I realize that each of us have our own unique experience. But I will say for the VA that if you go to the trouble of filing a complaint in Dayton about any questionable or just bad treatment, that they take your complaint very seriously. They also hold the department or agency at the center of the complaint responsible. In regards to my complaint not only did the VA call me directly but a representative of the department concerning the complaint asked me to come into meet with them so they could hear directly what changes I was wanting or needing. Sometimes we lose people, and when that happens these words dont mean much. Its the worse experience of our life. None of us ever want it and we all dread it. In those cases there isnt any words that help. But for current situations outside of those circumstances like mine, my experience has been positive. Ive found 1 or 2 Drs that need to go back to bed-side manner school. One of them the class about fraternization and compassion and another about the privacy rights of secretly recording visits without the patients knowledge or consent. My VA office is in Lima Ohio. The facility is spotless and my appointments are always prompt and on time. Never have I waited uncomfortable periods of time and most times Ive barely set down before their calling my name after checking in. I will say hgowever it was a mistake to remove the kiosks. I realize that older veterans may have troube with technology but those kiosks can be designed with ease of use in mind for EVERYONE. 4 STARS for LIMA VA

I was nervous coming here with the reviews, but honestly, the staff was great. My son had stuck something in his ear and we were seen in a timely fashion and there was enough support in the room to take care of the inserted object. I have been having severe sciatica nerve pain for 7 months. I was blown off by doctor's at other hospitals. On Sunday I came into Wilson Health emergency room and the doctors and staff ran a CT scan that showed I was suffering from Cauda Equina and required emergency surgery. They had me rushed by ambulance to another hospital 45 minutes away and I had surgery soon after. If it wasn't for the doctor and staff actually listening to me and running the proper test at best id still be in horrendous pain right now and at worst I'd be paralyzed. So thank you so much Wilson Health emergency department for helping me when no one else would listen!!!

I struggle with severe OCD and intrusive thoughts. My very caring psychiatrist, Angela Soder, is right by my side and helps me fight my battle with OCD day in and day out. I'd be so lost without her. Without her, I sometimes wonder if I would of given up and lost my battle some time ago. I like how she NEVER suggests the ER for my unless of course, I was serious with a plan and/or intent to hurt myself or others, which so far hasn't happened yet. Instead, she schedules me in for an appointment so we can talk about it. Any other psych provider I talk to doesn't even attempt to help me. They just say something along the lines of "You need to go to the ER and probably be admitted" how is locking me up with my thoughts supposed to help? She understands my thoughts are just thoughts and I just need someone to talk to when I feel a certain way. She understands that admitting me into the hospital isn't the answer, and will only make me feel worse. Anyway, I give Angela Soder 5 stars! She is awesome! Again, I'd be so lost without her! Brittany and Brandy at this office are also amazing! They're supportive and also don't suggest the ER when I call and talk to them.

Been going here for years. Have worked with Dr. Katz, Valerie Mumaw and Dr. Brickner. The providers and staff have always treated me with respect and worked patiently and pleasantly to iron out any problems. It was a little rough getting used to Valerie after Dr. Katz but with some patience on my part, we gained a better understanding of each other and now I've found her to be a caring and patient provider. Dr. Brickner has been great to work with as well, affable and kind with appropriate focus on and genuine concern for a clients mental health and well-being.I'm sorry for all the people who've had such poor experiences as I have found this to be one of the best facilities of it's kind with wonderful people.

Some recovery center her in Dayton do not have your best interest in mind, just in the recovery business for the money, but here at AppleGate it s a small family oriented staff who are in the recovery business for the right reasons. Some of the staff have been through recovery themselves and can relate to your situation without prejudice or a feeling of being judged. Medmark is a great option for outpatient treatment in Dayton. There is often little to no wait time to dose, which compared to other clinics in the area, is a superior benefit.The majority of counselors and other staff are a step above. They tend to be more understanding, compassionate, down to earth and helpful than their peers in the field who are employed elsewhere. They go above and beyond for clients, making time for emergencies, questions, and requests.The program overall doesn't require an exceptional amount of the client's life, with just one group or one on one required per month.The location is convenient to get to, but the area tends to be pretty ghetto with a lot of "riff raff" in the parking lot.

It's hit or miss.The psychiatrist we found is a gem, who shares her professional advice after listening to our experiences and concerns. Dr. Kaitlyn Pollack is professional, understanding and friendly.However, finding a therapist that you trust and respect is a process, because you likely will have to try a few before finding the right person to help you. I've been a client on and off for multiple years for Substance Use Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. I've always been pleased with the care I receive. I've participated in their IOP, PHP, After-care, individual therapy, and psychiatric programs. I've received medical help including the Vivitrol shot. The counselors are great (I've had at least seven different ones) and care about their clients. They are able to refer to higher levels of care if needed. They accept Caresource.And, as always with mental health facilities, you usually get out of it what you put into it.

I have been there 2 times, very professional and kind staff. I like that they treat you with respect and listen to you. The programs are good and teach coping skills. I was taken 2 times there "against my will", but after all i have learned there, I am a new person. So thank you to the staff there and for the help they provide.

I absolutely disagree to the one stars on here. I had a loved one here and I could not say enough about the care, the staff, the doctors, the discharge. The diagnosis was very accurate with a treatment plan and medication . This place was clean from the lobby to inside during a visit! loved one is discharged, also said, they were caring and compassionate! They saved our loved one for now and if they have to go back to inpatient, rest assure we would choose this facility once again. Thank you to staff that helped and most of all to social worker Day regarding discharge especially the hard work and out of state follow up appts that were lined up with the new team. (keeping details minimum for privacy to loved one)

I see a lot of bad reviews. Yea they do take time to help u but there s also other people there . Filthy? That s on you. People come and clean I ve seen it but there s only so much they can do. If I went back to treatment it wouldn t be any other place.

You're in group from 7am to 8pm. I never had time to just decompress and actually think about things. In class so much,they often repeated the same things over and over I often"tuned out" due to repetitiveness. Also, I really need one on one therapy I didn't get it. Barley could use the phone and tecs were on power trips. Instead of making recovery happy. But overall they did a good job.

I went back because they were so kind when I got blood work. So I tried the ER experience. I told desk about my pain and immediately I got X-rays and Dr. Ray was so full of info for me andHe was not in a hurry to leave me until he answered my questions!! Thank you for A plus care. On our most recent visit the ER treated my daughter with amazing care. They were quick and helped us onto the next phase for my daughter s medical care. We were informed the entire time. Never left in the dark about what was going on.

Mercy Health is a small hospital and for years never heard much positive. Well I have had 2 weeks of amazing care for my mom who has been there. She is doing rehab in the swing bed unit. Each and every person that has taken care of her, has went out of their way to make moms stay there better. Even when she was a bit difficult to work with. Stubborn you may say. This hospital has not been given the credit they deserve. I just wanted to share my experience and to say thank you to each and every staff member who has helped mom! I need to also add how clean this place is!!!!

Dr Nicholson, Jodi, Justin and the whole staff were top notch professionals. I felt respected and they addressed the multitude of silly questions that I had.
