I enjoyed every single program about this place while I went there. I loved all my teachers and wished I could stay there.. But I did have a friend that went there who had his knees slammed backwards for a restraint and broken by a teacher there. There was nothing that could be done because of the legal paperwork that parents sign. 🤔 I enjoyed my time there tho. Just feel bad for other kids who weren't so lucky.

I'm now 40 and came to this place back in 1999. I hated being there but to be fair didn't have much to complain about. Bt time is been there 6ish months I didn't want to leave. I learn so much being there that I'm still grateful to this day. I earned freedom to walk the grounds unsupervised with permission as well as helping give tours to potential clients. I rode horses often did cattle branding of calves of course and did artificial insemination. I did small engines and wood working along with horticulture which were all a blast. There was a lot that happened in the dorms with the girls but what do you expect when you have so many girls with sick am array of issues. A huge part of getting something from these programs is if you want to. If your ready to get better. The staff members were all fabulous I can't think of anyone who I didn't like. I always felt genuine concern from them. I was even given the privilege to go off campus 1x a week to do gymnastics. I still to this day have small decorated box given to me as a gift upon leaving from a staff member named Marilyn. When you opened it it has a tiny box with a small now that says it was filled with her love. I'm not sure what has happened but, this place turned my life around and who know where it be today without it. So Thank you so so so much. Sorry for the delayed post lol.

YBGR was lowkey really nice, I loved it there. The food isn’t top tier but it’s a pretty good treatment place in my opinion. Sometimes there’s some stupid and scary stuff that will happen like fights, but it is to be expected in treatment. But I liked it and I felt it was useful in the long run. I struggled with some staff but I really loved my staff in my lodge. Also, you will get consequences/accountability's for not following the rules, but I think it’s a good thing set in place to hold people accountable. (I’ve gotten a bit of a fair share of consequences so it’s from experience). The place really helped my confidence and mental health without making me a med zombie. They have a Chemical Dependency program and AA to try to help kids who struggle with substance abuse issues and they have very kind counselors with CD. Cheryl was my CD counselor and I felt like she listened to me. Also thankyou to my PM Emily and my favorite day staff Marcos and overnight Zach! They did a lot for me then they might’ve realized. Honest, treatment only works if your kid wants to work it. You can fight it and be miserable, or you can try to participate. And if you do, you’ll likely get somewhere. Please don’t blame the staff and foundation for the outcome, treatment can only work if you have the desire to get better. I was in Shumaker lodge!! 24-25

This place saved my life. I’m a successful person within the community thanks to them. Great goal, lots of studies back the methods they use. Kids will be kids, some won’t listen. But the ones who do become successful. Remember, it’s a TREATMENT facility. It’s not for fun. It’s difficult, but so is learning the hard way. It does have some flaws though. Staff accountability lacks slightly. Punishment system was a bit overwhelming. They might have fixed these though. Stress is different than safety. It’s not impossible. Nor is it hard if the kids apply themselves

I use to go here. The staff? IS AMAZING 🤍 I loved their work and how they helped me. They are a great place to send your child. I enjoyed it here. Yeah you have to follow rules and such. I KNOW a lot of KIDS don’t like to do that and that’s why they tell lies to their parents about this place but MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE? It was a great place.

