Being a client at Paramount Recovery Centers, makes me feel dignified and like I have hope. The staff here are absolutely amazing and are willing to go to any length to help in any way they can. From the BHT's to the therapist even going all the way to the top. Everyone who works here has everyone's best interest at heart and it shows with every interaction you'll have. Rockland Recovery PHP/IOP is by far the best treatment program in Massachusetts. From start to finish, they truly go above and beyond. If you need detox or residential first, they handle everything — they check your insurance and place you in the most appropriate luxury detox and residential program before you even begin with them.
Once you step down to their PHP/IOP, the support gets even better. They offer both men’s-only and women’s-only sober living, plus transportation to and from treatment every day. If you prefer to drive, they even allow you to keep your car during the first week. The sober living homes are clean, quiet, and extremely accommodating — nothing like a typical halfway house. Living together, going to AA/NA meetings as a community, and even having an in-house Sunday speaker meeting from alumni truly strengthens recovery.
They operate two addiction co-occurring facilities and one mental health facility, and the staff at all locations are incredibly accepting and supportive. At Rockland Recovery Braintree (where I attended), the program focuses on AA-based coursework, not the same repetitive classes most rehabs offer. Every day brings new information, and over 75% of the staff are either in recovery themselves or have a loved one who is, which makes a huge difference. Every facilitator is licensed and genuinely knowledgeable.
If you’re considering PHP/IOP in Boston or Greater Boston, this is the place. They also have the largest alumni program in the state, with monthly events for both current and former clients. Their weekly AA speaker meeting in Milton is the best around (previously held in Quincy).
My only suggestion: I wish they offered a Zoom option for the Tuesday alumni meeting for people who can’t make it in person. If they streamed it online, attendance would definitely triple.
Other than that, Rockland Recovery is exceptional in every way. Highly recommend!

What a life changing experience! I have too many good things to say to list them all here. The buildings and the grounds are new and well maintained. The staff are all wonderful and go above and beyond for every client. I got to see first hand how hard everyone, frome the cleaning staff on up to the directors how hard they work for us and how much they care. The clinical staff are so knowledgeable and caring. I felt like everyone there was working on all my issues with such a drive and the highest level of competency. The recovery specialists do a food job of fostering a positive and safe group culture. I was especially impressed with Katie, who's commitment to the clients was demonstrated daily by her caring, upbeat, positive nature and willingness to go above and beyond for every client, all day, everyday. A big thank you to Katie and to Rose, Erin, Nikki and all the others who helped me change my life so drastically for the better in such a short 28 days. There are recovery centers out there doing good work and recovery centers doing great work. This place is doing phenomenal work. They help people make lasting changes in their lives. Thank you all!

This is a wonderful detox and treatment center! They will get you sober and give you the tools and resources that you’ll need to stay sober. Kind, caring, knowledgeable people (Case Managers, Recovery Specialists, nurses, food service staff, cleaning staff), nice, clean facilities, good food! Couldn’t ask for more. The folks at NERC truly care about you and your recovery. Special shout-out to Case Managers Sara, Tara, Brittany, Grace and Diana, as well as Recovery Specialists Pam, Gretchen, Danny, Nikki, Nikyrah, Esmeralda, Lauren, and all others whom I haven’t mentioned by name. Rose is an amazing family therapist. There are a lot of great, caring folks working here who truly want to help you! They also offer free, confidential family support through their Magnolia program. A truly amazing place staffed with kind, caring, wonderful, professional, fun, generous, thoughtful, and highly-skilled staff (I could go on) who are experts in ED recovery. My therapist at Laurel Hill is by far the best therapist I have ever had — I learned so much from her and am still in awe of how she challenged me and ED narratives. The clinical director treats clients like family and invests her time and energy into each and every one of us — she spent her Christmas holiday with clients baking cookies, enjoying holiday kareoke, and other festivities that she planned for us… it was a special holiday, filled with so much love and support. The nursing staff are SO cool and kind. The RCs are absolutely the best.. I don’t know how they do such a specialized and demanding job and do it SO well, all while getting to become so close with the clients.
I would 100% recommend this place to anyone struggling with an eating disorder. I had lost hope when I entered treatment, and now I look forward to the day when I can say I am fully recovered, because thanks to the LH team, I know that day will come.

I came to this hospital with my husband, who has a heart condition. His surgery hasn't been scheduled yet, but I don't know how to thank everyone I've met here. I came into this program as an older woman, scared and unsure of what to expect. This was my very first time in treatment, and after coming from an inpatient program where I honestly felt like I was treated more like an animal than a person, I didn’t know what I was walking into. From the first day, the staff and clients made me feel welcome and safe. I wasn’t seen as just a diagnosis here, I was seen as a human being. That meant everything to me. The groups were supportive, the staff truly cared, and I felt like my voice mattered. This program gave me hope and reminded me that healing is possible at any age. I attended this IOP for dual diagnosis, and I can’t say enough good things. All the staff were incredible, from the director to the techs. The groups and therapists were supportive and truly helpful. I was there during a time when they were short-staffed, and they never missed a beat always making sure clients’ needs were met. I have had the upmost great experience at HCRC. Dexter great guy first person I see every morning. Then I see Michelle she has been a truly great person, she always ask me if I am ok never mad always smiling. Then the head nurse has gone above and beyond to make me feel good the gentlemen nurse and all the other female nurses and consular. Thank you so very much for asking me everyday if I am ok I lost my mom last Sept. And my dad sept. 10th 2024. I was scared I would go over the deep end but all the staff looked out for always all my blessing to HCRC jamaic plain best clinic ever very caring staff. Thank you with all my heart.

