About Ten Sixteen Treatment Centers

Ten16 Recovery Network has served Central Michigan for at least 45 years. At their Midland, Michigan location they promote recovery and wellness at every stage of substance misuse. This is achieved through shared experience, proven steps and supportive accountability. They’re guided by the belief that everyone can enjoy a meaningful life free of drugs and find belonging in a healthy community.

They’ve facilities spread across multiple locations in mid-Michigan. Each provides a unique level of care from residential treatment to outpatient services and recovery housing. The Eastman House at 1016 Eastman Avenue is a men’s sober living home of recovery housing. It’s a historic home in the heart of the city with enough space to accommodate 14 men.

Explore Midland While You Recover

Their location a short walk from the downtown area offers you easy access to restaurants, coffee shops and churches. The Midland Community Center, Grace A Dow Library and a dozen 12-Step Meetings are within walking distance of the Eastman House as well. So attending offsite self-help groups wouldn’t be a problem here.

You’ll also be able to balance onsite treatment with outdoor recreational or leisure activities. This is thanks to the numerous parks and recreational facilities nearby. The Midland Center for the Arts/Dow Gardens, Tridge and Whiting Forest of Dow Gardens are all within walking distance of the facility. DART service can easily get you around if there’s an immediate need for transportation.

Comfortable Amenities During Care

The facility is very well equipped for comfort. There’s a large living room, three single and three double bedrooms rooms and one quad room. There are also four full baths and two half baths as well as a computer and entertainment room. It provides the structure and support needed to nurture your recovery over the long term.

You’ll be living in a tight-knit community united by a shared desire to grow in recovery and live independent life free from drugs. You’ll attend both group and individual counseling to build the coping skills necessary to prevent relapse. Recovery Coach is available to offer individual and group support. You’re also expected to maintain active participation in a 12-Step or alternative recovery program.

Staying Accountable Through Teamwork

The program emphasizes community, accountability and shared responsibility. You’re encouraged to interact with and communicate with peers to foster healthy relationships. Participation in daily chores is something that’s highly encouraged as this helps you gain independent living skills. You must maintain the house rules regarding substance free living. The programming includes random testing to ensure compliance.

The thing I like most about this program is that they adopt a communal approach to running the facility. This fosters a sense of responsibility, encourages accountability and builds trust within the community. It also helps create a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and invested in each other’s recovery journey.

Residents can stay for a maximum of two years. This gives them ample time to rebuild their lives, develop essential life skills and prepare for independent living.

We told the counselor directly that my mom was not to leave and that she was at risk for herself, they still went ahead and let her go and now she's in the hospital for overdosing not even an hour after leaving. Thanks 1016 recovery network, you must really care about doing your job!

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Michigan provides personalized treatment to help individuals break this cycle and regain control of their lives. Treatment methods are used in various levels of care, including inpatient rehab, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, and standard outpatient treatment.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

1016 can turn your life around, it has mine. They were tough but caring. Help me every step of the way. Didn't like it in the beginning but ended up realizing they were right and my thinking was all fu#@ed up. My life is clean now for about 8 years, and I owe part of it to them, the other part was my hard work. But with out them I would have never made it where I am right now, CLEAN. Thank you 1016, you saved my life! And many more.
