They also have a good rate of recovery. God bless Michael Clinton 1 year ago I have had the honor of being accepted into the program, the class and meeting are well put together, they do have the skills you need to be successful in your recovery, you just need to be completely focused on your recovery and dedicate yourself to that, because if you don't the program will not work. I sit back and watch women complain and iI see them same women not fully applying themself to the program, if you want something to work you have to read and do what the instructions say or you're not going to get it right, and you tend to blame the program. 1st I believe the consistent use of the cell phones are a major distraction to our recovery while we are here, there are unit phones that can be used. Also, the rules need to be enforced more and taken serious by the clients, the disrespect between the clients are childish in this moment, so staff are in high stress due to the disrespect they receive by the clients, please don't believe all the wrong things you here about this program. The staff and clients genuinely care, listen without judgment, and treat you like a person…not a diagnosis. Recovery isn’t always easy, but having the right people in your corner makes a huge difference. I’ve made incredible connections over the weeks and know I have friends (something I didn’t have in active addiction). Ocean State gave me support, accountability, and encouragement, all things which have kept me wanting to stay clean. If you can check yourself out of the place I don't see why you're not trusted to smoke in their enclosed area. But the food was good. Sarah is a wonderful therapist who has helped me through tough emotions and memories. Facilitators Ronnie and George make the daily groups interesting, interactive and fun. The management is extremely helpful and the wonderful front desk lady Samantha will stop at nothing to make sure you are taken care of! If you are considering treatment and need some form of help, but do not want judgement, confusion, or elevated anxiety, I would personally recommend this place. Starting off at the 3.1 house and I say house for while you’re there the treatment is also a home for us that needed the help. You won’t feel hurried or rushed due to someone just trying to tax your insurance never was I made to feel like a number.daily house meetings counseling sessions and and dinner together are a must however you have your whole day and night to gain employment and reconnect with your loved one’s. Once you’ve completed the required steps in this home you will move to a sober home of the mission if you choose to continue . In the sober home you will be able to move freely to work to meeting and whatever your recreational activities may be. All of this sounded so uncomfortable to me until I saw and lived it myself and I can tell you there is just such an opportunity for you and a chance to build a life that sounds like such a fairytale when I was in active addiction . There is a meeting every morning on the beach that completely changes your mind about your chances. I can go further into detail and would be happy to with any questions about this program it saved my life I assure you I’m not writing this column without all of my friends I made getting sober at the mission.
