After spending four months at the Mayo hospital in Rochester I was taken to Waseca Medical Center to help me regain some mobility after having my leg amputated and to try to get replacement in my hometown of Bismarck, ND. My leg was amputated as of results of a fast growing cancer and the infections. At the Waseca hospital I was treated and given the best of care that I could have been able to get anywhere. Also the food was very delicious at this hospital and was always hot when it was served compared to Mayo hospital in Rochester. If I have to do time at a hospital again I would like to be in Waseca.

I had an exceptional experience last night at this establishment. After being involved in a demolition derby accident, the staff went above and beyond to take care of me. Their exceptional care and attention to detail made a difficult situation much more manageable.Every member of the staff was not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, providing me with the support and information I needed during my visit. It was evident that they genuinely care about their patients' well-being and strive to ensure the best possible experience for everyone who walks through their doors.I am truly grateful for the outstanding care I received and the compassion shown by the staff. This establishment sets a high standard for customer service and patient care. Highly recommended for their exceptional service and dedication to their patients' well-being.

Corey Thompson the PA / 'doctor' at the facility is dismissive, crass, stubborn, doesn't take your opinion and experience into account a lot of times, and was overall not pleasant to deal with. Having him in charge of my medications was unfortunate and in one instance extremely difficult to withstand as I was struggling with precipitated withdrawal due to naltrexone being given to me far too soon after halting suboxone treatment. Adam was awesome, some staff are good while others clearly don't care about patients. Phone and computer use policies were overly restrictive and made doing my schoolwork difficult.

In 2022, I was placed on an involuntary 72 hour hold by another hospital. It was extremely unwarranted and I was threatened with physical violence and had my human rights violated. That hospital sent me to the inpatient facility at Owatonna. Based on the experience at Buffalo, I was extremely standoffish. I was hysterical. I told them I would not speak with them, I would not let them touch me, I wanted to call my family because buffalo would not let me contact my family and they actually trespassed my entire family from their hospital for literally no reason after my family convinced me to just stay and do what they asked. The nurse was taken aback and asked what happened and I explained and she basically said oh my god, I m so sorry. We won t do that here. We re going to help you. And something in her voice made me believe her. I think it took a day and a half maybe to talk to the psychiatrist, but he s the reason I m writing this review. He released me before the 72 hour hold was up and said he didn t believe I needed to be there. He joked with me. I even made jokes that other psychs might ve held me longer for making and when I ended with a whoops, shouldn t have let that one slip he laughed with me and said no, it shows me you have a healthy coping mechanism. He really just talked to me like a human being and that s not something I ve dealt with in my 15 years of experience being treated for mental health conditions. He also went out of his way to call my primary care doctor and tell her he thought she was doing a great job with the medication aspect of my treatment, and when I saw her again she was really surprised he did that and said it was really nice. I don t remember his name, but I wanted to write this review just to give him a little recognition because he deserves it. I ve met with probably 10-12 psychiatrists in my life and he was by far the kindest, smartest, most human psychiatrist I ve met.

Like any VA facility, this one has many concerns to resolve to provide quality care to veterans. They seem to do their best with less. Personnel and provider shortages are becoming a problem. Some appointments can take several months to be seen. Community care needs to improve in providing referrals for quality care outside the VA and not just those who are the lowest bidders. VA recently denied over $10k in payments to my dental surgeon because they couldn t get the bill submitted within their 6 month window because the clerks had repeated bouts of COVID. I can no longer maintain continuity of care because of VAs lack of consideration. The dental provider was highly skilled and experienced. Now he refuses any further authorizations from any VA. Today s visit went very well at the VA for a minor procedure. All staff and providers were delightfully cheerful. That is certainly an improvement. God bless!

Minnesota is ranked 20th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,630.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Minnesota vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Minnesota. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Minnesota that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here’s the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment in Minnesota.
