Fantastic and fun group lessons this quarter. Instructor Mackenzie’s warmth and connection are so amazing. Her ability to enlighten us on complicated concepts is incredible. Her love of teaching and all the horses shines through. I’m such a more confident rider now, but still have a long way to go! The support staff and all the volunteers make up such a supportive, caring family. This stable and equine program cover so many bases and meet so many needs. My seven-year-old son has also benefited with the equine therapy program in managing his anxiety and ADHD. Thank you Forward Stride!

I had my first experience and intake with Kimberlee and Shannon and Jewel the horse. It was great. Jewel was in a pasture/barn she hasn't been in before so she was a little distracted by the new dry grass to eat but it's ok. I get it and it's not Jewels fault and it was the intake session. I still got to interact with her and Kimberlee and Shannon were fantastic. I already have a psychologist I see monthly since my TBI, but this is different with the horses and a new therapist and I don't mind adding tools to my toolbox to help me be my beat self and I grew up around horse and had one as a kid so this is great for me! I appreciate Kimberlee and Shannon's experience and I loved learning that Shannon get me as she too is a TBI survivor so that felt good and right, made Forward Stride feel like that much better of an experience. One session down and can't wait for many more!

Coming into Treehouse PDX I was missing the mental tools needed to treat my trauma that led to my drinking. I didn’t know how to cope and realized that I wasn’t like normal people who drink. I drank to fill a hole. However with being in the PHP program, I got a lot of the help I was looking for. With great leadership and counseling they helped me get back to a place where I can heal. Where I can now use these tools and build a life that I can call healthy and be inspired by. The house itself is a lot nicer than what I think people may expect. The Facility itself for me is great! (I don’t go to the gym so I don’t have much to compare to, so it feels top notch to ME). We work out for about 4 hours every weekday. Running, Yoga (aka “Joga”), MMA padwork, pickleball and more. The counseling is amazing. The team definitely makes you feel like you’re getting 1 on 1 care, even considering the amount of clients they have. This is my first and I believe last treatment center I will be attending. But I think this is the BEST. I’ve heard from other people in the sober community who have had more experience than I do and they never fail to tell me about what a privilege I have in being in Treehouse. Thank you to Treehouse Staff, My Brothers and Team! I’m happy to say I’ve made lifelong connections while on this lifelong journey of healing.

My time at treehouse recovery changed my whole trajectory in life. It’s rare that anyone give themselves a chance to hit stop and spend 3 months dedicated to only growth and healing from the past. I will always look at treehouse as the pivotal point when I decided to do what I needed for myself. I can’t stress enough how amazing this program is. I have seen so many men come in different stages of spiritual decomposition and leave glowing and empowered with new purpose and strength. 100/10.

