It's been 7 years since I was in treatment at Mountainside. What a great place. I had no idea where I was going the night I ended up there, but I'm glad I went. They set me on the right path. I still attend the alumni get togethers organized by Kendal to Isabell. It's been very helpful staying connected. Life is so much clearer these days, greatful not to be in the dark haze of dealing with daily hungovers. I would like to say thank you to all the staff that helped me.

Amazing place and miracles truly happen!!!I truly didn’t want to live anymore when I first got there but the staff there helped me change my thinking around and I am truly forever grateful!!!!!!Lori was nothing short of amazing and relentless on helping me get into the rehab and I ended up with an amazing counselor named John that really helped me open my eyes !!

The staff at cornerstone are excellent! Laurie from admissions is extremely helpful and goes above and beyond for the Clients at cornerstone! I would 100% recommend this program and facility to anyone looking to go to inpatient.

Just a review from a loved one who is thankful for the care given. I don’t know much other than Lori is sent from a higher power to work on and coordinate rehabilitative services. We hope the tools and resources will spark the journey in lasting recovery and are so thankful for everything. Compassion is such a hard thing to convey, but it reverberates through the process from the very beginning of intake all the way to the heart of the journey. I think this place is absolutely amazing... A bed, food, shower, a safe place to get clean and healthy, AMAZING staff who truly care about what they do and help in any way they can, a great stepping stone for integration back into the world after inpatient rehab. I'm so blessed, honored, and grateful to have been accepted here and have the wonderful team I have on my side and all the wonderful woman I'm here with helping each other this way.. I HIGHLY recommend trying this place out of ur trying to get sober. Jenna, Emma, Karen and carry r amazing..... Update( the new director there is amazing so caring and really truly wants to just help, and it's always there to listen and you can talk to her about anything... I don't know about these old reviews people are saying how terrible this place is I guess that was maybe when it was run by other ppl it wasn't as good . But I came in 5-11-23. Thru 5-10-24... Mountainside has been one of the best treatment facilities that I have ever worked with. I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina.
Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.
Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.
Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it’s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife’s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. Most important she has helped keep our sons recovery moving positively forward day after day.

My cousin, who is more like a brother to me, has been to DYC more than once. While he is no longer there today, that is not because of any shortcoming on DYC’s part. This place is truly a diamond in the rough.
DYC is one of the very few long-term treatment facilities available for youth, a rarity that in itself makes it invaluable. But beyond that, what makes DYC extraordinary is the people: kind, compassionate, dedicated individuals who consistently go above and beyond not only for its members but also for the families who walk alongside them in this difficult journey.
From the Fallsburg residence to the Brooklyn program and beyond, DYC offers so much more than treatment. It provides dignity, holistic care, and the life skills, introspection, and tools needed to break free from addiction’s grip. It is a place that treats people as whole human beings, worthy of love, healing, and hope.
Although my cousin is no longer a member due to his own circumstances and decisions, DYC has never left me behind. For over a year, I have been attending the family groups virtually every Wednesday, and in that time I have been heard, understood, guided, and supported. These groups have profoundly shifted my beliefs, my approach, and my ability to support not only my cousin but also myself as I navigate the long and painful road that addiction weaves into families.
I especially want to recognize Jen and Scott, who lead our Wednesday meetings with such care, wisdom, and compassion. Their ability to hold space for every single person in the group - through laughter, tears, and honest conversation - has been life-changing. They embody the heart of what makes DYC so special.
I have cried with this community, laughed with them, and learned from them. I have been humbled by the strength of other families and, in turn, found strength of my own. The gratitude I feel for DYC, the staff, the families, and the space they create together, cannot truly be captured by words. But I can say this: DYC has given me hope, perspective, and a community when I needed it most. For that, I am forever thankful.

This place saved my life….. I don’t even know where to start. They welcomed me in with open arms in a judgement free zone, made sure I had everything I needed for food, hygiene, meds, and general support. EVERY SINGLE STAFF member was caring and attentive to my needs from check in to check out. I can’t thank and recommend this place enough….. huge specific shout outs to little Kayla, Jim, Rodger, Dave, and I forgot her name but the lady that does the meditation! And from the bottom of my heart thank you all again you are literally life savers ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️!

I'm not one to ever write reviews but I felt this was important enough to. My husband had an appt with Barbara at The healthy mind psychiatric services, when I made the appt. I made sure to tell them everything that was going on to see if this place would be a good fit. They assured me it would be and they would be able to help. So we waited for the appt. My husband went and said it was the worst experience he has EVER had, she did not even let him get one word in before telling him this isn't the right place for him after 2 minutes of meeting him. Made him feel horrible and on top of saying she would give him numbers to another place that might be a better fit all she did was write down on a piece of paper Griffin Hospital. Seriously??? I understand not everyone is a good fit, but that's why when we made the appt every thing was told upfront and we were told they would be able to help, and to dismiss him the way she did, she should feel ashamed of herself. Very disappointing.
