I recently started therapy sessions here as well as having my first medication management appointment just the other day. I do see Joy for therapy and feel extremely comfortable sharing with her which I’ve had a hard time doing in the past. I’m excited to work on my goals and continue working with Joy, I am so happy I have had the opportunity to meet with her. She really listens and has such a calming and kind presence about her, thank you so much Joy You are amazing ! And I had my medicine appointment with Barbara and she was also very kind , actually listened to you and your concerns, she definitely cares about her patients and that can be rare to find .. I appreciate you both and as well as the extremely kind and attentive front desk. I’m very happy with my experiences so far !

Great place to Jumpstart your recovery. From Detox to Residential, I felt valued here. The staff, the nurses, and the counselors are supportive and truly want to help you get on the right path to recovery. Even the patients are high-quality and serious about getting better. The groups are well planned and tackle important areas like relapse prevention, coping skills, conflict patterns and so much more information pertinent to long term recovery. They even have acupuncture if you're interested in holistic healing! For anyone who desires a safe place to grow and combat their substance abuse all in effort to lead a clean, happy, sober life, I would recommend Adcare Rhode Island. I would give this place 5 stars if they had more tea options and hot water mode on the water machine! Seriously, if you're struggling with the disease of addiction and wondering if it's time to check yourself into Rehab, don't hesitate to pick up the phone and call Adcare Rhode Island! I promise you won't regret it. Sincerely, Honey (recovering alcoholic)

My Journey at Women’s Starlight I stayed at the Starlight Women’s Program for 107 days, and it has truly been an amazing experience. From the very beginning, I made a commitment to stay motivated and focused on my recovery. I took the opportunity to really learn about myself and this disease. It wasn’t easy — but it was worth it. When I first arrived, I felt so defeated and hopeless. I knew deep down that if I didn’t fully commit to my sobriety, I would end up right back in treatment, repeating the same vicious cycle. Today, I can proudly say I have 119 days sober! None of this would have been possible without God, the staff, and the amazing women I met here. Through this program, I have discovered who I truly am without alcohol and drugs. I have learned to accept myself — and, most importantly, to love myself. Here, I heard laughter that I hadn’t heard in over 30 years, and it felt incredible. I will never forget the women who walked this journey with me. I especially want to shout out Shorey, a woman I deeply admire. She took the time to listen when I really needed it. She always kept it real and raw — exactly what I needed — Her genuineness and authenticity speaks volumes. To Teresa, an extraordinary woman who wears her heart on her sleeve: thank you for holding me accountable and for truly understanding my struggles. I didn’t realize how much I needed your support until I experienced it. I am forever grateful. God bless everyone who has been a part of this journey. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart

To RIATC, The PHP and IOP programs at RIATC provide excellent, evidence-based treatment across multiple modalities and I found that it was quite helpful, which includes treatment of substance use and mental health diagnoses. The feeling is warm and welcoming and includes multiple layers of client centered treatment (e.g., one on one therapy, medication management, group therapy, etc.). I felt that the groups were both supportive and inclusive, with a comfort that allows for transparency and vulnerability across group members. In fact, multiple group members had reported a feeling of comfort and healthy support during the groups; something they don't often experience elsewhere. In addition, the programs are open to suggestions and feedback from clients and staff do put in effort to adapt accordingly and ensure client centered care. Furthermore, RIATC works with clients to identify root causes driving substance use, something that is necessary throughout the process of recovery and stabilization of mental health symptoms. Overall, RIATC is an effective program for anyone struggling with substance use and/or mental health and I would highly recommend it. Thank you.

I have had the honor of being accepted into the program, the class and meeting are well put together, they do have the skills you need to be successful in your recovery, you just need to be completely focused on your recovery and dedicate yourself to that, because if you don't the program will not work. I sit back and watch women complain and iI see them same women not fully applying themself to the program, if you want something to work you have to read and do what the instructions say or you're not going to get it right, and you tend to blame the program. 1st I believe the consistent use of the cell phones are a major distraction to our recovery while we are here, there are unit phones that can be used. Also, the rules need to be enforced more and taken serious by the clients, the disrespect between the clients are childish in this moment, so staff are in high stress due to the disrespect they receive by the clients, please don't believe all the wrong things you here about this program. I am an addict and in recovery, we have a tendency to say things out of anger and when things don't go our way. this program really works, but only if you work it.... truly, sincerely Ms. Keyonna Fontes 7/4/24
