My son has been working with Morris, a Recovery Coach at Mountainside for the past eight months and the experience has been exceptional for us both! Morris truly understands how to support recovery in a real world, day to day way.
The coaching goes further than check-ins. It includes accountability, life skills, emotional support, and sometimes honest hard conversations. My son has learned how to manage challenges, make healthier choices and is learning how to stay focused on his long-term goals. The progress he’s made has been remarkable and I credit much of that to the consistent well informed coaching he receives.
Not only does Morris provide coaching to my son, his expertise extends to me as well. He is highly responsive and always follows through.
Mountainside’s Recovery coaching is more than a service. It feels like it’s a true partnership. As a mom navigating this process, I am grateful for the guidance, structure, the encouragement and situational advice Morris provides. I have been coming here since they opened. It's a very clean, new office. They have a lab on site and if you go in the A M they send your blood draw up to VA North Port and the lab work is ready the next day for your appointment at North Port VA.

It works people. However, it is not just given to you. You have to work hard for it. I DID. July 15, I will be 3yrs no illicit Drugs, 6 months no Alcohol. An amazing group of individuals helping those of us who not only want or need help, but are there helping us work through not only our addictions but emotions. 10 out of 10 Would recommend if you’re in need… pretty much anything that will make you feel better about yourself by helping you… understand yourself. And it’s nice to sit in a group of peers judgement free. There is nothing but love pouring out of this place. And as a side note after reading lower rated posts. I have no insurance and they have done absolutely nothing more than help me and be there for me. Please if you feel you need some help, give them a call. It’s worth it.

Came to NYC for vacation. Got drunk, fell getting out of the shower in the hotel. Busted my eyebrow open. Went to the VA NY Harbor ER to get patched up. The place was surprising slow for a holiday weekend. The place was clean, staff was nice. Got me stiched up and did a CT scan to make sure I was GTG. If you’re a Vet in the area and don’t care your care there, you should.

I was a Patient there for approximately 9 months. A Wonderful Atmosphere and you’re surrounded by ppl who Really Care.
Especially the Counselors, My Counselor in Particular. Her Name was Jenn. A Wonderful Person and an Absolute Dear young Lady.
She was Extremely informative and Knows just how to make you feel Comfortable and Cared For.
I was going through a Rough patch, but looked Forward to my meetings with her every week and Every time I left her office, I ALWAYS FELT BETTER AND FELT LIKE SOMEONE CARED..
I can Honestly Say, Meeting Jenn was a Highlight of my Time there.
I only left there because I found a place Much Closer to my home out East.
But my Counselor there will always be close to my heart.
And I Thank Her Dearly.
All in all, a Wonderful Place to Get Clean and Stay Clean 👍🏻😁

Family Service League has been a true lifeline for our family. The entire staff is compassionate, professional, and genuinely dedicated to helping people in need. From the moment we met with Robyn and Mary through Joe’ Project, we felt supported. We are incredibly grateful for the guidance and support they’ve provided. I am a special needs adult 26 years old. I had hernia surgery on June 23rd 2026. Everyone went above and beyond and took extra care of me from doctor that did surgery, nurses and every staff at Huntington hospital. They even let my mom in the recovery room so I wake up I my Mom is there to make me feel safe. I would go to Huntington hospital for anything including physatric mental health problems because everyone is so accommodating and making a special needs adult relaxed and feeling warm welcoming to Huntington hospital. I lived in huntington between may 1975 and Nov 2008. Several times I needed the help of their emergency room always got great care and very helpful I was admitted to the hospital several times over the years. Always got great care there. My mother was also an RN at huntington hospital for over 30 years.

The New York Center for Living is helping our family a great deal. Healing is a process and it is not easy, however CFL provides support not just for the teen but also for the parents and the family.
