HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Skylight Recovery in Dayton, Ohio. From intake to departure, they exceeded every expectation I had as a mother navigating one of the most difficult times in our lives.
From the very beginning, the staff kept me informed every step of the way with my son’s approval, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. They guided both of us through the process with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care. They even arranged an Uber pickup for my son, which was extremely convenient and helped make the transition into treatment much less stressful. They handled the FMLA and short-term disability paperwork professionally and efficiently, and even worked directly with his HR department to ensure everything was communicated properly. That level of support removed so much stress during an already emotional time.
Christiana, the case manager, was absolutely amazing. She guided my son through the process, kept him informed, and reassured both of us that everything would be managed so we did not have to carry the burden alone. Her kindness, organization, and communication meant more than words can express.
Mike was also incredibly supportive. He worked directly with my son in a way that was compassionate, open-minded, and understanding. It was clear he truly listened and cared about his recovery journey.
And Kyle, I truly cannot say enough about this man. His support, compassion, and willingness to take the time to talk through concerns at any hour made such a difference for our family. He always made my son’s needs and best interests the priority, while also helping me feel supported and informed as a parent. The personal care and dedication he showed will never be forgotten.
My son also shared how comfortable and safe he felt throughout his stay. The staff made him feel welcomed and supported from day one. He enjoyed the walks, the variety of group sessions, and even commented that the food was very good. Knowing he felt secure, cared for, and genuinely comfortable meant everything to me as a parent.
I also want to specifically recognize Lorin, who was exceptional when working with insurance and managing the financial side of everything. She was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable, making a complicated process feel much more manageable for our family.
Kelsey also deserves special recognition for the weekly virtual family and friends sessions that are available both during treatment and aftercare. These sessions were incredibly valuable and supportive for families navigating recovery alongside their loved ones. She even took the time to meet with me directly, welcomed recommendations and feedback, and thoughtfully sent presentations whenever someone was unable to attend. Her dedication to supporting not just the individual in recovery, but also the family, truly stands out. I highly encourage families not to miss out on these sessions.
I would highly recommend Skylight Recovery to anyone struggling with addiction, or to any family member or friend trying to help someone they love. This facility treats people with dignity, compassion, and genuine care while providing the guidance and support needed for recovery. If you are looking for a place that truly puts people first, make Skylight Recovery your top choice.

I want to take a moment to give well-deserved recognition to two truly exceptional Resident Assistants: Brittany B. and Alicia.
Brittany, the Resident Assistance Supervisor, is simply outstanding. Her interpersonal skills with the clients are remarkable. She consistently puts the needs of the clients first, often disregarding her own comfort or schedule to help someone through a tough situation. Her compassion for this work runs deep, and she goes above and beyond on a daily basis. Brittany is a complete asset to Woodhaven P.H.P., and the program is incredibly fortunate to have her. I truly wish there were more people like her in this field.
Alicia is equally phenomenal in her own way. She is incredibly thorough and professional in everything she does. From the moment a new resident arrives from the detox unit, Alicia makes them feel genuinely welcome with her warm smile and caring attitude. She takes the time to properly orient them to their new home and helps them settle in with patience and kindness. There is not a single day that goes by where I don’t see Alicia smiling — her positive energy is truly uplifting and consistent.
Both Brittany and Alicia played a significant role in my recovery journey. Their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care made a real difference in my life. I honestly don’t know how they manage to do their jobs so well day after day, especially with the challenges that come with this work. They seem perfectly suited for the positions they hold — it’s almost as if they were assigned by God Himself for this important work.
Woodhaven P.H.P. is blessed to have such compassionate, hardworking, and skilled Resident Assistants. Thank you both for everything you do. You are truly making a difference

It's hit or miss.
The psychiatrist we found is a gem, who shares her professional advice after listening to our experiences and concerns. Dr. Kaitlyn Pollack is professional, understanding and friendly.
However, finding a therapist that you trust and respect is a process, because you likely will have to try a few before finding the right person to help you. We went through six therapists in six months at the Xenia location, because they shuffled us from one to another regardless of the fact that my daughter was there for help with *separation anxiety*.

I've been a client on and off for multiple years for Substance Use Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. I've always been pleased with the care I receive. I've participated in their IOP, PHP, After-care, individual therapy, and psychiatric programs. I've received medical help including the Vivitrol shot. The counselors are great (I've had at least seven different ones) and care about their clients. They are able to refer to higher levels of care if needed. They accept Caresource.
And, as always with mental health facilities, you usually get out of it what you put into it.

Reading these reviews is crazy MVR is the absolute best place you can go to for recovery if you truly want to recover. EVERY person working there is amazing and will help you with anything they can. Sad to see Brittany go she was a great counselor. I’ve read the few negative reviews and without question can tell you they aren’t true. I was one of their first clients and they definitely worked with my work schedule and whatever else i had come up in life. Honestly no bs there isn’t a single thing i can say bad about them at all. I’m going to make a different kind of review for PC because I personally don’t go there but I know several people who have been in the program for many years & some who are still in the program.
Through those people I feel I can make a review especially since I’ve been familiar with it for over 15 years .
I have personally gotten to know people myself due to me knowing people going there awhile . I know some of these friendships outside of the program .
Some of the same People ride to PC together every morning on the days they go & this to has become a routine . They call to make sure each other is up & ready . They have even become friends with their driver who picks them up.
They acknowledge Birthdays , Christmas & sometimes even exchange small gifts because it’s “ the thought that counts.”
With the building closing on Daruma Pkwy , Clients have to chose between 2 other locations to go to which means people will not get to see their usual friends or the people they are use to seeing on a daily basis.
I seriously feel bad for everyone having to make that decision.
I believe part of rehabilitation is having someone to talk to, having a social life & being around others that you have known for years.
Not everyone will be able to go to the same location so it’s sad that they have to split up like they are .
I thought the bldg on Daruma was a great location & near the bus line as well.
Wishing everyone going through this change Good Luck .