(REFER TO REVIEW From CRYSTAL SHINE) Unequal Treatment of Religious Beliefs. An additional issue that came to light was the Crisis Center's apparent bias towards certain religious beliefs. While the facility allowed Christian crosses to be displayed openly, it reportedly refused to accommodate a pagan high priestess's request to wear her Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) necklace From The director herself Marcia, denying her the right to freely express her religious identity. This differential treatment of religious practices is not only a violation of the principle of equal rights, but it also signals a concerning lack of cultural sensitivity and understanding within the center's leadership. All individuals, regardless of their spiritual beliefs, should be afforded the same level of respect and the opportunity to practice their faith without discrimination.Unprofessional Conduct and Concerning Rumors.   Beyond the specific incidents outlined above, the Crisis Center was also criticized for a general lack of professionalism among its staff. Clients reported encountering rude and dismissive behavior, as well as a pervasive attitude of indifference towards the needs and concerns of those seeking assistance. Furthermore, the facility had been the subject of concerning rumors within the Billings community long before my own experience there. Individuals I spoke with warned me about the mistreatment of clients, the staff's assumption that all service users were "drug addicts," and the overall poor reputation of the Crisis Center. These pre-existing concerns only served to further undermine the public's trust in the center's ability to provide adequate and compassionate care.Bright Spots and Recommendations It is important to note that not all aspects of my experience at the Crisis Center were negative. The security personnel, for example, were reported to be understanding and accommodating towards clients' needs, particularly those dealing with PTSD and domestic violence. Additionally, the compassion and understanding shown by a particular morning shift counselor on July 2nd, as well as the empathy displayed by an evening shift nurse from the South, provided some measure of hope that there are individuals within the organization who are committed to upholding the center's stated mission. And as a client I would highly recommend the specified people to further future jobs for understanding the oath that they took. However, these bright spots do not excuse the systemic issues and concerning patterns of behavior that I have outlined in this review. It is clear that the Crisis Center in Billings, Montana is in dire need of a comprehensive overhaul, both in terms of its staff training and the overall organizational culture

Very rude and disrespectful staff when you show up in a crisis they turn you away immediately with judgement. I have never felt so disrespected and treated so harshly. The security guard which is very overweight Chimes in on your conversation and shares her opinions. The nursing staff there is completed mediocre has no passion for what they do. I will never ever ever ever refer anyone to this horrible organization. If you want to be disrespected go there!

We went to CHI Williston on March 4 for a second opinion, as my son was not getting any better. His fever had returned, and he still had a dry cough. Backstory: We first went to a clinic in Minot on February 28 to have him checked. They tested him for strep, COVID, flu, and possibly other infections , but all the results came back negative. So, we went back home to New Town. A few days later, his fever returned, so I decided to take him to his pediatrician, Dr. Mulu, at CHI. Nurse Anabel helped us find an available schedule so we could get my son checked as soon as possible. Dr. Mulu made sure to gather all the necessary information about my son’s symptoms. As expected—and something I really appreciate—they started with the basics: checking his back and chest with a stethoscope, examining his ears and nose for any possible infections. I also asked Dr. Mulu if he could request a chest X-ray to rule out pneumonia. I remembered a similar situation a few years ago where a doctor couldn’t hear anything unusual from his lungs, but the X-ray revealed pneumonia. I’ll never forget what Dr. Mulu told me: "We doctors also listen to parents” and something like they not just go by the book. As it turned out, my son did have pneumonia. Dr. Mulu handled the situation with great care, making sure my son received the appropriate dosage of antibiotics to begin treatment rightaway. They explained everything to us through call and gave proper instructions. Nurse Anabel was also wonderful, helping us throughout the process—from scheduling to personally accompanying us to the laboratory. They are all friendly and treat you with most respect and care. And lastly, I’d like to share my 5-year old son’s own words about what he went through/experience at both clinics “ Okay Mom, We will go to tito(uncle) doctor in Williston because they are good there.. not in the hospital-the clinic in Minot. They are not good. They are not careful. When they checked my nose , they are not good. But in williston.. they are careful, they are friends “ Even the kid can tell! Thank you to CHI pediatric department. You are all good!

Dr Bakko I was referred to for administering multiple tests. As part of this he interviewed me and I am very poor at that. He helped keep me focused and many times had to patiently go back to probe deeper to clarify and really understand what I was saying. Because of my emotions, it’s like a freight train driving through his office. He’s gifted. The tests were administered in a very private, proffessional, clean, and quiet area. He is very organized and proffessional. He reviewed my answers and again made it very comfortable and open to discuss why I answered the way I did. He asked many different questions to understand my concerns. He was very patient and caring to make sure he understood my answers. A real medical proffessional!!!!
