My experience at Steps to Recovery has been great for the most part, the people and the environment are very welcoming and comforting. I have had some issues that have come up, but they usually get resolved. My only main gripe is with some of the other clients at the community living house fail to clean up after themselves, and some do not know self control. But, the staff here is very professional and easy to talk to. I find that the opportunities here for my recovery journey are pretty good, although I'd like access to more holistic therapy resources. I've actually personally facilitated a Dharma meeting and will facilitate more in the future. I appreciate my time here at STR and am excited for the future with them.

Things have sure been crazy for me. This battle against addiction Has reared It's ugly horns at me several times and unfortunately I fell weak and had to call my friends at avenues again. I am so grateful to have this family to go to in my lowest and most struggling times. I appreciate everyone who makes the effort to help me realize im worth so much more than i offer myself. This time after making the call I struggled to accept a ride to avenues. All I wanted was for someone who cared about me to reach out... If it weren't for Tyler from lake Ariel PA Avenues I'm not sure what I'd be doing right now. She gave me The courage to accept the ride and get in there and get help. Without her I wouldn't have gone. This I know!! I heard the same Exact thing, from so many people I was in the facility with....... Tyler@avenues Thank you for caring and your profound impact in my life, others lives and in the facility at lake Ariel. ❤️

I love this place so much. They helped me so darn much. I love all the staff there especially Tyler and Bria. I miss sitting in the lobby and joking around. I miss how they hold me accountable and want the best for me. They truly do want the best for you here. The fact they love you till you love yourself is very important in my recovery. I love the therapist there and I love when I would annoy and joke with the staff. Tried to make the environment there fun and happy but also serious at times. Thank you guys so much for helping me become a better version than when I came in. Love yous all

Simply an awesome caring facility. The staff gives 100 percent and then some! They display a true genuine concern for those in their care. Communication is exceptional! My son has been in many facilities over the years and Provive Welles is the best place that he has been in and made the most progress. Everyone that I’ve communicated with was phenomenal. However, the majority of my communications were with Megan, Emily and David. I must give them special recognition for my sincerest appreciation. I’ve been with Provive for about a month or so now. I was having urges to drink myself into a blackout state. Been this way for about a week….I mentioned it in front of the house manager and nothing happened. Today was the worst of my urges. Megan had reached out to check on me and she was able to help me through without relapsing…. Thank you, Megan for all your help!!

Clearbrook Adminstration and Staff are top notch and care about their clients journey to recovery. Clearbrook case workers and aftercare staff are top notch in meeting employment issues such as contacting employers in getting FMLA and Disability leave approved and setting up aftercare upon leaving Clearbrook. Clearbrook' s kitchen staff was kind, curteous and accomadating with several options to choose from. Food was great! The pharmacy that the nursing department utilizes is very difficult to work with in getting meds. There was always a problem when getting meds whether it be payment, delivery or insurance issues. So Clearbrook started a Mental Health program so it was a little difficult dealing with MH clients disruptions and distraction during my stay.

St. Joes is an absolute paradise! Such a beautiful place to go and work on yourself. The staff are amazing and the treatment is so productive. They're pulling strings you may not realize to help you!! Thanks to St. Joes I've found me again. He was lost for a long time in the fog of a deep depression, masking that with substance use, I thought he was gone forever. Thank you guys so much for an opportunity to live again, not just exist. If you are struggling and need help, give them a call. They will pick you up and mark will call you everyday until they do to ask how you are doing! RCA was the best decision I made to start my recovery journey!!! When I went there I didn't know what to expect being as though I heard so many horror stories about recovery centers. To my surprise the center was very welcoming, clean, and comfortable, and the food was great. The staff was excellent and most of the patients were great and made me feel like I was not alone. I learned a lot of skills to help with my sobriety, when I was discharged I knew I was ready to continue my journey with confidence and knowledge. My advice to anyone looking to recover is no matter how you show up to RCA if you listen, learn, and use the tools that you are given your recovery journey will be a success!😀🫶🏾🙏🏾

