I have been taking my daughter here for a couple years now as she is bipolar and Dr.Martin is her med manager. He is a good Doctor and really listens to the parents views, situation and input. We definitely work together when it comes to my daughters mental health and what she needs. I also love Marie and love working with her as well! I recently had to courtesy dose here from Arizona and I will say I will never choose a different place when going back home to visit. They were awesome, worked hard to get me settled in and were super easy to work with. Also because I have take homes within my own home clinic my counselor was able to get me take homes there to make my trip that much easier. I would give 5 stars, however, while in the waiting rooms, especially in Dental Services, it's so cold waiting, that I have to bring in a blanket to stay warm. It's an ice box. I know it's summer, but it's ridiculous how cold it is in the waiting rooms. I bring my dad to Togus 2-3 times a week for his appointments.

Anyway, I think that the program is better now than it was when I attended a few years ago. My counselor back then was a really good guy and my current counselor now is even better. I really enjoy the staff I think they are very friendly and courteous. Sometimes the lines get a little long but as long as you do what your supposed to do you can get a week's worth of take homes. The only reason why someone would most likely have a bad time here is because they are not getting off drugs and not doing what they are suppose to do. So if your being treated poorly by staff it's probably cuz they know your a loser who won't stop failing urine test and skipping out on counseling and thus giving methadone clinics a bad name. So I would definitely recommend this place to people who truly want help cuz it's a friendly comfortable atmosphere. For those who won't take it seriously go some where else.Update- still at this clinic and still very happy with this place and I'm so happy they finally fixed the giant. Pot holes in the parking lot. I've seen a lot of staff here come and go but one thing stays the same the treatment here is top notch. I've been at this clinic since 2010 and would definitely recommend it to anyone struggling with addiction issues. Don't be nervous about going here to get help it's a great place with great friendly employees. The new security guard is pretty cool too.

Our only complaint was having 3 different hospitalists in 3 days. Having the same one would have been so much easier in regard to testing, prognosis, etc. Thank you!

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience with the surgical team at Maine General in Augusta this past Monday. The attention to care was unmatched and everyone was so professional and kind. A huge thank you to the entire team and my surgeon Dr. Jellinek! You're all awesome!

I honestly can say my treatment was definitely above and beyond! I am truly thankful and overly impressed with the 5 star treatment I received from EVERYONE! My surgery team (Although it was a challenging and complecated surgery Dr Bouchard and his team worked tirelessly to save my life!) The nursing staff.. IMPECCABLE! (very kind, caring, compassionate, and treated me and my husband as if we were the only ones there!) And even the cafeteria staff and food was AMAZING! Very patient on the phone, food recieved when promised, and it was really delicious! (Felt as though we were at a restaurant) My follow up appoints at Dr Bouchard's office were meet with the exact same service! We traveled 45 minutes and it was the BEST decision we could have made! Thank you so much!!

Strength comes from the spirit and not the head. This facility focuses on Christian values and spiritual growth. Those with strong faith can overcome many things. A very positive attitude exists in this facility because of very strong and insightful staff. If one wants to truly overcome addiction,this is an excellant place to start.

Praise God for using Teen challenge maine as a vessel in my life and so many others. I graduated from the maine campus a little over a year ago. One of the keys of it is to not treat it as a program but the very first day look at it as a new beginning to a new life changing way of life God is the only way to true peace and happiness. Honestly I think a lot of these reviews are quite unfair and just sound like a whole lot of whining. That being said I began my relationship with Acadia when I was 12 years old (I'm almost 40 so you do the math). Yes, I have had hiccups in my healthcare over the years but that should be expected as humans are not perfect and finding the right medications for everybodys body chemistry is hard so it may not happen all at once for you. It takes time. Have I always been treated with respect? Yes. Have I always had support? Also yes. Northern Light Acadia has a ton of resources and options available to anyone suffering, should they need them. And if you take advatage of them and put your heart into this, I think many opinions would be swayed.

There's been improvements since my last review. Though there's still needs growth on who they hire. Med management has improved. Therapy still needs to improve. Yes they are prescription happy, but I am more able to say no now. Some providers are surprised when you flex patient rights some throw tantrums. I really love how med management is going. The therapists can be really strange themselves. I haven't been inpatient since 2010 so I don't know that aspect. I give my providers the ol razzle dazzle about my complaints and they are open to fix it.

Well I have to say is this it is a great ace to go. My experience with this program is this they will support u through everything. I have gone there right now almost 6 years. I did a te and finished it and now I am at se and have been doing this job right for a little over 1year and still going everything is working process if I can do it anyone can. So yes this is a great place to go.
