Top Volp's post says a lot about our society - elderyly people, many of whom had difficult lives, are simply an eyesore for this individual who thinks that the entire city should be bent toward making sure everything is tidy and in order for those who don't want to be "bothered" by people who don't fit into the mold of the "up and coming" neighborhood.
We're never told what is meant by "up and coming", but we can certainly guess. I have an idea, if it bothers you so much then why don't you move to Kansas?

The great outweigh the frustrations.
The staff in the building are capable, competent, compassionate, patient, and truly wonderful! They helped me unlock so much in my recovery, and I left my 30 day treatment feeling like a truly new man. I feel like Im a version of myself that I didn’t know existed. I have such supreme admiration for the boots on the ground: Marguerite, Kelly, Sheets, and Jeff, to the case managers (shoutout Maggie), to the group leaders like Betty, Scott, Nick, Donald, Kevin, Rob, Ben, to the nursing and RSS staff, the cleaning staff, and kitchen staff. They all contributed in saving my life.
The frustrations stem from the negligence at the top levels of this company. There were several situations, and altercations that put the patients hygeine, safety, and ultimately, sobriety in jeopardy due to extreme budget cuts. The “interim ceo” peacocks around the hallways, and when directly adressed by patients with issues about patients concerns, he smugly passes the buck and ignores said issues. If it werent for these frustrations, this place could be the gold standard for recovery.
For these reasons, I give the staff a 9 out of 5, and the pencil pushers a resounding 0 out of 5.

Tonight I was with a family member in the emergency room and would like to express my thanks to the staff who were not only professional, but were compassionate and kind. I believe the nurse who was there first was Alicia, whose shift was ending at 7p.m. and there was also Joann. Both of these women are a true blessing to any patient that needs emergency treatment.

My father was brought into the ER with a heart issue. The staff were amazing! Everyone worked diligently to stabilize his condition and make him comfortable. I spent 21 day at Summit in Union NJ. From the moment I arrived at Summit I was treated with respect and compassion that was constant throughout my stay and even now they reach out to me on a weekly basis. Everyone from the intake personal .. the techs.. the nurses the docs the counselors and housekeeping .. were incredibly patient .. caring..professional ..just all out wonderful people. God bless them. With their help I was able to start a new life. A life far from perfect but 100 percent real. The things i learned there are profound. They cannot cure addiction but if you are an addict with an open mind who is honest and willing to change...? Serenity is a very good starting point. If you have an open heart it helps as well. My miracle took off at Serenity..my new life started at Serenity..if you are an addict?

I must say after using since 2005 i got clean shortly after joining there program the staff is like family the clients are very diverse from all races and walks of life and gives the place a great vibe for recovery i was able to go down on my dose of opiate blockage medication (methadone) monthly.

After more than 10 years on methadone I finally decided I was ready to taper. A lot of people never do which is fine but for me it got me stable enough to work and I wanted to carry on with my life. this felt nothing like the usual methadone clinic. it was a private sort of feel and I never felt like dr.leers or my counselor was every watching the clock./ tthey were just there to help.

East Coast Recovery is amazing! It’s amazing because the people that work there are incredible and they care very much about seeing clients succeed. I initially planned on being at East Coast on a week to week basis, not knowing how it was going to be before I got there. The service I received and the help I got far exceeded all of my expectations. I ended up staying for over three months. I have nothing but positive things to say about Seafield. It basically saved my life and has guided me to a much healthier and happier way of living. I do not receive Medicaid and this is out come from my pockets so financially it hurts a little bit but as for the doctors, they perfectly great great, the only thing I said is back to back appointment for the same thing with different doctors but other than that, they absolutely great
