The nurses and services here are very professional yet down to earth and joyful. These services include nurses, your own doctor, and a counselor of your own choosing if they are not full and available. One is no better than the other, just better suited for the individual. They find ways to work with you and help you no matter your situation. And most of all they genuinely care! They also have the tools to help you in your situation, including a big which is transportation and filling out paperwork, such as insurance, DHS, and so on. Whatever it takes to give you a new lease on life!! It's not impossible anymore, give yourself and your loved ones a chance with people you can trust that really care for your happiness and believe in what they are doing!

1 year ago today I made the 5 hour one way drive in a blizzard to drop my love off. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. To drop him off in a parking lot and turn around and leave without him, broke my heart. But here we are 1 year later stronger than ever celebrating his sobriety thanks to the kindness and compassion from the staff at Bear River. They made everything as smooth as possible and we are forever grateful for the role they played in Joshua's recovery. I would recommend them to anyone needing to make this very hard life change.

This play was a joke. Elevator doesn't work. People 45-60 walking up 6 flights of stairs. Staff are rehabilitated but kissers. Program isn't about quitting drugs or alcohol. Program makes you hold people accountable for what their doing. I'm trying to watch what I'm doing. Go figure! I had to use the bathroom I need 4 people to go! No one had to go but me. So I get wrote up for going to the bathroom alone. Okay I'm 2 years old now. Bed bugs and they didn't exterminate the men's 5th floor.

I had two docs tell me different things an majority of the staff was in touch or kept in contact with one of the two doctors.when the doc flip thru their 1 week rotation they cant keep up with each others paperwork on patients. leading to situations like mine to where it feels like you get "SPUN".
loved how if it wasn't for certain staff realizing that others were falling behind an said something behind the "billboard", I never would have had that same day after being quoted by the first doc come around. the second doctor needed to get in touch with the rest of the staff rather then follow the 9-5 description.Fell in love with room service an how clean they kept the patient rooms.one thing I couldn't understand is how in the art room for their activities they had everything you could think of other then a pencil. the group sessions were good an productive for the most part. The nurses did a pretty decent job keeping their heads up within the drama from patients, kudos to them for that I've talked to.

I stayed at the Sunrise center years ago, I think 2010. It was helpful, it was what could be taught about addiction. I am happy i went, because it took me out of my element . Looking back there's really no antidot to addiction. What keeps me sober today is knowing i could be poor and helpless if i want. Or i could have everything i want out of life.
It was a matter of taking the high road.

Update: it’s 3/2025 after my daughters stay in Forest View, as I wrote in earlier reviews, she was released with worse paranoia and stopped speaking to me. Soon she cut contact with me and my four young grandchildren who were my life and i theirs.
It has now been over a year with no contact or communication with my daughter or my four grandkids. Thank you Forest View hospital for the great job (being sarcastic) with my daughter. From what i experienced and heard directly from her at the one visitation you allowed at the end, she completely lied to you then you let her go way too early instead of actually diagnosing her and helping her.
First Review. My 34 yr old daughter was a patient there. They never return or answer phone calls, (yes I’m on the HIPPA forms) drugged her with Addavan to shut her up but never gave her drugs to help long term, released her without helping her at all and did not set up a plan for after she was released. She’s worse now than before she went in. Staff was rude, short with you and no compassion.
UPDATE: i sent an email hoping to talk to someone in charge. No response by email, phone call or text as of yet. I will continue with updates.
UPDATE: It’s Thursday 2/15/24 7:21pm and after trying to get again i never received a response back from
Forest View Hospital. My daughter will not speak to me yet due the paranoia she STILL has after staying there then no communication to me from Forest View after many tries. This is what is wrong with our mental health system. If they are a bother and annoy you then release them back into society. Sad 😞

I recently went to ARD and the reviews you read are legit. I talked to Laura multiple times before I went and I was really nervous. She made me feel better about going and is super cool. Without her they may not have as many patients. A driver picked me up and took me back to the airport so they make everything pretty easy. I was on oxys then suboxone for 15 years after a car accident and was tired of how it made me angry at times and ruled my life and schedule. It helped contribute to ruining my relationship with my daughters mom and I just wanted off of it now. She was not very supportive either. It is a fast process for the worst of the withdrawals but you will need to follow their program when you get home. Frieda is great and adjusted my meds on the days I called. I've been home a month and I still have low energy and lethargy but I'm working through that with exercise. Laura keeps in contact with me and she truly cares about people. Pat is awesome and we had some great chats. I recommend going here if you are struggling. It wont be easy but if i can do it, you can too. Now I can enjoy my time with my kids and granddaughter. Stay strong and God Bless. Thanks ARD and Laura, you are a rockstar!!

First, I want to say that this review isn’t based on my personal experience, but a friends who isn’t comfortable sharing their name on this platform.
After months of research, he took a leap of faith and chose this center over a similar center in Florida that was double the price. Because he doesn’t have insurance, he had to come out of pocket so this obviously was the more practical option price wise, but also care wise. If you’re paying 5k+ for treatment out of pocket at a facility, you’re doing so because you want to know you’re in good hands and have a staff of people who will be with you through the process. Releasing someone after 24 hours to a hotel room with active monitoring just doesn’t seem right when you’re paying 20k+ for a treatment (the other facility doesn’t accept insurance either). Of course, rehabs want to make money- a business is a business. But that doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t be treated with respect and quality care. The staff here, on the other hand, supported him the entire time and made sure he got the care he needed. He is 6 months sober now!
The treatment isn’t by any means “easy” but Rome wasn’t built in a day. No treatment is going to be easy to break the shackles of addiction, you have to want your sobriety and to be free. If you don’t want it, no treatment will save you from going back and using. But if you want it, then this place is a no brainer. You will feel some exhaustion, maybe even a lack of motivation but the important thing is to get up and move around. All of that will balance itself out. Take vitamins before and after your procedure, and thank God for another day! I am currently saving up to come here for my own treatment from an Oxy addiction, and will update my review from my personal experience once I have.