I cannot say enough about the quality of care I received while at RCA Devon. The staff members, especially the RSS member, always took the time to check on me and no matter how I was feeling their efforts ALWAYS caused me to feel better both mentally and physically.I have never felt so accepted and respected as a person ,and even though I felt I was not worthy at times the personal attention helped me to realize how wrong My thinking had been .I especially would like to say Thank you to Laura C,and to Chris ,both on the RSS team ,and also to Chris ,a therapist, who through his care and attention to me ,even ,though he wasn't my therapist, has inspired me to want to become an addiction recovery therapist myself. My hope for the future is that I may also help others in the ways that I was helped through RCA Devon .Thank you ALL very much for everything .You have helped me to see the sunshine again even on the darkest days . I also want to give a shout out to AJ, Ed ,and Sarah who helped me feel like I was family rather than a patient .Today I have hope and have started to become inspired for the first time in so very many years.GOD bless you all .

Today I helped a Vietnam era veteran. Remember as a veteran sometimes we struggle. When you see a service person in need of help, do what the Lord installed in your heart love of one another. The gentleman was in need. I would encourage anyone whether you're a veteran or not. Help the elderly. My suggestion would be to take an index card and put the person's first name only, last four if you're a veteran and POC. Place this in a plastic bag and safety pin it to the person in some form or fashion. This would eliminate hours of wasted time helping people to connect with loved ones. Let them know the Lord brought you to them out of love because he first loved us. One other advice if you're helping someone and you have to walk away give them something of yours to assure them you will return. A small act of kindness goes a long way. The Lord sees all and never forgets. Lose the attitude of someone not being your race. When you served you should NEVER see race. Remember that. You don't know who may be near you to save your life. We leave no one behind. Amen UPDATE October 20, 2025*** Thank you so much for fitting me in your schedule with Radiology. Thank you for all you do for Veterans....Plus ten Stars 💓 I want to thank the gentleman who carried my purse while I walked your walker. I believe we both loved the small acts of kindness. Have a blessed day.

I've updated this review because I traced the issue down to the VBA as being the ones sending my SSN over the mail. They use it as my File# usually appearing right under my name. I requested it be left out of mailings to me, or not to include the whole #. I never registered with the VA after retiring in 2011 because a lot of bad things were on the News back then having to do with the poor service provided to veterans. However, this year I decided to register and I'm happy so far. The only thing I'm not happy with is that the VA back in 2011 and still to this day continuously sends all correspondence to me with my full name and full social security number. Like doesn't the VA know this is a big no no? Thanks for sharing my PII information with whomever receives any of my lost mail. And everyone knows nowadays that pieces of mail get lost a lot. The VA is a government agency, don't you all go through PII information safeguarding training? Like wow and this is why I couldn't give the VA a 5 star because apparently training is needed on safeguarding a veteran's personal identifiable information. Fix this issue or give veterans an option to receive all correspondence via e-mail versus snail mail.

I implore you to find a more intimate and personalized treatment facility! Especially with the additions of Narrative Based Interviewing and Celebrate Recovery to the curriculum, one can expect a much higher sucess percentage upon discharge. Every single staf member at Silver pines legitimately cares about the experience each and every client has with the facility. It certainly shows. I strongly suggest rocking with Eddy in the narrative based interviewing as research is indictating a 100% success rate if practiced every day. This practice is not only changing how we treat substamce use disorder and mental illeness , but also will be instrumental in creating a global shift to bring people back to the power of the moment and realize the endless possibilities with being the most active participant within the unfoldment of their lives. I assure you this will change the world. God is great and Silver pines treatment facility is almost heaven on earth. If you or a family member are struggling. Call them. They care. And it shows . If you're anything like me , you probably dont have much else to lose, so go and fix you. Give yourself another chance .

What’s going on? Also once there ,they) Siver Pines) wanted out of pocket money(cash,Cc card) they never asked for that upfront either time. They even checked recorded call. I was on the psych unit for a few days and the staff was always attentive and compassionate with me while I was struggling. The one staff member, Logan, gave a really great group about depression and he helped me feel comforted when I was feeling really bad about certain things. Alex helped me feel understood and I could relate to him, he never made me feel like I was left out or awkward. I didn't get the other two RN's names (horrible memory) but they always came in a pair and whenever I saw them, I instantly felt at home and relaxed. Incredible staff who genuinely care about what you're struggling with and help with accomodations for your needs. (The one RN gave me fidget toys because I needed a distraction and they're still in my pocket everywhere I go) Thank you so much to the amazing staff and doctors who treated me while I was there, every single person on the 5th floor unit was incredible in their own ways, extremely grateful I got to work with such a terrific team!

