My whole first year I gave dirty drug test every single time with no consequences other the. Being checked on in a compassionate manner. This is the only reason I am clean today. I was able to do it on my own terms. And I have been to dozens of other treatment facility’s and clinics. Not a single one worked. The private rooms, birthing balls during labor, and the option of having your own tub made the experience even more comfortable. If you’re truly tired of the life of drug abuse and genuinely want to change, I highly recommend St. Christopher’s Inn. The staff, the structure, and the brotherhood helped save my life. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I can’t speak for everyone or every program, but I felt very cared for. I told them I needed a hot shower because I couldn’t regulate my body temp and the nurse had someone come and clean the shower for me. I had to sit on the FLOOR, of essentially a public shower I was so sick. But it still felt clean. The shower head was odd and too powerful, but again, available and CLEAN! I was properly cared for, and if you EVER need help, they’re in your room quickly. Medications are taken seriously and used appropriately and given regularly. I was woken up to take my meds, which is probably the only reason I woke up without pain or nausea. I spent very little time here, but it was very pleasant and the staff very caring. I haven’t even had a hangover post care at this facility, but if I ever struggled again, I’d admit myself here willingly. Staff makes the entire program worth it, and they’re (in my experience as of mid 2025) excellent :) no thanks 1 year ago
