Excellent food with treatment

I would recommend this program to everyone, even those without a mental illness. They have taught me very valuable tools and coping skills, that's priceless to me. I didn't want to do this program at all. It took a lot for me to go and it was the best decision I ever made. The staff members (every single one) are incredible, they're all my favorites in different ways. They have so much to offer to put anyone struggling with mental illness or addiction on the right track to building a solid foundation before discharge. I can now build from there. The groups and the people in the groups were so awesome too. I think about them everyday and miss them greatly. They are like family to me, theyre my people I had absolutely no confidence or hope and thought it was too late for me but the staff members showed me it wasn't and I now believe it isn't. They're are not enough words in the dictionary to describe my gratitude to them. This facility is top notch! Extremely professional, approachable, and accommodating. All the staff we encountered from start to finish were very kind and helpful. All calls were returned promptly and all questions answered without feeling rushed! Highly recommended facility!!

Everyone here is so nice. It honestly, really blew me away ❤️. My grandfather has been here for 2 months now. The only one I haven’t met is the doctor, but All the nurses, CNA’s and the front desk. They are very good and caring here.

This has only been a few sessions as the parent but I’m grateful Jillian and Lauren will help my daughter and I through this process. Grief from trauma can be lifelong but with the right people helping you learn ways of living and growing through the trauma, it makes life easier. The space in my heart will always be empty without my mom but I’m grateful for these two amazing, compassionate and caring women to help my daughter through the loss of her Meme and best friend.

Jamie Chapman is an amazing therapist. She helped me change my life considerably. She has an amazing personality which I've never been able to find in any of my therapist ever. I had literally given up on trying to find the therapist until I found her. She is amazing and I look forward to seeing her every week.

Had a six day visit on the 4th floor. The groups were productive and helpful. The mental health support team was very thuro. I wasn't a fan of the food or lack of cleanliness in group bathrooms. The nursing assistants were hit or miss based on engagement and cell phone usage. The facility should put a policy in place removing cell phones from the floor. If our disabled veterans can't use their own phones, why should we / they constantly see the floors "care team" on theirs.

Everyone will have a different experience, based upon their care team. Physically the Brockton VA is extremely easy to reach, right off Rt 24. Traffic light right at the entrance so you don't need to fight or race other drivers. Loads of parking at any major care building, to include one handicapped lot adjacent to building 3 [main care facility].

I finally registered for VA Healthcare and with some doubt, made an appointment for a physical. I was completely surprised and impressed with the whole experience. The staff was knowledable, friendly and showed concern. They were all articulate and spent considerable time with me. The facility was clean and modern. I had a follow up with the Pharmacist to go over my meds and same thing, she was wonderful. I am now using the VA for my primary care. Thank you for making me feel welcome.

I have been going to therapy for about 7 months and my therapist has helped me so much. She is a great listener and has some amazing suggestions. I would be lost without her.

I was very happy with DR.Accardi. She took time with me and asked good questions. I feel very comfortable with her. I would tell everyone about her.

Visiting from Dallas-Fort Worth area. Needed emergency care for one leg. While the facility is aged and, I’m sure, always in need of service, they seem to keep up with that pretty well. Clinical care was too notch, informed, appropriate, and highest quality. As a Vet, I felt wonderfully talented care of.

June of this year I went to the er at the w. Roxbury va hospital with issue with my feet. Come to find out if had diabetic related issues that resulted in me becoming a double amputee. The Dr's and nurses took great care of me. I'm still going through the healing process, but everything is going great. I have had a great experience with the va hospital.

We are from CT & My boyfriend went in for stomach surgery at the West Roxbury campus & as family members, we were housed in the Fisher House. Just have to say how absolutely stunning that place is. Clean, accommodating, fully stocked kitchen, the house manager was just an absolute Gem. We can’t thank the VA enough for allowing me to be by my boyfriend’s side, free of charge, while he went through this. It really helps relieve a costly burden. The hospital & hospital staff were all great as well. We were helped by two older gentlemen at the front desk as soon as we entered who were just two rays of bright, sunny sunshine on a cloudy morning. all other staff was helpful, kind, & attentive as well. As far as the hospital its self goes, the hallway bathrooms really need some attention. I’m sure some are cleaner than others, but oh boy….. I also got stuck in an elevator by myself for about 4 minutes, never been so scared lol All in all, The positives outweigh the bad ones here, so a 5star review from us !

I've been attending the Discovery House since 2017, but initially, I didn't take the program seriously and wasted a lot of time. This time around, I'm fully committed to using the tools they provide, and it's been a game-changer. I'm grateful for the excellent staff and counselors who have supported me on my journey to sobriety; I'll reach almost 3 years of sobriety in October.
