My whole first year I gave dirty drug test every single time with no consequences other the. Being checked on in a compassionate manner. This is the only reason I am clean today. I was able to do it on my own terms. And I have been to dozens of other treatment facility’s and clinics. Not a single one worked. Hospital is always clean, most departments run efficiently and effectively. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. They have a starbucks inside, cafeteria and free parking for both patient and visitors. Wayyyy better than some other hospitals in Westchester. M 1 month ago I had an amazing experience with Phelps for the labor and delivery of my son. The hospital staff as well as the Harrison midwifery practice was amazing. The nursing staff was so attentive and always made sure I was as comfortable as possible and my needs were met. Special thanks to labor and delivery nurses Kristin and Mary, and midwife Tonya Singer. Danielle B 4 years ago I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina. Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me. Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina. Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it’s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife’s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. I’ve been sober ever since. Out of all the places I went, this was the place where it finally clicked for me. Their long term program and tough love approach were exactly what I needed no sugarcoating, no excuses, just real recovery and real accountability. If you’re truly tired of the life of drug abuse and genuinely want to change, I highly recommend St. Christopher’s Inn. The staff, the structure, and the brotherhood helped save my life. I still try to go back every summer for their annual picnic because that place will always mean something special to me. I owe them more than words can explain. God bless everyone there. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. PJ Amedeo 2 months ago I'm not sure which st johns i went to but it was for detox and it was amazing the staff the nurses were very helpful and actually cared I would highly recommend it for anyone that's going through addiction the food was amazing the service was amazing I wish I could have done rehab I was there on 3 north I believe but there were no beds available for rehab greatest detox I've ever been to I did a review on both because I wasn't sure which one I was at but I was there from December 16th to December 21st greatest experience even the patients were cool highly recommend my name is Rody Rody Gonzalez 5 months ago I went here after my local ER failed me and kept sending me home with alcohol poisoning / withdrawals. I can’t speak for everyone or every program, but I felt very cared for. I told them I needed a hot shower because I couldn’t regulate my body temp and the nurse had someone come and clean the shower for me. I had to sit on the FLOOR, of essentially a public shower I was so sick. But it still felt clean. The shower head was odd and too powerful, but again, available and CLEAN! I was properly cared for, and if you EVER need help, they’re in your room quickly. Medications are taken seriously and used appropriately and given regularly. I was woken up to take my meds, which is probably the only reason I woke up without pain or nausea. I spent very little time here, but it was very pleasant and the staff very caring. I haven’t even had a hangover post care at this facility, but if I ever struggled again, I’d admit myself here willingly. Staff makes the entire program worth it, and they’re (in my experience as of mid 2025) excellent :) no thanks 10 months ago
