I used services here to get through a rough couple years, counseling and medical. Their doctor has a good grasp on new techniques with old knowledge. He was the first mental health professional to get me to take a DNA test to start trying medication rather than throwing a dart at a board. My counselor was incredible, she gave me such perspective and validation to really take doable steps until I could deep dive to find more permanent habits. Yes they have a very busy overworked front office staff, some days are more obvious than others. When you realize these professionals are there helping a ton of people that don't always want the help, you see the dedication. Give the staff a break and maybe a thank you to help them find some strength that day too.

Flat out there is some amazing people here. They ensure families actively engage with all of their children. They want to see you be successful. They compliment parents. Take into consideration that their job is to ensure you improve your skills. Every parent has room for improvement. Have an open mind to constructive improvement. I love the ladies that work here. They have seen you at a very tough time in your life. They see you and give compliments. If you do not like it here ,maybe it is because you are not taking their advice. It is part of their job. Reality is there is not a perfect parent out there. Some of the bad reviews with this place I believe is that maybe they were not putting forth the effort. Possibly people need to stop living their life on defense. These ladies and a few men really care about their families. It is not easy for them to watch the kids hearts melt. If you are a client then realize this is your kids time. This is not for you. Yes, it is so you can bond with your child. Please let your child leave your emotions at the door. That time is important for your child. Engage as much as possible and compliment your kids. You can do it. I promise you got this. It is so important to show up. If you do anything on the Case plan the most important part is to be there for your kids. They notice when you do not show up. Please do not take this part of the case lightly. Whatever you have going on outside of visitation do not bring it here. These people tri their best. Your family can and will get through this. Keep an open mind, be respectful, and engage.

Dalton Osgood
Update: 526 days sober and going strong. I have definitely had cravings and vulnerable points, but have managed to stay sober thanks in large part to the ridge. I'm at 8 months sober today and can say that the things I learned at the Ridge still help me every day- literally. I am still in the aftercare program and getting a lot out of it. If you need help this is a great place to build a foundation for sobriety (and abstinence from other drugs as well). Summary: The Ridge is an excellent comprehensive treatment program for alcohol use disorder (and others). I personally had an exceptional experience with the residential treatment program, intensive outpatient therapy, and aftercare. Nothing about this experience was easy but I am confident that due to my experience with The Ridge I have a solid recovery foundation (I am just over 4 months sober currently). This review focuses on residential care Highlights -well developed program that is evidence based -full days -attendance at local 12 step meetings -access to a wide variety of recreational activities and art and music therapy classes -I felt prepared when I left and have continued to feel that way (it has been difficult but I have the tools) -staff are compassionate and helpful; many are in recovery themselves - peer support - comfortable accomodations and excellent food My advice if you are going to a program like The Ridge (these things helped me to have continued success today) -follow the rules, yes they may seem silly -do awkward things they ask like getting a temporary sponsor and numbers at meetings -listen to their advice, they may says things that sound stupid,my experience is that the things I think sound stupid end up being the pertinent ones -try to relax into the time; enjoy not having to do a ton of chores, cook for yourself etc -take the time to build a new hobby I electected to go to The Ridge when I came to terms with the fact that I have an alcohol use disorder. I was receiving psychiatric care and my provider gently led me to acknowledge this. Two providers independently recommended The Ridge when I expressed interest in treatment. Residential I initially signed up for the 30 day program but decided to stay longer as I was getting a lot out of the program and am really happy that I did. Residential days are very full. The beginning of the day is filled with groups. The afternoon has time for recreational activities (no naps). A lot of people take up pickleball during this time but there is also the option to go to the pool (when open), do art, write, etc. Evenings there are 12 step meetings in the community. Accomodations I stayed in a private room which I would say was Marrott quality. Cleaning services are provided. You are expected to make your bed (a pretty minor thing). The meals are excellent and snacks are freely available. The culinary staff are great- very personable and great educators. It was sufficiently comfortable and quiet enough to get quality sleep. Nursing Nursing staff were generally available and very helpful. Medication time windows could be a bit tight but were feasible. Recovery support specialist staff Recovery support specialists helped with sessions, daily questions, and herding everyone, They all have different personalities but in general were very easy to get along with. Supervisory staff were very helpful and responsive. Counselors Generally had very helpful sessions, individual counseling was very helpful.

As a family member of someone struggling with addiction, finding the right facility felt overwhelming and terrifying. Lumiere changed everything for us. From the very first phone call, the staff treated our loved one with compassion, dignity, and genuine care. They didn’t judge— they understood. Watching the transformation that happened inside those walls was incredible. Lumiere didn’t just address the addiction; they helped rebuild hope. The staff made our family feel included and supported. They communicated with us, reassured us, and walked us through the hardest moments with patience and kindness. What meant the most is that their support didn’t end when our loved one was discharged. They followed up, checked in, and continued offering encouragement and resources. You can tell they truly care about long-term recovery, not just the time spent in the facility. Our family is so grateful for Lumiere.

I went through Prospect House as a client in 2012, and it was the first place where I was able to begin connecting the dots about what was going on inside of me. That experience became foundational — not just for my recovery, but for the direction my life ultimately took. I later built a career in behavioral health, and I often say I learned more during my time at Prospect House than in all my years of schooling. That’s not meant to diminish my education — it was valuable in its own right — but the insight and growth I gained there were unmatched. I wasn’t ready when I arrived, but they helped me become ready. I’m deeply grateful for the role they played in my journey.

My husband attended Cedar Oaks in May of 2024 and we had the absolute best experience with the facility and staff! I thought there was no hope in him recovering from his alcoholism and now he has over a year sober! Literally from the first phone call I knew this was going to be good for not only him but for our family. They provided such great insight into the addiction process because this isn’t something I’d ever thought I’d experience as a partner and even offered family therapy sessions which I attended via phone as we are out of state. My husband is not the same man I watched get on the plane to treatment and I truly owe that to Cedar Oaks.

I can’t say enough about CAT! The simple facts are that this place and all of the kind souls who make it operate have helped me through the darkest times of my life. With a host of resources I was not only able to work on my recovery, court services worked by my side every step of the way to resolve my legal obligations as well. Recovery is a challenge no doubt, However! I wholeheartedly believe that if not for said people I would not be nowhere close to where I am today and for that I’m eternally grateful. Thank you all

This is the best clinic I have been to so far and I've been in treatment for over 10 years. Highly recommend this place to anyone look to start. The dr and counselors are very nice and willing to help you with your problems and really care. I switched because they offer split dosing because I was getting sick later in the day and all the other place didn't want to help but it is really going to be a big improvement for me.
