I was mandated by a judge to go there for 3 months. I spent 7 1/2 months there and it was the best thing to happen to me. I am clean and sober since 12/3/23 . I am indebted to all the staff and fellow Brothers Christopher for the sobriety I now enjoy. I haven't had this much sober time since 1986.

In July, 2021 I came unto the end of myself in my addiction. I had lost my children, my home, my dignity, and the respect of pretty much any one who knew me, including myself. I was broken, tired and ashamed but I hadn't lost all hope.I heard about the Hoving Home in Garrison, New York from a very unexpected source (my dealer). At the time I wasn't looking for God, I was just looking for ways to continue to numb my pain. But when this person told me about the Hoving Home, something in me stirred.I remember looking the Hoving Home up online and feeling very drawn to this place. I saw that it was a Christ centered and faith based program focused on helping women rebuild lives that had been shattered by addiction. I just knew that I had to get to this place!!!Now mind you, Im in SC with not a dollar to my name but when I took a step of faith to get to this place, God made a way...When I got to the Hoving Home I was embraced by a loving community of a bunch of broken people just like me. I instantly felt welcomed and loved. I thought I was just coming here to get sober but I got so much more! I encountered the love of Jesus at this place like I never had before. I was completely wrecked by His love! I found a freedom, peace, and joy like I had never known. I also received much needed healing from years of pain and trauma...Upon leaving the Hoving Home I went to a half-way house and saved money to go to Bible college in Minnesota where I met and married my amazing husband Matt. From there we moved back to my home town in SC to begin the process of restoration with my children. I'm coming up on 3 years of freedom from the chains of addiction in July, 2024. These secessions are psychoeducational, with the goal of learning about addiction in a group setting.After I completed I began to work with a recovery coach to help strengthen my recovery and commitment to remaining sober. My recovery Coach, Christina, is truly amazing. She checks in with me daily and we meet twice a week. We discuss what I am doing for my recovery on a daily basis and potential roadblocks I may encounter as I continue my journey of recovery. She also serves as a wonderful communicator with my loved ones and sharing my progress with them. She is always available for me when I need to reach out. Christina also helps me get back on track and is a great tool to help me rebuild my life.Most importantly, Christina truly cares about my recovery. She is so important in my journey through this new way of life and I highly recommend to all in recovery of looking into a recovery coach. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I ve been to. They believed in me when I didn t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I ve also seen some negative, and it s a shame those people didn t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

Just want to say that I'm extremely grateful for mcca and all the ways that the staff members helped me out. So grateful to have my life back, free from the bondage of alcohol,and drugs. But a special shout out to Heather she is the best counselor I could have even imagined, Heather has such a special place in my heart and has motivated me in not just my recovery but also In my life. she is viciously determined to get her clients on the right path and all the people she comes into contact with. I have never seen a one woman army untill I met Heather. She truly is a leader. With great social skills .Heather will sit down in the middle of any day at any time no matter how busy she is ,and make you feel like your the only person in the world. I recently had a procedure at Phelps Hospital with Dr. Karli Goldstein, and I cannot express enough how amazing my experience was. I traveled from Long Island for this procedure, and from the moment I stepped into the hospital, I was truly blown away.The lobby was beautiful, the registration process was smooth and efficient, and I was quickly brought to a private room that was both comfortable and calming. The nursing staff was absolutely incredible attentive, compassionate, and understanding. I have severe anxiety, and they went above and beyond to make me feel at ease, turning what could have been a stressful experience into the best it could possibly be.Dr. Goldstein and the entire team at Phelps Hospital provided exceptional care, and I am beyond grateful. Monte Nido Irvington absolutely saved my life. I had been suffering from my ED for years & treatment wasn t really helping me. I want to say first and foremost thank you to Monte Nido River Towns for truly being the reason that I am here today and able to live my life free from my eating disorder. I cannot thank every single person enough that worked there while I was admitted for there unconditional care and support. Each staff member held the hope for me when I felt like there was nothing left for me to do in this world. This treatment center will always hold a special place in my heart. I conquered some of my worst fears and rituals. I faced some of the most traumatic experiences in my life. I got a glimpse of what my life could like without the life thief always trying to make me feel undeserving of worthiness and love. It is a small clinic, so you have to adapt to their resources, like, that the lab work is only done in the mornings, and the My Healthy Vet self-service kiosk doesn't work, but the reception staff have always been very good.

Love Lexington!! Started on 412 Main Street, they got me into the methadone clinic and both places saved my life! I ve been sober for 3 1/2 years thanks to this program. The groups are great, the counselors are the absolute best in the area, the doctors and nurses care about not only your dose, but how your feeling and if you have any issues they bring you right to the doctor! I am extremely grateful for the care and attention from all the staff I've come to expect.It is astounding that these wonderful therapists, each with an unimaginable client to therapist ratio, are able successfully taylor individualized treatment objectives for their clients. We are able to get consistent, engaging, & experienced professionals helping to guide us through the maze that is mental illness.As overwhelmed, underfunded, and understaffed mental health service providers are apt to be, we are a few of the lucky ones. Way too many mentally ill people don't receive and/or have the resources to access this essential health care. They fall between the cracks and are endangered, or have the potential to endanger others.All in all, I can't say enough good things about my therapist, my PA, and all the administrative staff. They have always been kind, professional, friendly, helpful, and most importantly, empathetic. Thank you all!
