I have been receiving medical treatment at Lyons and East Orange for over 12 years.. and have interacted with many medical professionals and staff.. in any large hospital setting, you will encounter dedicated people and sometimes, some that are just not smart enough to gargle.
I recently had shoulder surgery and I rate it 5 stars 110%. Drs, nurses, staff were outstanding and the scheduling was perfect.
God Bless all those who take care of us veterans at both hospitals.

I called up there about my dad and I was transferred to a Nursing supervisor by the name of Gwen Martin. Ms. Martin was so professional and she answered all my questions. She took it upon herself to go checkup on my dad. She reassured me that my dad would be taken care of and she even called me back to make sure that all my concerns were addressed.

I was real nervous to come here at first, but the staff made it real comfortable for me real fast! I tried to do a "Walk in" due to extreme flu like symptoms. I was told to basically, go to another va or the local urgent care center. Worthless.. I can’t believe I actually have to give it one star. I am a combat vet and all I had was a infection and they told me they are filled today and there were going to be closed due to a snow storm tomorrow that has not even happen yet and we did not get a warning from the weather service. We are veterans we fought and what do we get places like this that say “we care” but go somewhere else. All I wanted was antibiotics...

I had a really great experience at High Focus and would recommend it to anyone who thinks they may need a higher level of car. The clinicians were amazing and each clinician brought their own unique style to each group. The atmosphere was of healing and focused on creating a safe and honest space for people to express themselves and learn more about themselves and different skills. I also enjoyed the set up of the program as I met with the prescriber and my clinician weekly. There was always honesty and transparency in my care. I felt safe and like I could trust my team while navigating a challenging time in my life. I definitely think you get what you put into the experience. I think it can be easy to get a lot out of it when learning from clinicians like Taylor, Kelly, and Ashley. They brought humor and lightness into an otherwise dark and serious time. Their incompetence put my daughter in the ICU after birth. I watched a nurse perform an unbelievably reckless maneuver with a newborn—something even a newly certified, 17-year-old EMT-B would’ve known better than to do.
Thank God my daughter turned out alright without complications. But guess who ended up with additional bills from ICU ward?! The system needs an overhaul for sure.

I love this hospital however the last two times I had to go to the ER I had to wait 12 plus hours for a doctor because there's no separate clinic now for emergency room. This is totally ridiculous that if you have an emergency you go to the ER and it takes 12 hours for an ER doctor. I was born in this hospital I've had several surgeries in this hospital and the staff is wonderful however you got to get your act together with the ER room 12 plus Hours come on

I wanted to recognize the amazing staff at the Rippel Breast Center within MMC. Renee, Jenn, and and Dr Friedman were so kind and informative. Everyone worked to keep me calm and comfortable while I had a procedure done for the first time. My appointment even ended way earlier than i anticipated. This clinic isn't perfect by any means, but it is better than any other one I've ever been on. They give you the "cherry" syrup methadone instead of the b.s. water kind, they don't force you to do i.o.p. or groups or anything like that. And the line is usually not too bad all things considered. I'd recommend it to anyone that wants the help. Also, they offer a lot of help with other aspects of your life including employment and mental health services, as well as helping you with getting your foodstamps or medicaid turned on if you need that. Haven't met any staff member there that hasn't gone above and beyond for me to help with every issue that has come up.
UPDATE: so I've been on and off this program like 4 or 5 times. On it now. And of course since the last time I was there which was about 2 years ago there is only one or two of the same staff there. Big turnover rate. But seems like alot of less people on the program or maybe more people getting take home bottles because there is never a line when I go. And they don't allow anyone to "hangout" for like 4 blocks in any direction to prevent the b.s. that goes on outside every clinic in America. I gotta say it's still the best spot I've been to and I've been on at least 5 different ones in ny and nj

I've been to several methadone clinics and Greenwich House is by far the best. Staff is very friendly, accommodating, and professional. If you're looking for a methadone clinic go here, dont waste your time anywhere else. I was medicated on the first day. They dont force you to go to groups. The counselors are very helpful and they have on site medical and mental health services.
Update!
Today, 7/17/23, was my last day at Greenwich House. A few months ago I had been on 210 mg of methadone for about 4 years and decided it was time to get off. So I began to taper down relatively fast dropping 10 mg per week. When I got to 20 mg I slowed down to 5 mg decreases per week. Anyway, when I got down to 5 mg I decided to go down to 2 mg and that was today. I got my weeks worth of 2 mg bottles and when they're gone I'll be totally off methadone. I did this with no withdrawal symptoms or cravings. And I have not touched dope since I began the program on 4/27/19. I'm so proud of myself and this is a total success story. There is such a stigma about methadone. People say it's like "liquid handcuffs" or that it controls your life and it's impossible to get off and it's just replacing one drug with another, but I'm proof that none of that is true. Methadone saved my life and when I felt I didn't need it anymore I got off, simple as that. I would like to thank my counselor Sophia and Marlene from the medical department for both always being so supportive and accommodating. They genuinely care about all of their patients and deserve mentioning although all the staff is very caring, helpful and professional. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are struggling with addiction. They WILL help you.