Hooper Detox Center Saved My Life, and Gave me a second chance at life. I entered Hooper on Jan 20th, 2025 and here it is April 13th 2026, and in 7 short days I will be celebrating 15 months clean and sober!!! I found Crestview for my family member after a friend highly recommended it based on her experiences with it for her family member. My first point of contact was Garrett. As a psych/ER nurse myself, being on the other side of this moment was terrifying. He walked me through everything with empathy, kindness and true compassion. Hours of crying, hard work with my family member, and connection even months to later to make sure we are okay has set a new standard for me as I evaluate recovery programs. Our experience with Crestview Recovery Center exceeded every expectation we had. The level of care and compassion shown by the entire staff is truly exceptional. They didn't just focus on our daughter's recovery—they genuinely cared about her as a person, treating her with dignity, respect, and kindness every step of the way. What impressed us just as much was the support they provided to our family. Addiction affects everyone who loves the person struggling, and the Crestview team understood that. They were there for us throughout the entire process, offering guidance, encouragement, and reassurance far beyond what we ever expected. Garrett, who helped us through the admissions process, was outstanding. His professionalism, patience, and compassion made an incredibly difficult time much more manageable. He worked with us over an extended period, helping us navigate insurance and ensuring everything was in place so that when our daughter was finally ready to seek treatment, her admission to Crestview was seamless. Garrett also took the time to help me process the emotions that come with having a child battling addiction, offering thoughtful guidance and support that I will never forget. On the day our daughter arrived, Zoey, her counselor, was remarkable. When our daughter wanted to leave, Zoey met her with empathy, patience, and understanding. Her ability to connect with our daughter and help her choose to stay was nothing short of extraordinary. The care, thought, and dedication that every person at Crestview Recovery Center puts into helping individuals and their families is beyond measure. I came to Oregon Trail Recovery Services not as someone unfamiliar with addiction treatment, but as someone who has spent more than 15 years working in the behavioral health and substance use treatment field as a counselor, clinical supervisor, administrator, and advocate. I entered treatment humbled, broken, and determined to rebuild my life one day at a time. Oregon Trail Recovery has exceeded every expectation I had. The greatest strength of this program is not simply its curriculum or structure—it's the people. Every single day, I have been met with kindness, compassion, encouragement, and accountability. The staff have an incredible ability to challenge me while never making me feel judged. They have celebrated my victories, helped me through difficult moments, listened when I needed someone to hear me, and reminded me that recovery is possible even on the days when I questioned myself. What stands out to me most is that I have never felt like just another client. I have felt seen as a person. The staff genuinely care about each individual's success, and that care is reflected in the countless small moments that often go unnoticed—checking in after a difficult group, offering words of encouragement, celebrating milestones, laughing together, and creating an atmosphere where healing feels possible. As someone who has supervised treatment programs myself, I pay close attention to culture, professionalism, and clinical quality. Oregon Trail has created something special. Their staff consistently demonstrate integrity, empathy, patience, and clinical competence. They don't simply teach recovery—they model it through the way they treat people. Throughout my time here, I have participated in intensive treatment, recovery planning, peer support, 12-step work, parenting education, relapse prevention, and ongoing clinical services. More importantly, I have begun rebuilding my confidence, my character, and my hope. The tools I am learning here will continue to shape my recovery long after I leave this program. This experience has also reignited my passion for the behavioral health profession. Rather than allowing my relapse to define me, Oregon Trail Recovery has helped remind me why I dedicated my life to serving others in the first place. It has given me renewed purpose and strengthened my commitment to continue my own recovery while working toward restoring my professional credentials. Recovery is about so much more than abstinence. Wonderful place absolutely awesome MD’s, RN’s and BHT’s. Things to do nice people to talk to and banter about our experiences. Everyone was on point and if you needed anything you just ask at any hour of the day. I’m doing incredibly well on my journey and feel like a new Man. I’ve gotten done so much around the house and my mini farm and have done sooo much better training my daughters to ride motocross. I definitely recommend if you have a problem, just have someone take you in and restart your life it’s fantastic.

My experience at Recovery Village has truly been life-changing, and I will forever be grateful for the people who made such a huge impact on my recovery. Hannah is an incredible group facilitator. She has a way of making every group meaningful, engaging, and something I genuinely looked forward to. She is compassionate, understanding, funny, and truly cares about the people she works with. You can tell that she puts her whole heart into what she does, and she has made a lasting impact on me. Allison, my one-on-one therapist, was absolutely amazing and life-changing. I haven’t left yet but I’ve been having a good time here. I’ve been put on meds to help with my anxiety and OCD, the food is good and the staff are understanding and patient. This detox facility is amazing. As one who’s relapsed multiple times, the staff here are some of the best I’ve encountered in my journey… They all truly care, are patient, and committed to their clients. The nursing staff is amazing. Special shout out to Alisha ( I hope I am spelling thai correctly girl!). John the clinician is absolutely awesome. He’s always willing to go the extra mile for his clients. The case manager Ashely is especially exceptional. She truly cares and empathizes with everyone. She works extremely hard at making sure, whether one only completes detox or extends to residential, that you are taken care of with medical, work, and aftercare. The lengths she goes to quell one’s concerns while being in there is outstanding and truly deserves this shout out. Jennifer the BHT is also incredibly dedicated to her clients. Treats everyone with love and respect and is always willing to lend an ear to anyone who needs it. She also truly cares about ones continued growth. All the stafIf is exceptional. As long as you have faith and are open to the process, you will not be disappointed. Chase on the nursing staff is one you and truly count on for anything. If missed anyone I truly apologize. You all will hold a special place in my heart for all your dedicated hard work. Please trust this facility and take the leap of faith for yourself.

The Recovery Village saved my life! I was there in 2024, the staff were so helpful and very empathetic. I had never been to rehab before, and it was the best experience for me. They focus on the underlying issues of why you use substances to numb. I rate the experience 10 out of 10 and have recommended it to other friends that have family members that struggle with addiction. It was bittersweet when I left after 45 days, as I felt very safe there. I am 2 years and 2 months clean from pain meds and have no desire to take them again. Thank you to all the staff!

