My whole first year I gave dirty drug test every single time with no consequences other the. Being checked on in a compassionate manner. This is the only reason I am clean today. I was able to do it on my own terms. And I have been to dozens of other treatment facility’s and clinics. Not a single one worked. Hospital is always clean, most departments run efficiently and effectively. All the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. They have a starbucks inside, cafeteria and free parking for both patient and visitors. Wayyyy better than some other hospitals in Westchester. The nursing staff was so attentive and always made sure I was as comfortable as possible and my needs were met. Special thanks to labor and delivery nurses Kristin and Mary, and midwife Tonya Singer. I’ve been sober ever since. Out of all the places I went, this was the place where it finally clicked for me. Their long term program and tough love approach were exactly what I needed no sugarcoating, no excuses, just real recovery and real accountability. If you’re truly tired of the life of drug abuse and genuinely want to change, I highly recommend St. Christopher’s Inn. The staff, the structure, and the brotherhood helped save my life. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. Dr. Peter Sayegh and the hospitals nurses and technicians were professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They took the time to explain the procedure, answer my questions, and make me feel comfortable and at ease. The staff was attentive throughout my stay, and I felt well cared for every step of the way. The facility was clean, organized, and efficient. PJ Amedeo 3 months ago I'm not sure which st johns i went to but it was for detox and it was amazing the staff the nurses were very helpful and actually cared I would highly recommend it for anyone that's going through addiction the food was amazing the service was amazing I wish I could have done rehab I was there on 3 north I believe but there were no beds available for rehab greatest detox I've ever been to I did a review on both because I wasn't sure which one I was at but I was there from December 16th to December 21st greatest experience even the patients were cool highly recommend my name is Rody Rody Gonzalez 7 months ago I went here after my local ER failed me and kept sending me home with alcohol poisoning / withdrawals. I can’t speak for everyone or every program, but I felt very cared for. I told them I needed a hot shower because I couldn’t regulate my body temp and the nurse had someone come and clean the shower for me. I had to sit on the FLOOR, of essentially a public shower I was so sick. But it still felt clean. The shower head was odd and too powerful, but again, available and CLEAN! I was properly cared for, and if you EVER need help, they’re in your room quickly. Medications are taken seriously and used appropriately and given regularly. I was woken up to take my meds, which is probably the only reason I woke up without pain or nausea. I spent very little time here, but it was very pleasant and the staff very caring. I haven’t even had a hangover post care at this facility, but if I ever struggled again, I’d admit myself here willingly. Staff makes the entire program worth it, and they’re (in my experience as of mid 2025) excellent :) no thanks 11 months ago

I saw some of the negative comments and I totally disagree. The counselors are awesome. They are not judgemental. They call clients on their BS!! Of course there are clients who are mandated. That's every rehab. But there are also people who are there because they need help and want to be there. I loved the counselors because they were very in tune to the disease of addiction. Someone mentioned the "older white male" counselor. He was one of my favorites. They are very compassionate. They also run their groups efficiently. I've been to some outpatient programs where the counselors can't control the groups and by the time the group is over...I forgot what the actual group topic was. Abi Galligan 4 months ago I spent a month at their PHP program. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for literally all of the staff at the hospital. The intake team worked so fast and made me already feel like I was in good hands. The therapists were incredible, that is saying more than you could know coming from me. Each one had their own style and strengths and collectively produced a therapy experience that no individual therapist could possible provide; they had an entourage effect of sorts. We only knew the “interns” were interns because they told us. The psychiatric team was compassionate, extremely advanced (objectively), I have very strong opinions about psychiatry and honestly all three psychiatrists were a standard well above what I could have expected. The kitchen staff was kind and the food was good for cafeteria food. The hospital helped find transportation for me and could not have been more supportive and accommodating. I’m getting emotional writing this because I didn’t really believe such a place existed, and to know that there actually is good quality help, for someone whose been seeking it for a long time, challenged my jaded perspectives in a very positive way. I see the negative reviews and it makes sense that people; patients and supportive family, going through a difficult time might find frustration as healing is in no way linear; but I can say with confidence that you and your loved ones are taking a really good shot with Saint Vincents Jonathan Khalili 10 months ago	3
