Hope was able to do what we as a family could not accomplish here at home, even though we really tried ! The change in her is absolutely amazing 🙌 . I visited her twice and it was a great experience. I joined in for dinners which included a nice balance of carbs, proteins, salads. Their Airbnb for families is beautiful. Don’t let the “no licensed counselors “ reviews scare you because the counselors that are there are amazing women who want to serve and help these women. The only thing I would change is to give the girls an hour more of sleep .

I had an excellent experience with the service at the VA in Fort Harrison, Helena, Montana. The nurse who helped me was absolutely amazing—kind, patient, and incredibly helpful. She took the time to explain everything to me and made the entire experience so much easier.
I also want to highlight the kindness of the staff throughout the building. When I couldn’t find where I was supposed to go, a lovely woman in the hallway actually walked me all the way to my destination. Even some of the maintenance staff went out of their way to help me find my way out of the building.
It’s not every day that you experience that level of genuine kindness and helpfulness. I especially want to recognize the nurse for making such a positive impression.
Excellent service all around. Highly recommend! ❤️

Went here 2 times one for acute and residential in 2021. Well I would say it helped me in some ways. I would also say it really just depends. My experience with the staff was amazing and I felt like the ones I had on my unit truly cared about us kids. All the staff I have met have been truly supportive and kind. My only problem is that when I was there they would dose me up on all these different kinds of medications and when I would advocate for myself and tell the psychologist I didn’t want to be on all these high dosed medications because they make me sick, they would always ignore me or just dose me up more. I did have an incident where an other kid on the unit was being weird and inappropriate towards me. I told the nurses repeatedly and they never even did anything to correct this behavior or even make him stay away from me. Other than those 2 things my experience was overall good. Definitely learned what I needed to and so much more from my experiences here!!

Unfortunately, if you are going here it's not by choice....I am her to speak on the aftermath of this program. I have a life today that has far exceeded my goals in early recovery. This program and some very amazing people within it, helped me grow and change in ways I am so grateful for. This was the wake up call I very desperately needed. When I was sentenced to elkhorn people told me you will not be the same person after that program "it changes you" (they didn't mean that in a good way) little did I know they were right!! I am a different person then when I went into this program. I have an amazing life; I have my kids back, I am buying a home, I have a college degree, a career, 5 years sober, and a life I've built that I am not willing to lose!! At Elkhorn I made the decision to take charge of my life, I decided to stop surviving and start living!! If you are reading this you probably have a family member here or maybe a stay here is possibly in the cards for you. If you lean into this program and take everything you can out of it, look at it as an opportunity instead of a consequence, you too can have the life you dream about (only far better).

The best thing that could have ever happen to me was being sent to elkhorn. I learned to much from them. Because I went in with an open mind and wanting to change and be sober and healthy …it worked . I have had my struggles since I have been out but there was not one time that I ever gave thought to go using . Now that I have been out I see why things were done the way they are done at ETC. and with anything in life if you want something bad enough you can have it . If you want to be sober you will take the tools with you and use them . My life is so amazing now and yes it all cause I went to ETC with an open mind and a mindset of wanting to change and live a better life then I ever thought I could . Thank you etc I am so thankful of all of you !

It has the best ER staff I've dealt with in years, both as a patient and as a mother. My 19yo, who was the patient tonight, agrees. They were compassionate, did a full workup, and explained things thoroughly. The nurse also put an IV in more competently than the last few places either of us has been. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Review of Dana Lynn Moyer’s Review
Dana arrived with possible heart-attack symptoms and was seen within ten minutes, which is actually the ER functioning exactly as intended. Chest pain entered the building and triage said, “Yes, this one moves to the front.”
The blood draw was less elegant. After several unsuccessful attempts, Dana endured additional needle sticks, because apparently her veins had also decided to file a complaint and leave early.
Then the doctor recommended a CT scan with contrast to look for a possible blood clot in her lungs. Dana initially declined because of her low pain tolerance, but eventually agreed after her husband reminded her that “possible pulmonary embolism” slightly outranks “I do not enjoy needles” on the emergency priority list.
Unfortunately, the IV attempt hurt, the vein blew, and Dana refused another stick. Completely understandable—but it also meant the team could not complete one of the tests intended to investigate the dangerous condition they were concerned about.
She left after four hours “without a diagnosis,” which sounds alarming until you remember that the ER’s main job is to evaluate immediate threats, stabilize the patient, and determine whether hospitalization is necessary. It is not a walk-in episode of *House* where every symptom receives a rare, definitive diagnosis before the closing credits.
The review is detailed and honest about refusing further testing, which gives it credibility. The only odd part is criticizing the lack of diagnosis after declining the procedure that might have helped provide one.
**Final rating: 4/5—valid complaints about difficult IV access and painful treatment, but a useful reminder that emergency medicine cannot finish the puzzle after the patient takes away several pieces.**

I am not sure why the ratings are so low, but I went 10/5/25 to the er, in severe pain, and I had the best treatment. They listened, and were very thorough. Im from Texas and I've never had an ER be so thorough with finding out what is wrong. Exceptional care!!

All but two of the TT’s were amazing, and seemed very invested in patient recoveries, My counselor was both empathetic and challenging. And created a safe space for me to be honest with myself and her. I have been to this treatment center three times now. Every time I have gotten a lot out of it, but this last time changed my life. Sometimes I think people confuse treatment with a vacation and a spa. But if you are willing to try and do the work necessary, they Will go so far for you. Wonderful Experience at the Great Falls VA!
I recently visited the VA in Great Falls for blood work and to meet my new primary care nurse, and I have to say I was really impressed with the experience.
Everyone I encountered was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The blood work was quick and easy, and my appointment with my new primary care nurse was such a positive experience. She took the time to listen, answer my questions, and make me feel comfortable and genuinely cared for.
Starting with a new healthcare team can sometimes feel a little overwhelming, but the staff made the whole process feel easy and welcoming. I really appreciate the people who take the time to make veterans feel respected and taken care of.
Thank you to the Great Falls VA staff for making my first experience with my new primary care team such a great one! ❤️🇺🇸

Montana is ranked 47th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $62,530.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Montana vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Montana. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Montana that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here’s the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment in Montana.
Blue Cross Blue Shield is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Montana, with 26 treatment centers in the state accepting their insurance. Cigna is the 2nd most popular with 25 treatment centers accepting it followed by UnitedHealth Group in 3rd accepted by 23 drug rehabs.
