Eastway Corporation is a behavioral health and addiction treatment center in Dayton, Ohio. They operate about 24 behavioral health facilities across the state and help individuals address challenges like mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. The latter is when you’re simultaneously dealing with addiction and mental health issue | Treatments Programs Payment Options | If it wasn't for Eastway I would have been dead by now. I've been with them for 15 years. But their housing program is okay. I also like the fact that there's a pharmacy right there inside. I've been using Eastway's Pharmacy since they opened up. I definitely like that your meds can be delivered to your front door IF you have No Way of getting to the Eastway building. IF you have (a) prescription(s) that needs to be filled the same day you go in for an appointment with a Doctor they will have it filled by the time you're done with your appointment. I will Always recommend Eastway to someone that needs mental health and proper medications. I like the staff that works there. Everyone is very nice to you and they usually have a smile on their face. I try to get a laugh out of one of them and it usually works. As long as Eastway has their doors open I will continue to go there. The staff is wonderful. I'm glad that I have a case manager for longer than two years. My case manager now (and has been for 4 solid years.) She goes above and beyond the call of duty. (She's been there for about 20 years). She helps me go grocery shopping and soon to do laundry up the road. I Pray everyday that I don't lose the case manager I have now. I have pleasant feelings for Eastway. IF you get the chance to be a client at Eastway, remember that getting the right medication can take some time. It took them close to 13 years of trying different medications to get the right regimen that works for ME. I also like the fact that there's a Bus Stop right out front of the building. 😎🤗🤓💜✌️🤙👌💟☮️. I hope you can enjoy the care and staff there. Everyone there is a happy, pleasant person. I LOVE EASTWAY!!! The ONLY way I'll go somewhere else is IF they close their doors. My mother told me about Eastway and when I started the "Journey" there I had a sense of good things to come my way. The rollercoaster of emotions that I was going through finally ended when I became a client at Eastway. At first I didn't like it there because of TWO case managers they Always had a funky attitude towards me and dismissed the fact that I'm there for Mental Health. I'm getting treatment for my Bipolar Disorder. Looking back I'm Glad that I got help from them. IF I didn't make the first appointment to go there, I HIGHLY DOUBT I would be alive right now making this post. Eastway is the one facility that I recommend EVERYONE to go to for Mental Health. In my opinion and experience, Eastway is the place to go get help. Thank you Eastway for your help and this "journey" I'm on with y'all.

I have been at eastway for years excellent! Staff too work with great doctors.and I'm just not saying that just too be saying that it's true I've always been able too get my meds which is one of
the important reason too go to eastway other than the nurse staff and Doctors. If you need help I highly recommend eastway.ps I'm doing very well on my meds and help from my case manager. Remember everything doesn't go your way . But the Doctors know thier job. You just have too do your part also.

Medmark is a great option for outpatient treatment in Dayton. There is often little to no wait time to dose, which compared to other clinics in the area, is a superior benefit.
The majority of counselors and other staff are a step above. They tend to be more understanding, compassionate, down to earth and helpful than their peers in the field who are employed elsewhere. They go above and beyond for clients, making time for emergencies, questions, and requests.
The program overall doesn't require an exceptional amount of the client's life, with just one group or one on one required per month.
The location is convenient to get to, but the area tends to be pretty ghetto with a lot of "riff raff" in the parking lot.

The psychiatrist we found is a gem, who shares her professional advice after listening to our experiences and concerns. Dr. Kaitlyn Pollack is professional, understanding and friendly.
However, finding a therapist that you trust and respect is a process, because you likely will have to try a few before finding the right person to help you. We went through six therapists in six months at the Xenia location, because they shuffled us from one to another regardless of the fact that my daughter was there for help with *separation anxiety*.

I've been a client on and off for multiple years for Substance Use Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. I've always been pleased with the care I receive. I've participated in their IOP, PHP, After-care, individual therapy, and psychiatric programs. I've received medical help including the Vivitrol shot. The counselors are great (I've had at least seven different ones) and care about their clients. They are able to refer to higher levels of care if needed. They accept Caresource.
And, as always with mental health facilities, you usually get out of it what you put into it.

Just want to speak on my personal experience at Nova from last year. Even though I was mandated/forced to go by probation, I still had a fairly good time here. They take great care of everyone the best that they can. Food was always delicious and kept me full all day long. I gained almost 25 lbs here lol. Groups are from 7am-6pm if I remember it correctly, with several breaks in between for meals and ‘quiet hour’ where you can chose to sleep or work on anything else you need to get done. Meetings with your counselor once a week. New snack bag every week as well. If the weather is nice the techs take your unit on walks outside. Smoking is allowed, just no vapes. It’s honestly an amazing place to go if you don’t look at it in such a negative way, and are truly ready to get clean and want better for yourself. I don’t understand all the bad reviews! Mama Kat, Craig, and Alonzo were my favorite techs during my stay here. I forget my counselors name but he was pretty awesome too. Always came into his groups in the most optimistic moods, with a boombox playing music, or his Nintendo switch and we’d have a bowling tournament on certain days. Could never thank these four enough for the impact they had on my path to recovery! Thanks to all the other staff not mentioned as well!

I’m going to make a different kind of review for PC because I personally don’t go there but I know several people who have been in the program for many years & some who are still in the program.
Through those people I feel I can make a review especially since I’ve been familiar with it for over 15 years .
I have personally gotten to know people myself due to me knowing people going there awhile . I know some of these friendships outside of the program .
Some of the same People ride to PC together every morning on the days they go & this to has become a routine . They call to make sure each other is up & ready . They have even become friends with their driver who picks them up.
They acknowledge Birthdays , Christmas & sometimes even exchange small gifts because it’s “ the thought that counts.”
With the building closing on Daruma Pkwy , Clients have to chose between 2 other locations to go to which means people will not get to see their usual friends or the people they are use to seeing on a daily basis.
I seriously feel bad for everyone having to make that decision.
I believe part of rehabilitation is having someone to talk to, having a social life & being around others that you have known for years.
Not everyone will be able to go to the same location so it’s sad that they have to split up like they are .
I thought the bldg on Daruma was a great location & near the bus line as well.
Wishing everyone going through this change Good Luck .
