Let me be clear: this review is about the housing program at Harbor Behavioral Health, not the counseling side.
This place is supposed to help people, but instead it feels like they’re just looking for any excuse to target you. I had a lot going on and tried to explain my situation, but they didn’t care. I was dismissed, ignored, and made to feel like I was constantly walking on eggshells.
I was terrified to go to any of the managers because I was afraid of being yelled at or judged. And that fear? Totally valid. They treat clients like liabilities, not people.
It got to the point where I had to block Harbor’s emails — not because I was avoiding them, but because they claimed they were afraid I might be phishing them. Then, somehow, their IT department accessed my personal computer and accused me of downloading “illegal content” — with no evidence, no explanation, just a write-up. They still haven’t told me what I supposedly did.
I was also falsely accused of carrying a THC vape — which is impossible for personal health reasons I won’t go into — and later accused of sending a phishing email just for sending my work schedule. Are you serious?
This whole system feels like a setup. You’re not supported — you’re surveilled. You’re not heard — you’re silenced. You’re not helped — you’re targeted. Although most of the staff are professional and supportive, there are certain individuals whose lack of empathy and follow-through undermine the overall quality of care.
I wouldn’t recommend Harbor’s housing program to anyone. No one deserves to be treated like this. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

This facility is the worst racist, unfair treatment to any and all black. They keep you isolated and treat you differently, the white clients are doing WHATEVER THEY WANT TO DO. I was discharged for no reason just told I had to leave. No second chance, no warning and no truth to the lies that other racist clients told the staff. An autistic resident claimed I was harassing her and later that day I was discharged. They look for any reason to target you if you are black. Bad experience no one should have to go through what I did at this rehabilitation facility.

Before Selah, I had several experiences at trauma centers that made me questioned if I ever wanted to get help or if my recovery was worth it.
I was admitted to Selah in Summer 2023 and 2024. I learned to advocated for myself and others. Shout out to nurse Mary Adkins and Kenzie, therapists Emily and Marice! Without them I would of left Selah. I was panicking, didn't feel heard and my dietian left for a different practice. There was so many changes that happened when I was there in 2024. But overall for me, what I gained from both experience was "trust" from the clinical staff at Selah. Trust the process. I have never had that before.
RC Chasey, Gwen and Stacie are amazing staff that genuinely care about the clients and their recovery.
So glad to hear recently therapist Emily is taking over Christian Programming. One of the reasons I looked more into Selah was faith programming. On Sundays, I always looked forward to church in residential and php.

As a family member of someone struggling with addiction, finding the right facility felt overwhelming and terrifying. Lumiere changed everything for us. From the very first phone call, the staff treated our loved one with compassion, dignity, and genuine care. They didn’t judge— they understood.
Watching the transformation that happened inside those walls was incredible. Lumiere didn’t just address the addiction; they helped rebuild hope. The staff made our family feel included and supported. They communicated with us, reassured us, and walked us through the hardest moments with patience and kindness.
What meant the most is that their support didn’t end when our loved one was discharged. They followed up, checked in, and continued offering encouragement and resources. You can tell they truly care about long-term recovery, not just the time spent in the facility.
Our family is so grateful for Lumiere.
