The psychiatrist we found is a gem, who shares her professional advice after listening to our experiences and concerns. Dr. Kaitlyn Pollack is professional, understanding and friendly. However, finding a therapist that you trust and respect is a process, because you likely will have to try a few before finding the right person to help you. We went through six therapists in six months at the Xenia location, because they shuffled us from one to another regardless of the fact that my daughter was there for help with separation anxiety. I first reached out because my son was struggling with a fentanyl addiction and had finally told me that he wanted help. As a mother, I was scared, overwhelmed, and didn’t know where to turn. I called DeCoach and left a message. Within five minutes, Ericka reached back out to me. From that very first conversation, she was professional, compassionate, kind, and understanding. Most importantly, she gave me hope during one of the darkest and most frightening times our family has ever experienced. This has been a nearly six-month journey. There were many ups and downs, and at one point my son decided to try to detox on his own. Even during that time, Ericka didn’t forget about us. She would periodically check in with me, asking how I was doing and how things were going. She didn’t have to do that, but she did. She listened to me when I needed someone to talk to, answered my questions, encouraged me when I felt hopeless, and helped guide me through a process that I knew very little about. She stayed with me through this journey when she could have simply moved on to the next person. With Ericka’s help, we finally got my son into detox. I honestly don’t believe I could have navigated this journey the way I did without her support and guidance. Ericka didn’t just help my son—she helped our entire family. Addiction affects everyone who loves the person struggling, and she understood that. She treated me with compassion and never made me feel like I was bothering her or asking too much. William Sears 1 month ago Brightview has been my recovery home for six years now, and out of all the places I have received treatment, its by far the best. I started going there because someone told me they dont care about THC. This is true, they're chill about it. But I stayed because a) it actually felt like a doctor's office, instead of an apartment or house that had been rented to use as a treatment facility, and b) i felt and still feel like im actually cared for; they aren't just after my insurance claim. Last year I would have rated five stars. However, a change made last year has really stuck in my craw and upset me, and despite the feedback they've received from me and countless others, it's yet to be rolled back. Used to be, if you needed to speak to someone to find out what time your appt is, or get a message to your care team, you could call 24/7. NOW, only new patients can call and receive assistance after business hours. They contract their calls out to people who work from home, and they no longer have access to existing patient records after business hours. Maybe it's the industry standard, I wouldn't know. But it was and is still very disheartening, for people who work odd hours or sleep a lot due to depression 🙋‍♀️and cant always call during business hours. That's the ONLY reason I'm not giving 5*. I'm a patient at the Centerville office, and my girls there are truly like family to me. I've had several different doctors but its nothing like other facilities, with their revolving door of staff coming in and barely getting settled before theyre gone again. I got placed with a counselor who's been with brightview over 10 years, because i was tired of telling my life story over and over. I realized I had gotten everything I could out of a group setting, and they put me in a ghost group so I don't have to attend one anymore. Susan, my provider, is literally like the mom I always dreamed of having. She's so good at her job and she makes sure you know how much she cares for you. One last thing, since i know who is most likely reading these reviews. if youre on suboxone and tired of being ruled by a daily dose, consider the sublocade shot. They got me on it hwre. I was terrified because the withdrawal has always been so bad. With sublocade there was ZERO withdrawal as I made the switch, and ZERO withdrawal when tapering off. I also like the fact that there's a pharmacy right there inside. I've been using Eastway's Pharmacy since they opened up. I definitely like that your meds can be delivered to your front door IF you have No Way of getting to the Eastway building. IF you have (a) prescription(s) that needs to be filled the same day you go in for an appointment with a Doctor they will have it filled by the time you're done with your appointment. I will Always recommend Eastway to someone that needs mental health and proper medications. I like the staff that works there. Everyone is very nice to you and they usually have a smile on their face. I try to get a laugh out of one of them and it usually works. As long as Eastway has their doors open I will continue to go there. The staff is wonderful. I'm glad that I have a case manager for longer than two years. My case manager now (and has been for 4 solid years.) She goes above and beyond the call of duty. (She's been there for about 20 years). She helps me go grocery shopping and soon to do laundry up the road. I Pray everyday that I don't lose the case manager I have now. I have pleasant feelings for Eastway. IF you get the chance to be a client at Eastway, remember that getting the right medication can take some time. It took them close to 13 years of trying different medications to get the right regimen that works for ME. I also like the fact that there's a Bus Stop right out front of the building. 😎🤗🤓💜✌️🤙👌💟☮️. I hope you can enjoy the care and staff there. Everyone there is a happy, pleasant person. I LOVE EASTWAY!!! The ONLY way I'll go somewhere else is IF they close their doors. My mother told me about Eastway and when I started the "Journey" there I had a sense of good things to come my way. The rollercoaster of emotions that I was going through finally ended when I became a client at Eastway. At first I didn't like it there because of TWO case managers they Always had a funky attitude towards me and dismissed the fact that I'm there for Mental Health. I'm getting treatment for my Bipolar Disorder. Looking back I'm Glad that I got help from them. IF I didn't make the first appointment to go there, I HIGHLY DOUBT I would be alive right now making this post. Eastway is the one facility that I recommend EVERYONE to go to for Mental Health. I have been using this facility for a year now and its been nothing but a positive experience. Staff and doctors have been helpful, understanding, and have provided top notch care. This facility provides care for everything possible and if they cant fit you in they will refer you out to community care. Only negative thing I can say is after the new system was in place messaging has become a little less effective. Hopefully that will get better after everyone gets better using it. IF you have (a) prescription(s) that needs to be filled the same day you go in for an appointment with a Doctor they will have it filled by the time you're done with your appointment. Everyone is very nice to you and they usually have a smile on their face. I try to get a laugh out of one of them and it usually works. As long as Eastway has their doors open I will continue to go there. The staff is wonderful. I'm glad that I have a case manager for longer than two years. My case manager now (and has been for 4 solid years.) She goes above and beyond the call of duty. (She's been there for about 20 years). She helps me go grocery shopping and soon to do laundry up the road. I Pray everyday that I don't lose the case manager I have now. I have pleasant feelings for Eastway. IF you get the chance to be a client at Eastway, remember that getting the right medication can take some time. It took them close to 13 years of trying different medications to get the right regimen that works for ME. I also like the fact that there's a Bus Stop right out front of the building. 😎🤗🤓💜✌️🤙👌💟☮️. Harry 2 years ago I’m going to make a different kind of review for PC because I personally don’t go there but I know several people who have been in the program for many years & some who are still in the program. Through those people I feel I can make a review especially since I’ve been familiar with it for over 15 years . I have personally gotten to know people myself due to me knowing people going there awhile . I know some of these friendships outside of the program . Some of the same People ride to PC together every morning on the days they go & this to has become a routine . They call to make sure each other is up & ready . They have even become friends with their driver who picks them up. They acknowledge Birthdays , Christmas & sometimes even exchange small gifts because it’s “ the thought that counts.” With the building closing on Daruma Pkwy , Clients have to chose between 2 other locations to go to which means people will not get to see their usual friends or the people they are use to seeing on a daily basis. I seriously feel bad for everyone having to make that decision. I believe part of rehabilitation is having someone to talk to, having a social life & being around others that you have known for years.