The nurses are Top Knots and unusually helpful and resourceful. The counselors that exist are all fair and kind, but constant short staffing and management issues cause a great place to only get a good rating. This is a for-profit clinic, so the higher up the management chain one goes, the further away an addict in recovery is from recovery. Unfortunately this company owns most of the clinics in the area, so one does not have a choice. This is also not unusual. There is no handicapped accessible entrance. You can go in the back way, around the back of the hospital, but you still have to walk a very good distance to the front door, and once inside it's very small so a person with mobility issues is going to struggle. I don't suggest anyone with mobility issues goes to this Clinic. He Corrections Officers in the back of the hospital, they have an entrance for the prisoners there. There is constant clashing with the handicapped clients and the Corrections Officers because there's no real protocol for handicapped patients. But overall this is a good place. Small, and they don't put up with any of the usual nonsense that goes on.( There are very few drug deals if at all that will go on here!). The security guard is top-notch as well and is very fair but firm. If you are not looking for Recovery, I suggest you go somewhere else because you won't last long here. I've had some personal issues with the take-home protocol as well as the short staffing resulting in treatment plans not being effectively instituted, but again this is management and has nothing to do with the day to day staff.

Came off 170 mgs of methadone without any major problems. I slept, ate, and was overall content. Nursing and tech staff made the stay what it should be. I’m not really a taker but sometimes a smile from a random staff would get me out of the funk. They reduced my methadone 10mg a day from 170 until 20mg. I thought I would feel awful at 20 but the only problem I had was high blood pressure and sweating. All symptoms I could deal with. It’s detox! You’re not going to like everything about it!
Atlanta, Mark, Christine, Joe, JAMIE! No techs or nurses ever made me feel like I was a bother. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get off a substance. Especially methadone, in I feel 1000 times better without that crap in my body. I live in NJ, only one place would take my ins. The rest would only detox from methadone of a 30-40mg dose. Sunrise did not rush me and kept their word I wouldn’t receive surprise bills. They even didn’t bill me for things they should have. Shortly before I went there I was on a ventilator. I am Doing the work but this place helped get me across the line. If you complain here it’s your addiction talking. Has your addiction ever been correct with advice? Great place!

I came to this hospital with my husband, who has a heart condition. His surgery hasn't been scheduled yet, but I don't know how to thank everyone I've met here. They were wonderful, professional, and humble. Even Dr. Stanley is fantastic; he's so patient and takes the time to talk to his patients and explain their condition so they feel reassured and completely at ease. I thank God that we are in this hospital; it's like being in a five-star hotel. Even the food and the people who serve it are excellent. As for Emily, what a loss! She said goodbye to me like a loving sister, saying she had finished her work here. She is a real loss to the hospital; she left a wonderful impression on me. Her care for us was exceptional. I wish her continued success and may God protect her and her family. Thank you very much to everyone.

I've been at Merrick Street for nearly a year, and my experince has been truly amazing. Spectrum staff members are caring, well-educated and passionate about helping each client on an individual basis. The level of care far exceeds that of other programs. I started my 'journey' at Sisters of Providence in Holyoke, and (apart from my clinician -- who was amazing!), it felt like conveyor-belt-style care. Now, that was a 2-hour round-trip commute every morning, but Information about Spectrum (20 minutes away) was hidden from me (despite my inquiries) for months because it was a separate organization and they likely didn't want to lose me as a paycheck -- I mean patient.
Spectrum is the total opposite. It has changed my life. I wasted years fearing a program, and the stigma attached. But I realized-- since I was already dealing with the stigma of having fibromyalgia and chronic pain, it made no difference, and I needed to try -- for me. Since entering, I have met so many incredible people, shared and heard many incredible stories, and in a way, I am proud to be part of something so positive.

I ended up here because of my PCP. Normally I just got to the Brigham ,but my mom can't handle all the traffic. The ER wait was short. I was admitted but it took about 6-8 hours because of all the tests. The day Dr was amazing,nurse were exceptional, especially Adam!. Transportation was above Par standards. Thank you JAREL! He made me feel safe and secure. I'm still here and that's ok. Only complaint,the food. Not the best. Blah!!

The care @ this hospital has always been excellent in all the years I've been going to the West Roxbury VA. In my last visit my wife was with me and she was having trouble with her legs I just want to thank the 2 separate nurses that noticed my wife's struggles within 5 and asked her if she needed help, before I found a wheel chair for her...thank you. To the fool who rated this VA hospital 2 stars based off his/ her experience in the cafeteria..go to a restaurant if you want good food. Because today you'll be minus $50 or more and still probably won't be happy with the food...get real, this is a hospital!
