Of all the treatment I've been to in the last 15 years, Lakeshore has been the best in many ways, but there is always a few bad apples in a bunch. Let me explain; THE BEST: Emily Schwab and the other Certified Peer Recovery Specialists dive in, driven by empathy and altruism. Getting everything a person needs in early recovery taken care of for you and lining up everything for our near future. The Good: The counselors care and are very attentive to our needs and help build a treatment plan worthy of a valiant attempt from our end. The Bad: Chad Walker. The treatment director. He is arrogant and selfish. He knows best, just ask him and he will tell you. He is very brash to people in vulnerable states and seems to have taken it upon himself to make his own rules and designs outside the scope of what EOSIS is trying to do for recovery. Get a new director and I would recommend this place to anyone. Also I think CPRS workers, especially ones this dedicated, should be independent contractors. Or, they should get paid more than "I think" they do because of the amount of actual work they do for us!!!

Hazelden taught me how to live a healthy life again and gave me my life back. They addressed the poor coping skills that landed me there and gave me new ones. I continue to have nothing but the best of experiences with the staff at the St Paul location. I am grateful to so many people, but I do want to mention the incredible nursing department. Diamond and Ian, I look forward to every time I see you guys! Consider yourself very lucky if you get Dr. Exo - she's amazing! Laurie was a mentor to me at center City, and a big part of my decision to stick with the program. Cheers to 1 year and 1 month of sobriety, and a whole new life! Update: recently celebrated two years sober. I have muscles now and just a much much cleaner life style. It's surreal and my only regret is not going to Betty Ford sooner than when I did!

The people here are genuine and so welcoming and welcome newcomers with open arms the intake process is super tedious and long and takes 3 to 4 hours but it’s so so so worth it!!!!! no regrets choosing to come here I promise you will feel the same I can’t say one bad thing about this place at all. Gwen and Scott are the best. I tried other treatments, but this one is definitely the best. All the other ones I tried, were for profit, and it truly showed, they were more interested in moving you to a higher level of care than actually helping you. My advice, always choose a non profit treatment facility, and Canvas is the one I chose and I highly recommend it.

While I can't speak for the in-person services provided, we had a wonderful experience via phone communication. We were trying to help a family member navigate treatment options. We called on a Saturday to discuss what detox services might look like. Tony was the staff member who took our call. He was incredibly informative, kind and non-judgmental. He explained the process for being admitted, what to expect over the days of treatment, and also what we could expect from our family member specific to meth withdrawal. We were fortunate that we were able to get our family member directly into an intensive residential treatment facility, but the information he provided was so helpful in the interim! It took me a couple of months to get around to writing this review, but huge shout out to Tony!

I'm back, less than two weeks until I graduate the program. How has it been? Incredible. The best thing that's ever happened to me. I will NEVER forget the people I met here....the staff all the way down to each of my peers. Ignore ANY bad reviews you may see, Maghakian Place will change your life.

I have fought my mental health since I was a teen. (51 now) I was in United Hospital for a few weeks after being off my meds and having some "issues". After the hospital I came here for 90 days of intensive treatment. It has literally changed my life and outlook ON life more than I could've ever imagined. The staff and the other residents have been amazing. I got my meds all lined up and have been taking them religiously. The groups and the actual treatment has helped me enormously to the point that friends I had lost because of WHO I had become with my bipolar flaring up have come back and are so supportive. I will never forget what Maghakian Place has done for me and there's still two months to go. If you need help, trust me....it's out there. Don't be afraid to WIN the battle you've been fighting!!!!! i had an emergency pacemaker at saint josephs because of rolling blackouts. lower heart beats at 30 bpm. ambulance ride from saint johns in maplewood. same day pacemaker placement. went home the next day. no health insurance as i had been terminated by a nearby hospital because i could not do my work fast enough after doing the same work for 35 years which is why i chose to go to health east. there charity paid the entire $30,000 medical bill. staff were awesome and food for the day was acceptable.

4.5⭐ The E.R had me in fast, polite, Kinda disappointed in how doc didn't want to consider my main C.C. on why I was there so didn't look further. But, all and all St. John's hospital and staff are very comforting

I have seen April Lund here for many years and I highly recommend her! She takes the time to listen to you and highly involves you in your treatment plan. She always knows my medical history and takes the time to really listen. The front desk staff and nurses are fantastic too! My only complaint is that this clinic can be tricky to find and wish there were more clear instructions for in person visits. I would recommend going a few minutes early to find parking and get to the office.

During her time in the ICU, especially in her final days, she was treated with such dignity, gentleness, and care. Sarah, the social worker, and Julie, the Nurse Practitioner, were truly extraordinary. They didn’t just do their jobs—they showed up for us as human beings. The people of this place really care about the patients and do everything in their power to meet their needs, they are the best I have seen in a center of this kind. I recommend this program for people with mental illnesses and problems with addiction, I assure you that you will have a great experience.

The staff here actually care about you and go out of their way to accommodate your needs. You have your own room with a really comfy bed. Coed 16 beds. Harm reduction. The food is ok...needs better choices, but it's good. I'd highly recommend C.F. for people with mental illness and addiction issues, it's a good experience. I think you'll be happy here. Nice neighborhood close to three lakes, walking. The staff is the best I've seen in places such as this.