Our tween recently completed the PHP program at High Focus Centers in Parsippany, and we felt compelled to share what truly sets this program apart. While the clinical care was strong for our son, the hidden gem of this program is the weekly Family Group counseling sessions for parents!
Facilitated by John, who cares deeply about the well-being of the parents as much as the teens, these virtual sessions have been an invaluable lifeline. They create a safe, supportive space where families can share, listen, and learn from each other. I have received wonderful therapeutical from my anxiety and stress. I first started coming here probably a year and a half ago and I saw a young lady name Pam, she was lovely, but went to another office, during that time I was starting to see of Andrea, who was a pivotal, life-changing therapist for me, I have been always in this self development, try to treat stress on my own type of person however, Andrea and I have come up with many coping skills and she’s told me through the most critical and most stressful times of My adult life. I give her so much credit. Not only is she empathetic and compassionate. She makes me feel like I’m not less than for feeling certain ways that I feel. I feel like that she’s help me to reframe certain thoughts that I’ve had that have cut me in a stressful crisis cycle . The front desk staff is fantastic, most importantly, this wonderful, lovely, professional, kind and beyond caring to every patient that she comes in contact with is Erin . She is irreplaceable, absolutely fantastic, and dealing with many situation at once, her and I actually took quite a bit because I have to fit my therapy into my schedule and she is accessible , and wonderfully accommodating. Her compassion for the patients that are there and what they’re going through is bar none!!! I am absolutely blessed, and I am becoming a better version of myself and have spread the word to dear friends and family to attend, as well . To be able to say that I am actually getting help from this wonderful community of trained professionals, who know exactly how to deal with people with all different needs of all different levels is really life-changing for me. I also attended a group that was spectacular, it made me feel less alone, and was supportive and not awkward and exactly what I needed.

I worked @Intergrity House (Bate Program) for 10 years and moved on to work in different programs throughout the years, I have to say this was one of the best places I worked in, they are there for their clients, understanding, their files are kept tight and bonus were the best. So, I will always be grateful to this program. Also the best, best thing i got from here is that I met my wonderful hubby there which he recently passed. Grateful for the opportunity to go to Integrity house Newark. The staff were great my time there and they actually take clients to the dentist and doctor. We had events going to movies and the beach and always did something for a holiday. They allow visits and your family can bring you things you need. Again appreciative for the chance to work on myself in Integrity.

Hi my name is Jasryn Partazana and I was a resident of Integrity House twice. I first came there in 2021 and learned the creed! Integrity helped me put my life together again. Unfortunately I needed more research in how bad addiction could get so after my relapse they readily took me back in 2023 no questions asked! Once again this wonderful program helped me change my life. I am where I am today because of this program. The management from Ms. Eman to Ms. Kayla is phenomenal! Their higher ups don’t just sit at the desk they actually involve themselves in the mix. Ms. Truddy is living proof that being resilient and staying clean is possible! and Ms. Gaby V is a great counselor who listens to her clients and builds the treatment plan from their perspective and what they feel is best along with her expertise! In addition, the residential aides Sheila, Haroline, and Belinda are influential and assist the counselors in running the house and making sure that we follow the rules and also regulate each other. Overall I learned how to be accountable and not to carry my trauma outside of those walls. It was not ever fun but it was necessary so that I could live a better life! If you’re thinking rehab and u don’t want it to be easy come to integrity. If you can get clean here you can stay clean anywhere!

I had a procedure in the endoscopy department on 04/09/2025. I must compliment the staff on their professionalism, and their knowledge of what was going to take place. They are truly a great surgical team. From the nurses, to the anesthesiologist , to the surgeons.They made me feel reassured, safe and, at peace. The nurse Latoya was very professional and very good at replacing my IV that was causing discomfort, inserted by someone else. Lastly, nurse Brianna was amazing, while I was recovering from anesthesia she was patient and very helpful, she didn't rush me at all and didn't make me feel uncomfortable. Nurse Brianna was also very knowledgable and extremely professional, thanks for the juice and cookie. While I was only under for a short period of time, Brianna gave me all the time I needed to recover, unlike the staff Ears, Nose & Throat; all they did was rush me out of their recovery room after a ten hour operation. DON"T EVER GO THERE. Lousy, uncaring and unprofessional.

This center does not provide services needed for special needs kids. I was basically given false information since the intake interview and the Westbury center mislead me for months making me think that they could help my son with his social skills and coping skills. They assigned someone who clearly did not have the experience and the knowledge to handle my sons case. They cashed in on months and months of counseling session with no improvement and after numerous requests by me to see if there was something else that could be done, I was told they did not have services that could help us out. Very upset and definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. ALSO SUPERVISOR WHO AWARE OF MY REQUESTS FOR MONTHS NEVER BOTHERED REACHING OUT TO ME WITH AN EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THIS HAPPENED

DYC is truly an amazing place.
Our son has thrived here, and has grown and learned a great deal. The staff is very dedicated, and there is even a weekly parents group.
Our son is given responsibilities, and there are expectations and discipline. He loves his position as part of the landscaping crew, and there is a joyful anticipation to transfer to the next phase in Brooklyn.
He has been there for 13 months, and we both agree that it has changed our lives.
