There was a day where I got traumatized, it was on Sunday September 6th, we had a Code 22 and Code blue, a poor staff member everyone loved, who I’m not gonna say who’s name but their first initial, M, the poor guy have a seizure and one of the patients were laughing, it was so traumatic and I cried many times, the staff barley did anything to help the kids and M. luckily m is okay now but still that was so insane, and for another story we have 2 kids now that are so aggressive basically, one kid J, would keep targeting kids and that would lead to some Code 22’s or Doctor Burt’s. I think the kids who are pretty aggressive should stay away from the other kids, yes I know that you guys can’t do much but I feel really bad for my friends who have to deal with all the stuff. The food is also not really kid friendly, the chicken nuggets and pasta is really good, but I remember one time when we had pot roast and the meat was pink and it wasn’t even cooked, it was sad. There’s much more but on the Good side, the kids are pretty nice for the most part, I had friends there and lots of people understood eachother, it’s cool how we are able to listen to music and have breaks in between groups, the groups are semi fun too, I really love word searches so I usually did those and along with some other work. the beds are comfy though I’ve heard from other kids that the green beds are hard and uncomfortable, I wouldn’t know. My overall experience was good. I’m happy I’m out and I’ve gotten the care I’ve needed. - Kai Kai 1 week ago i went here at one of the darkest times in my life back in 2016. arbor/fuller probably saved my life. definitely one of the best programs i ever went to! i also did their PHP after the detox program & i really valued the groups i attended and the staff who ran them. i learned so much and played a lot of basketball/horse. i always reccomend them to anyone struggling! Katelyn is a fantastic therapist. She really helped me break down some barriers that I was struggling with emotionally. Case manager Marc is the man. I had such a hard time with my TDI and he legit took care of it the first day. He handled everything that was needed with my leave of absence extremely fast. At times it’s frustrating as a patient but the program really does work if you want it to. The facility is small but clean. The entire staff is very helpful and have lots of resources if needed. If I am ever in a situation where I need their services, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. D. From the way they do their intake, which in Florida would take up to 8 hours sometimes longer, to the way they treat their patients, by which I mean that they actually care and treat us with respect. There’s multiple separate three bedroom apartments with five guys in each. This is a men’s house where your treated like men and giving the freedom to take responsibility for your own recovery at the same time giving all the support you ask for. There’s opportunitys to be put into a single room and given a manager roll. I spent nearly three years in the house before moving out on my own about four months ago. I stay in contact with friends I’ve met there. The owners Dana and Sam are class acts. Definitely clean 5 man units with 5 units in the building. Simple place, pay your rent, pass tests when given, 1 weekly mandatory house meeting and 3 outside AA or NA meetings a week. Definitely was the perfect place to finish my community living 6 stop action plan. Now I am moving to my own place with a perfect foundation. My son was offered EI after being in the NICU. We had a new EI worker named Celina and we absolutely loved her. For being new, she helped our child succeed significantly and was such a genuine person to work with. Eventually my son was considered “not eligible” for services at 9 months old, as he was meeting all milestones. Shortly after our services were terminated, we started to notice that he was not meeting the milestones anymore and had some concerns around 1 year old so we contacted KDC for a re-evaluation, in which he qualified for services again. We did another assessment and were placed with Lisa. We have been working with Lisa for over 2 years now and she has been the biggest blessing to our family. Lisa has made such a huge impact on not only our son, but also on us as new parents. She has supported us through the hard times, provided MANY referrals and guided us all the way. She also assisted us with getting a diagnosis for my son. Most importantly, she made us feel validated and heard. I would recommend KDC to anyone and specially Lisa or Celina for early intervention! My friend put me in touch with Mathe at Bedrock and it only took one short conversation before I knew I wanted my recovery to start at Bedrock in Canton MA. Bedrock was my 1st and hopefully last facility I’ll be in and I was blessed to have gone there. I would recommend this place to any and all that are battling addiction. The nurses and staff are all very understanding, patient, knowledgeable and kind. They want the best for you and that’s how they make you feel every day. Taking part in all they have to offer while there definitely makes the time cruise by and really taught me a lot about my addiction. before I knew it I did what not so long ago I thought I never could do. Steve Espanet 2 days ago I had a really positive experience at Bedrock and there were a lot of things about the program that I appreciated. Like anywhere, it isn’t perfect, and some of the groups can feel repetitive at times, but honestly I think there’s a reason for that. In early recovery, we need to hear some things more than once before they actually stick. I walked away with things I know I’ll continue to use outside of treatment. I especially want to shout out Mathematics. His groups were always entertaining and engaging, but he also wasn’t afraid to give you the tough love you needed to hear. He has a way of being direct without making you feel like he doesn’t care. You can tell he genuinely wants people to succeed. I also don’t know how he manages to stay in contact with and support so many people after they leave, but that says a lot about how seriously he takes what he does. Another thing I actually really appreciated was having a decent amount of downtime and some access to the outside world. I know that can be controversial in treatment, but for me it was beneficial. Recovery doesn’t happen in a bubble, and eventually you have to go back to real life. Being able to see what was happening outside, reflect on how it affected me, and then bring those struggles into groups or talk about them with staff gave me the opportunity to work through things while I still had support around me. I would much rather start learning how to handle those emotions in treatment than have everything hit me at once when I leave, which can be one of the most vulnerable times in recovery. Overall, I’m grateful for my experience at Bedrock. There were good staff, good groups, enough structure to keep me focused, but also enough breathing room to actually think about my life and what I needed to change. Treatment is ultimately what you make of it, but I definitely left Bedrock with more insight, tools, and support than I came in with.
