Anyone wishing to get a hold on their behavioral health and addiction(s) this is the place. The counselor I see is great. She works with me to improve my options and recieve more detailed care. IOP program here is fantastic. The only issue is you need to do your best to follow their rules and regulations. It may seem strict and you may want to complain when something goes wrong. A proper attitude and genuine willingness to improve are your best tools for recovery. They want the best for you.

I joined this program almost 5 months ago (6/15/23), and so far I am very pleased with the services that they provide. I have been on 2 other programs (New Era in Bridgeport and CT Counciling Center in Danbury) prior to my joining the Root Center, and in my experience, the Root Center is a far better program. The nurses, the councilors, and the rest of the staff are extremely professional while maintaining a warm and friendly atmosphere for their patients. Unfortunately, I did have a couple of false positive urinalysises. However, when they saw how upset I was over the error, they believed me, and approved my take home bottles anyway. That would have NEVER HAPPENED at the other programs I have been on. If you are struggling with addiction and are considering joining the Root Center, do it. Today could be the day that you begin to turn it all around. Make the call. God bless!!It has been a couple of months since my last review. In that time I had my bottles recalled for another false positive. There's been a lot of talk at the program about this issue. Apparently this isn't a "me" problem. It's a "we" problem. Because a high (no pun intended) number of clients are complaining about false positives, and to me, that's a problem. I can't speak for everyone else, but in my case, I know that I haven't used since 6/23. It's now 1/24. I shouldn't have any drugs left in my system. The Root Center really needs to address and fix this issue. Not only is it unfair to be treated punitively when you are innocent of wrongdoing, it is also dangerous to the addict. It's the sort of thing that can topple someone's recovery.

I'm coming up on 4 years sober. And I don't think I would have made it here without this company and their staff. They don't play games and I appreciate that because if someone isn't serious then don't waste people's time and try to get "free" high. That's the wrong mentality. It's not meant to get you high, it's meant to help prevent you from wanting to get high!. And if you're dedicated they will be dedicated to helping you in every way possible... Thanks

I sit back and watch women complain and iI see them same women not fully applying themself to the program, if you want something to work you have to read and do what the instructions say or you're not going to get it right, and you tend to blame the program.
1st I believe the consistent use of the cell phones are a major distraction to our recovery while we are here, there are unit phones that can be used.
Also, the rules need to be enforced more and taken serious by the clients, the disrespect between the clients are childish in this moment, so staff are in high stress due to the disrespect they receive by the clients, please don't believe all the wrong things you here about this program.

Norwich is the 120th most expensive city nationwide for addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $57806. This is comparable to the average cost of $57667 for addiction treatment in Connecticut and comparable to the national average cost for drug rehab of $57,193.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Norwich vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of medical detox, inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, and medication assisted treatment. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below. There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Norwich. Most rehab treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Norwich that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options. Here's the complete breakdown of how to pay for addiction treatment near Norwich.
UnitedHealth Group is the most widely-accepted insurance for drug rehabs in Norwich, with 3 treatment centers in the city accepting their insurance. Cigna is the 2nd most popular with 2 treatment centers accepting it followed by Elevance Health in 3rd accepted by 2 drug rehabs.
Norwich has the 82nd highest rate of drug use nationwide among nearly 400 cities surveyed. This number reflects the combined use of cocaine, heroin, meth, and marijuana, displayed individually below. The percent shown for each drug represents the number of residents in New London county that have reported ever using the following drugs, so these numbers should not be interpreted as direct evidence of current drug use in Norwich or New London county as a whole.
In 2023, Norwich had the 261st highest number narcotics violations out of 330 cities nationwide, with a total of 162 reported drug-related incidents that year. This includes cases of public intoxication, drug arrests, narcotics found during house calls and traffic stops, and any other drug-related crime.
Keep in mind these numbers are dependent on accurate record keeping and reporting laws by local police and sheriffs, and may not fully reflect all drug related crime in Norwich. All values are per 100,000 population.
