I attended 3 months ago and LICR was the most hospitable place From the moment I walked in the front door to the day I left the front door. Every faculty members from the bubble , to the owner and the counselors. Melanie stands out as one who made every patient feel like they were special to her. I took up yoga because of LICR and their amazing instructors. I made some good friends there which I have been in touch with since leaving.
Speakers were very helpful and insightful.
This facility never lacked the caring for it's members. As I told my Exit counselor. I feel I let them down if I would return. Their reply...we are very sure you won't.

Thank you LICR! This place saved me. I was in a bad way and with the help of LICR staff and community, I have been able to continue to stay sober for just over 1 year now. The food, kitchen staff, bedrooms, and facility was really incredible. The experience was no walk in the park, pretty brutal actually but it lead me to recovery!

I couldn't stay the full 28 days but this was not LICR's fault ... To be honest ive never been to a facility where the people cared so much about their patients. The service was above and beyond these people never told me no . They listened to my concerns and bent over backwards to try and get me to stay ... I can honestly say that ive never been treated better . The food was amazing ,The staff was friendly and accommodating and I really hope each and everyone there reads this review and understands that im extremely grateful for letting me part of such a wonderful program

My Mom had a wonderful experience at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island hospital! The care she received was exceptional! We were so impressed with how quick the response time was by the staff when the call button was pushed. The staff at every level was kind, caring, patient and professional. They went out of their way to make my Mom’s extended visit comfortable. Mom appreciated some of the staff’s humor and detailed explanations. My mother is legally blind and the staff went out of their way to help guide her with meals and walks with lots of detailed verbal cues. As you can see, Mom made the best of her stay ringing in the New year on 2North. Some of the staff that we would like to give a shout out to but not limited to are:

They feed you very well and the staff has been nothing but respectful and courteous to me
The groups are informative and the director is a very straightforward no nonsense person
They let us run our own groups sometimes and even tell our life story...
I've been here 10 days today and I couldn't think of a better place to go... That's if you want a nice quiet way to recover...you can have a phone and even go online and do virtual meetings (AA/NA) now don't get me wrong it's not a perfect program but, what is...My point is what you put in you get out and alternately it's your recovery...So yes it has it's fault however overall it works if you work it...

As with any treatment facility, your recovery depends on the work you put into it. My experience at Phoenix House was extremely helpful for me and overall was a positive experience. It is very easy to get distracted and focus on the downsides of the facility however I was taught (there) about changing my perspective and that made it easy for me to have acceptance and continue focusing on myself. I have been to many treatment centers in the past and have never had a counselor that cared or helped me as much as Michael Robinson did. The facility director Dave S. is great at what he does and from what I witnessed handled any/all issues fairly and promptly. Dave also ran groups which I found to be extremely informative and helpful. Special thanks to the chef Arthur who was extremely accommodating to my unique diet. An even bigger thank you to RSS Rob who in my opinion helped me just as much as Mike and Dave did. I will forever be grateful for my time spent at Phoenix House.

Was a patient here and than at Ronkonkoma years ago. I can't speak for how it is today but if it weren't for them I wouldn't be where I am today. If you don't want help you aren't going to be open to it so you can't fault the facility. But than again it's been about 15years since I was there so I don't know if it's still ran the same. I owe alot to the staff who was there when I was there. Especially londi.

My experience with Turnbridge was excellent. My 15 year old son first entered Woodbury and then the extensive care program in New Haven. In 6 months of rehab at Turnbridge they did a great job and today my son is with me in Argentina already returning to High School and continuing rehab with Argentine addiction specialists. I want to highlight 3 people, who in the order I mention them were very important for the emotional support and understanding of the situation I was going through. Waited over an hour in line for a Covid test on 12/23/21. Though the wait was long, the entire staff was amazing. I took my friend here for her doctor appointment. They have screens or real people to help you sign in. The waiting room area is roomy and there was a lot of space for strollers, wheelchairs and families. The nurses there are some of the most patient, polite people in the health care industry. Wear a mask if other people's coughing makes you nervous. Parking was not a problem for our end of work day appointment. There's a Walgreens in the same building and if you're hungry, head down the block a little to The Green Deli.

I like the facility and staff for the most part. Didn't like the amount of smoke breaks or at least how far apart they were. If you can check yourself out of the place I don't see why you're not trusted to smoke in their enclosed area. But the food was good. The chef there, John, made sure you had multiple options available

I never called to thank the people who worked at New Prospects at the time. Better late than never. To be honest, I don't remember any of their names, but I greatly appreciate the time and effort they contributed to make my experience successful. From the first day I got there in early 2018, till today, 10/15/2024, I am still clean and sober. I guess you could say it took. As for the place itself, the food was good, they let you smoke cigarettes outside, (so no forced abstinence as I understand happens at other places), and the rooms on the men's floor all had private bathrooms. I would recommend New Prospects to anyone who needs their services. Edit: I think I should say that I am 63 now and had been using multiple substances since my early-teens. This program, PLUS the REAL intention of quitting whatever and a life-change is what made it work.

Most of the staff is pretty good. A great place to go if you like fig newtons for a snack to hold you over till morning. Tom is the best worker there. But one is for sure, HANDLE ALL OF YOUR AFTERCARE ON YOU OWN!!! The lady says not to do anything for yourself and that she will take care of it and then the last 3 days you are there you have to scramble and do it all yourself because she hasn’t done a damn thing for you

I used to live in a tent for years. My nights were fearful. I had to worry about being attacked, robbed or bitten by raccoons. I'd leave the tent to hang out in a starbucks or a library to have something to do. I prayed to God and I didn't understand how I ended up with nothing after a life of helping family and friends. Then Concerns gave me shelter and it's a place I can afford. I don't feel banished, or like an outcast anymore.

Knowing the staff has to deal with some difficult people 'i get why they might have a attitude once in awhile. This program probably saved my life but it definitely changed since I've been coming here for 22 years. Seems to me that the MONEY is most
