About The Lighthouse Sober Living

Lighthouse Sober Solutions in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, is a recovery residence option for men. They are certified by the Kentucky Recovery Housing Network (KHRN) and are a Department of Corrections (DOC) provider.

Recovery Residence Promotes Sobriety

A recovery residence is where recovering substance abuse clients can live in a drug and alcohol-free environment to promote recovery. The KHRN supports residential programs by providing standards, protocols for ethical practice, training, and information for residential support at all levels.

This facility provides level one and level two housing. Level one typically houses individuals who are somewhat self-sufficient and require minimal support. Level two is the level for entry after inpatient treatment. Daily transportation is provided.

Outpatient Services at Lighthouse

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) treatment is offered in addition to residency. Most health insurances are accepted, or self-pay is available with a $140 deposit.

Clients have described this facility as a light in the dark of their life. Clients have learned how to function in society and stated the fellowship and brotherhood is indescribable.

Local Spots for Meditation
A Valley Creek Reservoir is just down the road from the facility. Visitors who fish come here for the largemouth bass, yellow bullhead, and bluegill fish. Haycraft Neighborhood Park is a 13-minute walk from the facility and has a pavilion and walking trail. Cave Spring Trailhead is four miles away. The trail is a quarter mile long and features a historic cave spring.

Wish I had never left the lighthouse. This place was helping me become a better me. After leaving this program I ended up at a program called '' On Eagles Wings'' were that's all they do there is get high. Wish I had called my sponsor first.

I'm grateful to have been part of this spring door program. If you're looking for a place to heal and recover and be sober then I would suggest the lighthouse to anyone who wants to change in a positive direction. It has changed my life for the best. I'm greatful to have graduated from the lighthouse and have God I'm my life today. My goals are to help others in their recovery and build a firm relationship with God. Thanks to the lighthouse for saving my life!

Thank you for the review, we believe an individual can recover in any facility when the individual is ready to recover, it s really about one common goal: Recovery.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

The Lighthouse saved my life. The staff there are incredible because they help you with life on life's terms, not just sobriety. I actually went there twice because I wasn't ready to be on my own, and they never questioned it. Mr. Metcalfe has a great program that really works because there are recovering addicts as well. Miraculously, I have two and a half years of sobriety and I owe lots of the credit to Lighthouse Sober Solutions. Thanks for your time and have a blessed day.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Thanks for the rating James and congratulations on completeing the program. We are very greatful to have worked with you on your new journey.

Was so optimistic, place was the worst! after what I went through and what I saw there!! Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Sorry you had a bad experience at the lighthouse. In this type of business unfortunately not everyone will leave or discharge pleased with services. We will take a look at whatever our part is in this and correct it.

My personal experience and opinion The Light House Sober Living is the best sober living program in Elizabethtown, Ky. The structure and support from everyone is exactly what I need. Upon completion of my 6 month program I will say that our relapse rate is considerably lower than statistics. I wish to thank Tony Metcalf, Amanda Metcalf, & Jason Murray for this life changing experience.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
James thank you so much!! We are very proud of you. You have come a long way from when you first walked in the door at 1820.