My father was in the ICU this past February. The staff was great! Our nurse, Dan, was so kind and helpful. He even comforted me when I broke down when we finally made the decision to take dad off life support. It's not often you find a staff member that cares as much as he did. His kindness was much appreciated. The doctor was very informative and explained my father's condition in terms we could understand to help us make decisions about his care. While dad was in the ICU, his wife was also admitted on the 7 tn floor, she has dementia and dad was her care giver. So they took care of her while we tried to figure out where she could go after dad passed. My 95yo grandmother was also admitted at the same time on the 6th floor. Every staff member we dealt with was amazing. From the nurses to doctors to the clergy. When my dad passed they didn't rush us out. Let us take our time to say goodbye and grieve. That was so appreciated. Highly recommend this hospital.

SUPER GREAT PROGRAM AND I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. Really nice PHP and IOP. Nice to have a long term program for if you want/need it. Staff all really truly care it seems. Only thing is their transparency. The program is a MINIMUM OF 90 DAYS AND A FULL COMPLETION IS 6 MONTHS. And they have blackout periods for everything it seems. They also said things they weren't specific about, kind of like skirting around details, and straight up lied about the length of stay and passes. So I'll never forget that. But still lots of great things there and things they do. AND STILL A GREAT PROGRAM AND I HIGHLY RECCOMEND.

Best rehab I’ve ever been too….all the techs there are great second and third shift and most of them are in recovery… there were many times I felt like I wasn’t going to make it when I left there and couldn’t sleep at night and tech Michaela on 3rd shift was always super helpful sharing her story with people…. I was able to relate to her so much because we have all been through similar things and I appreciate her talking to me all night and helping me whenever I needed it she really goes out of her way and isn’t there just for the money!! It really helped me stay sober shout out to Michaela!! Best tech on night shift

The staff and place are equally beautiful. The good hearted people always checked on my personal needs multiple times a day. The staff becomes your family. A staff member named Eric one night at 3am talked with me telling me his inspirational story and it helped me to feel better and keep going myself. The food is always good. Friday is all you can eat wings!!! This place helped me to love myself and recover who I am as a man not just from addiction. Living alone is something I will never do again because of going to Huntington creek isolation can’t exist. I have friends and family in the staff and community I was part of. Thank you

I was only there for a day due to circumstances with my partner and his job with our dogs but what an incredible 20 hour experience. The nursing staff were caring, the population friendly, and the food was great. Top notch place for sure.

Great facility. Has it's own quirks just like any other facility but definitely worth it if you need a place to get well. Not your normals curriculum. Doesn't just shove the big book in your face and I truly appreciate that aspect. The therapy, wholistic approach is what I loved about it. As well as, a place where you want the numbers of your fellow clients when you leave. Give it a shot and stay rooted.

Where do I begin? Not only was this my first-ever rehabilitation experience, but it was also the most eye-opening experience I have ever had. I was uncertain about what to expect and, ultimately, I made the best decision possible. The staff, whom I refer to as specialists, made me feel immediately at home, and my counselor, Mike, went above and beyond in his duties. The facility offers numerous perks, including exceptional cuisine, impeccable grounds, and a spectacular overall atmosphere. I must note that the nurses are exceedingly polite and attentive to their patients' needs, although I did find it somewhat disappointing that doctor visits were limited to only once. Personally, I did not experience any significant issues during my stay, aside from one supervisor who, I discovered, was not particularly friendly to either patients or staff. One of the highlights of the facility is the presence of Monarch butterflies, which are hatched on-site. Deb, one of the specialists, consistently displayed a warm and welcoming smile that brightened everyone's day. Marworth offers a wide range of activities to keep patients engaged, as well as tailored treatment plans for individuals requiring additional support. I commend the facility on its outstanding work.

