October 2025 - At Ivy's Brewed Awakenings, my comments are similar to my last review. Eating for the first time in the early afternoon, I enjoyed their egg, sausage and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. Their baked goods are so delicious, we saw one worker bring four danishes stacked on top of each other all smiles heading back to his work area. Only two muffins were left when we got there, and my family member bought both with a small coffee.

June 2025 - Returning for a follow-up appointment, we looked forward to going to Ivy's Brewed Awakenings coffee shop on the first floor again. They serve breakfast all day and I hadn't eaten yet around 2:00, so I ordered an egg sandwich with bacon and cheese on an English muffin with no butter. My family member looked forward to having one of their muffins again with a medium coffee. She had the cinnamon and took two to-go. We sat at a table for two. The egg sandwich was very good. Plenty of crispy, warm bacon, lightly toasted muffin, and wrapped in foil in a cardboard box. I heard someone else order their chicken sandwich and another order their chicken salad with pecans. I'll try lunch next time.

A member of my family started going here to see a new doctor. He gives her very thorough exams and care. The lobby has good security where anyone coming in has to check in and get a pass. Decent amount of parking.
I wanted to review the coffee shop in the lobby for visitors and staff, "Ivy's Brewed Awakenings," and tried to add it as a place as a local guide, but Google Maps couldn't confirm it and rejected my request. So, here are some photos of the eatery's seating and menus, plus a shot of two of the three breakfast muffins we bought, pistachio, and blueberry. We split the cinnamon one, which was unbelievably good. Only Starbucks coffee is sold here, and Ivy's makes it in every way, from lattes to cappuccino or just plain coffee, which we had and enjoyed. Both breakfast and lunch food are made here.

When 'john" &/or 'Jane' Doe come out soon or later that counselor that was so "awesome" turns out to be human...i will say I've been around FSL for ...decades now, and I can't say I've heard of or experienced a outright "Awful" counselor I've never personally had the slightest issue. Note, I gave them four (4) stars solely because a few people who's judgement I take heed too from time to time have had less than necessary encountered...ok

I am clean now for 5 years due to my higher power (JEHOVAH) but the success of my abstinence started with LICR. LICR has many ways to teach relaxation and meditation. Also, LICR food is the best. It is better than Seafield.

My Mom had a wonderful experience at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island hospital! The care she received was exceptional! We were so impressed with how quick the response time was by the staff when the call button was pushed. The staff at every level was kind, caring, patient and professional. They went out of their way to make my Mom’s extended visit comfortable. Mom appreciated some of the staff’s humor and detailed explanations. My mother is legally blind and the staff went out of their way to help guide her with meals and walks with lots of detailed verbal cues. Excellent rehab Hospital. I came here to rehab after my back surgery. Very professional! The PT and OT sessions really got me back on my feet. I had 3 hours a day while under the care of doctors and nurses. Everyone is very nice and cared about my welfare. I saw many hospital administrators who wanted to make sure I was happy with my rehab. Social worker was awesome. I even saw the VP of rehab medicine who I felt, was genuinely concerned for my comfort. I cannot say enough good things about this Rehab facility. The whole Catholic Health group is fabulous. The employees are to be happy working here. Even the food is great. I would definitely recommend this facility.

She truly goes above and beyond, and her care made a huge impact on my journey. Her entire team is amazing as well, always kind, compassionate, and ready to help.

I've been here 10 days today and I couldn't think of a better place to go... That's if you want a nice quiet way to recover...you can have a phone and even go online and do virtual meetings (AA/NA) now don't get me wrong it's not a perfect program but, what is...My point is what you put in you get out and alternately it's your recovery...So yes it has it's fault however overall it works if you work it...

As with any treatment facility, your recovery depends on the work you put into it. My experience at Phoenix House was extremely helpful for me and overall was a positive experience. It is very easy to get distracted and focus on the downsides of the facility however I was taught (there) about changing my perspective and that made it easy for me to have acceptance and continue focusing on myself. I have been to many treatment centers in the past and have never had a counselor that cared or helped me as much as Michael Robinson did. The facility director Dave S. is great at what he does and from what I witnessed handled any/all issues fairly and promptly. Dave also ran groups which I found to be extremely informative and helpful. Special thanks to the chef Arthur who was extremely accommodating to my unique diet. An even bigger thank you to RSS Rob who in my opinion helped me just as much as Mike and Dave did. I will forever be grateful for my time spent at Phoenix House.

Was a patient here and than at Ronkonkoma years ago. I can't speak for how it is today but if it weren't for them I wouldn't be where I am today. If you don't want help you aren't going to be open to it so you can't fault the facility. But than again it's been about 15years since I was there so I don't know if it's still ran the same. I owe alot to the staff who was there when I was there. Especially londi.

Went there around 2013. I didn't stay clean after, but I didn't want to. They had a zero tolerance for drugs so the sober houses were actually clean and if someone used they'd be kicked out. The classes were long but not terrible. Ellen was great. Only thing was the sober house was in the HOOD HOOD where we had a crack dealer on our corner, prostitues 100ft away, and coke being sold out the barbershop lol.

The therapist and nurse practitioner are wonderful. I know that people with mental issues want to need help. My family member asked for help. So far, this group has been excellent, and I see marked improvement. I have nothing but praise for this group and I feel comfortable with them. Again, I read the reviews, and years ago, I went through this kind of therapy with another family member who, no matter how we tried to help, it was always someone else's fault. It was not this group. We are pleased with their help.

I am eternally grateful to the kind folks at Mather Mental Health clinic. When I was unwell, I knew I really needed the help, but at the same time I wasn't sure if I'd get better. Sure enough, here I am years later, writing a review that I feel so much better now! I'd worked with several other therapists before landing at Mather, and I have to say that these people are the best. Most of all, Clara. I'm very, very thankful for the opportunity to work with her and to get better.

I'm glad I went to Mather Mental Health Clinic. I've been treated there since January of this year(2020). I've honestly done a complete 180 since I started.
When I started my treatment at the clinic, I felt hopeless, I didn't want to live anymore, I felt like everything I did was never good enough.
I've always known I needed help but I was too stubborn to do anything about it. I kept saying, "I'm fine. I will be fine." Obviously I was not fine.
Thanks to Clara, the doctors and group, I have control over my life again. They've given me tools that I can use for the rest of my life. I know that there will be bad days, that's part of life. But now I know how to handle them better than before I received help.
I'm moving out of state and I wish I could still see them all on zoom but unfortunately their policy doesn't allow it.
Special thanks to Clara, Dr. Patel, Dr. Qadri, Alexandra and our group. You are all amazing. Thank you for all your help ❤ I'll miss you all!

My Mom had a wonderful experience at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island hospital! The care she received was exceptional! We were so impressed with how quick the response time was by the staff when the call button was pushed. The staff at every level was kind, caring, patient and professional. They went out of their way to make my Mom’s extended visit comfortable. Mom appreciated some of the staff’s humor and detailed explanations. My mother is legally blind and the staff went out of their way to help guide her with meals and walks with lots of detailed verbal cues. I really like this program and find it super helpful for my depression. The groups usually go by fast and have great prompts and different ways of thinking and very nice and knowledgeable people running it. They don’t make you share or participate if you don’t want to, my only critique would be they should probably call on people to participate and share ( and of course allow them the option to say no I don’t want to share) because most of us are willing to participate and just need to be prompted but will never volunteer on our own