I spent a lot of time researching treatment programs. I ultimately chose Center For Discovery because I felt comfortable with the person I spoke to on the phone and because they had open spots available right away. My inner critic said "Why do they have open spots? Is no one going to this place?" The answer is that lots of people are going to this place! And those are the people I spent every day with for the last three months. Going in, I wasn't sure what attending treatment would be like (it's kind of like hanging out with people who understand you, eating meals together, processing feelings, and working on goals) or where treatment would be (it's in a big building with other businesses) or how it would feel to share my inner most thoughts about food, weight, and body with others (it is scary, but also freeing!) or who would be there (lots of different people, ages, stages in life, gender identities, fashion choices and hobbies HA!) Basically, I had a lot of questions going in and I wasn't sure this would be worth my time/energy/money/family stress/etc. It sounds cheesy, but what I found was so much more than I could have imagined for myself. I will miss all the staff and friends I made. I will miss all the games we played at meals and all the inside jokes and crying from emotions but also crying from laughing so hard. Thank you to Paige, Ailis, Alana, Kim, and Jodi for being part of my journey and helping me see the best parts of me.

To anyone considering coming here for treatment - do it. The other reviews posted during COVID are not representative of how the facility is now (not to mention they have never put anyone into "quarantine," it's not even that kind of facility). It's not perfect, nothing is, but this program, the staff, and the others in program with me changed my life. But, it took time. Plus, there are tons of post program support. I still miss the connection I felt with everyone there. It will be what you make of it, so give it a shot and embrace it. It's worth it.

PEOPLE stop leaving bad reviews bc of the hospital, this isn't the hospital it's a group therapy organization that's run out of the hospital. Adapt+ is by far and large one of the greatest group therapy organizations I have ever been in. They are a hybrid IOP and PHP organization, providing both scheduled group therapy and partial hospitalization. All of the counselors and psyciatrists are compassionate, understanding, knowledgeable, and professional. They are one of the only programs I have been in where feedback was given and actually taken into consideration and eventually put into place. I really cannot recommend this place enough, they are truly amazing. People wonder why mental health is so bad in this country. I can confidently say that Adapt+ is not contributing, instead choosing consistently effective mental health treatment over money.

Im only giving 5 stars because the staff here is nice and they listen well and always help out when my husband has stomach episodes. My husband and i came in again today first time in a few months he's gotten sick like this, he has a cancerous cyst in his esophagus that causes issues with his stomach so he’s on a special diet until we find out what triggers him. Sometimes he eats something that sets him off and he ends up puking and dry heaving until he cant stand and he can’t keep any fluids down so i bring him here to get an IV with fluids so he doesn't dehydrate! The doctors, the nurses, the medical assistants, everyone here is wonderful they always listen to me and do great with him. What saddens me is today i was in the waiting room with him and there was a hand full of people staring at him while he was puking and dry heaving, and making comments and telling people not to sit next to us because they thought he was contagious even though i had clarified he is not and that its a pre existing condition. It became so uncomfortable to the point i wheeled my husband into the hallway and waited there and stood in front of him so no one could stare. Everyone in the waiting room didn't even show signs of being sick, no one was coughing or puking or pale or had any visible sickness. They all just sat around on their phones chit chatting and staring at my husband and making comments, and half of them got into a room before my husband who is in agonizing pain. One of the women in there kept announcing that she had cancer, and was even being disrespectful to the staff, and talking down of the staff saying no one here knows how to do their job, she offered me these odd candies for my husband and I politely turned her down and she immediately caught an attitude. Y’all need to grow up. Im sure if you were in my husbands position or my position you wouldn’t enjoy that either. So folks think before you speak.

Best emergency mental health place around portland. Brian Esparza is a genuinely nice guy and tries harder than 85% of doctors. I wish I could rate this place higher, but the vibe sucked being lumped in with unstable drug addicts. Raving about their glorious drug use and insane escapades. The staff didn't give much of a shit when I was having a mental breakdown. I was told to find god or I might go home and hurt myself. Talking to a therapist was like pulling teeth too. Music therapy was amazing, though. Best therapy program in a emergency setting. Was genuinely a pleasure listening to them play. Clean up your program and you will genuinely be the best I've been to in oregon. Edit: After my most recent stay I'd say the acuity split is better, but the nurses station got less efficient and tied up with red tape. I had the pleasure of having Dr. Palumbo this time. He was a real gem. He went above and beyond his duties. Best doctors in Portland hands down. Adding another star going from 3-4 because I see progress in their program and they take people very seriously and address issues immediately unlike other places. This would be my #1 choice of venue when in a severe crisis. I'm hard to please, and these guys pulled that off. Give them a chance.
