girls during therapy sessions, engages in activities with them while observing and talking to them. I feel comfortable asking and seeking guidance on problems or issues that might rise up from time to time, especially with innocent children who have experience severe trauma along with having disabilities. I am lucky to have Travis and Dawn from KVC

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

KVC Nebraska works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are designed to evolve with clients' evolving needs. Most programs provide between nine and 20 hours of care weekly, with the frequency and intensity of treatment gradually decreasing as clients grow stronger and more stable in their recovery. Intensive outpatient rehabs specialize in myriad treatment modalities, including medication assisted treatment (MAT) for those in alcohol and/or opioid recovery, addiction counseling, recovery-focused life skills training, and evidence-based holistic care.

Treatments

In Nebraska, substance abuse treatment programs are available to individuals struggling with addiction, and those with co-occurring mental health disorders. These programs utilize evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions. With various treatment options, including outpatient, inpatient, and residential programs, you'll receive expert and personalized care that can help you overcome addiction and meet your unique needs.

Programs

The providers who specialize in the children's rehab space understand the specialized needs that this population faces. School-based and social services such as tutoring and family counseling are often central to treatment. Child programs may also address the needs of youth experiencing substance abuse in the home, including a parent's or sibling's addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Nebraska is often the preferred method of treatment for substance use. In just a few sessions, clients can learn how to identify challenges and start to develop healthy coping methods to manage them.

The premise of dialectical behavior therapy is that many problems are due to a lack of skills to properly handle them. This therapy aims to give you the skills to manage your emotions and challenging situations so you can live a healthier, productive life.