I went to Marworth for the first time after relapsing after about 5 years sober. When I went there I was a wildly unpleasant person to be around. I hated the world and myself. I was truly terrible to most of the staff. My behavior was argumentative, smug and mean at best. They still welcomed me back 3 more times. I was eventually given Amy as my primary counselor and, she not only took the time to try and understand why I was like that but, she also challenged me to be better. Over my time there I had the chance to get to know the staff very well. They're good people. Who genuinely want to help people get to the life they're meant to have. The specialists, rec team, cafeteria workers, house keeping, security(the list goes on and on)are wonderful. That's what makes Marworth great. It's not the amenities. It's not the rock climbing wall, gym, cafeteria, or anything else you can think of. It's the people that make this place what it is. Is it perfect? Absolutely not, but nothing is. When I went in there looking for all the things that bothered me, I got nothing out of it. When I allowed them to help me, I got everything out of it.

Twenty years ago, I went through a crisis involving addiction that had catastrophic implications for my family. While my loved one was at a nationally acclaimed residential treatment program, and I had confidence he was getting the help he needed, I felt lost, alone, left out, ignored, and in the dark. I had almost no communication with my loved one or his therapists. I remember going to an in-person educational seminar at the facility, where we learned about addiction, but had no personalized information about our person or situation. Now I’m walking this journey with my daughter, whose loved one is in residential treatment at DreamLife. At intake, she was given a packet of information that included links to family sessions that were held over Zoom six times a week for a total of 10+ hours! We both jumped in the first week, and even in the early days of this crisis, when we were emotionally reeling, we felt seen, known, informed, cared about, communicated with, and supported. Some classes are led by a recovered addict, who gives us an understanding of what life is like for an addict, how they think, and what their early recovery journey will look like, including how they might push buttons or manipulate their family members in ways that are counterproductive to their recovery. Others are led by the mother of an addict, who sensitively helps families understand the emotions and situations that we are thrust into, and how our well-intentioned efforts might sabotage their progress. Both have the objective of helping us to understand how our behavior contributes to enabling addiction, and to give us the skills and knowledge that will strengthen our resolve and ability to be healthy ourselves, and stop being naive participants in the circus of addiction. The family program at DreamLife is remarkable. The instructors are knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate when lecturing, and attentive, compassionate, kind, and wise when applying the principles to individual questions and situations presented by family members. The classes have a rotating ‘membership’ as there is always a mix of people who have just arrived and people whose loved ones are ready to come home or move to the next step in treatment. This creates a dynamic much like an Al Anon meeting, where we all benefit from hearing the facilitator talk about a particular client’s situation with their family, as well as learning insights from each other as family members jump in to share their own experiences. It also gives a very real sense that we are not alone, and even though we may never meet any of our fellow participants in the Zoom sessions in real life, we feel seen and supported by them. If you have a loved one at DreamLife and you have not taken advantage of the Family Sessions, then you are missing out. Anyone who loves an addict who is or has been at DreamLife is welcome. My daughter is learning how to live with her loved one in a way that supports his recovery and acknowledges that she has her own recovery journey, too. Living thousands of miles away, I am learning how to support my daughter. Without the opportunity to attend, I might feel helpless, and I would be ignorant about the disease of addiction and what it takes to commit to recovery. I might feel angry, rather than compassionate, as the behaviors that can look like willful, selfish, moral failures are actually symptoms of a neurologic disease that overrides the ability to live a deliberate, purposeful life. It appears that very few of the residents have a family member attending the sessions that we have found invaluable. This is such a lost opportunity to learn about addiction and to be informed about the progress of your loved one as they engage in recovery. Please consider this an invitation from someone like you, with nothing to gain. You will benefit, and we all will benefit from your participation. Thank you, DreamLife, for pioneering ways to include and equip families of your primary clients. It is a gift. And no matter how our journey unfolds, my family is grateful.

My loved one is currently in residential treatment at DreamLife Recovery in Donegal. As a family member, I give DreamLife five stars for their family programming sessions run by Curtis Rogers and Robin Miller over Zoom. These classes have been critical to my own parallel journey as I learn more about how to effectively support my loved one without enabling the addiction. I've developed new skills for how to recognize manipulation, set boundaries, and "wear my own hat". These classes have empowered me with the wisdom to recognize what is and is not in my control and the courage to make hard choices that are in the best interest of me and my loved one. Addiction is a family disease and it affects everyone touched by it. Because of the nature of the disease, it is often the family members and loved ones who need to change first in order for the addict to change themselves. I highly recommend that anyone with a loved one at DreamLife to prioritize attending as many of the classes as they can. The time commitment is worth it and you will learn so much.
