Coming to LITC has been a great and transformational experience. The people that come here and work here are all very serious and committed to getting and keeping you on the right track. The facility is nice and accommodating, offering morning and evening meetings throughout the week. It is conveniently located and they provide food and beverages which is especially great for anyone coming on a tight schedule. If you or someone you know is struggling and is looking for help, I'd very strongly recommend getting in contact with the people at LITC.

Live. Laugh. Love. No, not just that— love and light. Central Nassau has taught me these important lessons about life and there’s no turning back for me now. When you go to therapy, you live. When you see dogs in the waiting room and you start having flashbacks, laugh. Most of all, I’m so inspired by the fact that we the declared maladaptive members of society have a place to go. (In all seriousness my peer supporter is a badass and her support has been absolutely amazing. I really have no complaints other than aforementioned dogs in the building).

Lisamarie Hudak Veterans Outreach Specialist has done an outstanding job in helping me with attaining my veterans benefits. She offers peer to peer support because talking with fellow veterans is comradeship. She really cares about her fellow veterans

Not what I expected. I remember going as a child with my father in the 70s and it was horrible. Now the staff are friendly, professional and helpful. The physicians are from NYU Langone and of a very high caliber.

I have been going to this hospital for years. And, I have come to appreciate the care and service that was administered. Since this was the hospital that diagnosed my diabetic situation, I have come to the advice and counseling that allows me to deal with this condition. By being a patient of this hospital the care and support this hospital gives is way above the call of standards of professional Healthcare.

Their energy is truly unmatched. No matter how heavy your heart may feel walking into the hospital, they make it just a little lighter. They are the gold standard for what exceptional customer service looks like. During my father’s recent stay, we experienced the incredible care of the ICU team — especially Layla, one of the night nurses who not only shared my Filipino heritage but also our deep value for compassion and dedication. She, along with several others in the unit, earned our family’s full admiration and gratitude. Their attentiveness, professionalism, and heartfelt care made all the difference during such a stressful time. I also want to recognize the outstanding neurology team — Khadija, Samantha, and Lexi. These three women were a powerhouse of knowledge, support, and empathy. They kept us fully informed, took time to answer every question, and gave us peace of mind during each twist and turn. Their communication and teamwork were impeccable, and we felt truly seen and heard throughout my father’s treatment. From the emergency room to the ICU surgical unit, then to the SPA unit, and back to ICU, and finally to the 11th floor — every department played a crucial role in my father’s recovery journey. Your staff didn’t just treat a patient; you supported a whole family. Thank you for your care, your professionalism, and your humanity. We are forever grateful.
