This place is a good place to go when you are in need of mental health help but don't need to be in the hospital and they can help with medicine issues.

Home Intervention, or HI, is a part of Washington County Mental Health. It is a place where someone who is in a state of crisis Mentally or Emotionally. An alternative to the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit, it is a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere than one would experience in the Inpatient Unit. Patients are, however, still under careful supervision, but it is designed to be for those who are in a state of crisis, but not as much of a danger to themselves or others and thus requiring slightly less supervision than someone in the hospital. I spent about a week and a half there and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very professional and very helpful. They were also pleasant and truly friendly, not just "nice" because they are supposed to be. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is having a difficult time, as everyone does at some points in their lives.

Love it there! They have so many resources and are always doing the best they can to help. I’ve had good experiences with reception, therapists, their nurses and their case workers :) Although I do wish they had more couples counselors, but other than that it’s been nothing but positive.

The staff was polite and quick to respond to questions. They offered information and classes quickly with regards to your needs.

Treatment associates is awesome... Doctor Williams is awesome...and If your lucky, I mean really really really lucky, you'll get Kate as your counselor.. She's amazing...

Saved my life..

MV was the first treatment center I ever attended. I was terrified going in—I had never been away from home, and I was struggling deeply with depression, OCD, and anxiety. I had graduated from high school in 2023, taken a gap year, and was preparing to start at Franklin & Marshall College when I hit my rock bottom. Together, my parents and I made the difficult decision that I needed more intensive support. Looking back now, those five months at MV became the most transformative period of my life. I met incredible people—both residents and staff—who made me feel seen, understood, and supported. During my time at MV, I was able to heal and reconnect with the core of my values. Of course, there were moments when I felt frustrated with the program; treatment is a vulnerable space that asks you to confront your fears, your patterns, and the safety behaviors that have led your life. But MV offered me the safety, structure, and guidance I needed to work through that discomfort. They gave me the push no one else could. MV helped me to realize just how much I needed consistency, caring accountability, and firm but compassionate support. Today, my OCD is so much better, and although my anxiety is still around (it’s always going to be a pesky little friend), I’ve learned how to work with it instead of letting it control me. I’m currently living in Portland, ME, in a transitional living program where I’m taking classes at SMCC, working at Anthropologie, and learning how to support myself. To see the progress from a year ago—when I couldn’t even leave my room—to where I am now is incredibly empowering. And best of all, I've realized that the strength I needed was already within me; I just needed some help remembering that it was there. My daughter went through the Mountain Valley treatment program for her anxiety. Mountain Valley provides excellent, evidenced based treatment for anxiety and OCD to teens and young adults ages 13-21 in a beautiful, warm setting. The staff: directors, clinicians, and residential staff, are intelligent, skilled, compassionate, and wise. Not only do they provide great treatment in the form of exposure response treatment, CBT, DBT, and ACT; they explore the larger life journey, values, and meaning for each resident. They connect the residents to nature in their beautiful NH setting, and on their farm with animals. They have a wonderful chef and integrate healthy food and life style choices. They have a three phase treatment structure that aligns the treatment process with the idea of a heroic journey, and have ceremonies to mark entering each phase (a fire ceremony and an ice bath ceremony). They foster an atmosphere among the residents that allow them to develop community with others and deep connections. My daughter not only learned the tools to address her anxiety that she will carry forward, she learned to connect with herself and her values, and to tolerate her distress and challenges with courage. In addition, they offer a parent support and education program that allows us to learn about anxiety, supports us, and gives us the tools to parent our children with significant anxiety. They also offer a transitions program for the residents after they leave to bridge the return to their lives at school, home, and in their communities, My daughter’s experience at Mountain Valley was life changing and healing. I recommend it without reservation for kids with severe anxiety and OCD, and am so grateful for her and our experience at Mountain Valley.

Mountain Valley has truly been a lifesaver to our family! It is a special place made up of special people who have both the expertise and the caring hearts to support both their residents and their families during a very difficult time. They were able to turn my daughter’s bright light back on that had been dimmed due to anxiety and depression. They educated her to help her understand what she was going through, gave her coping skills for when she experiences her highs and lows, and helped her to learn strategies and routines that allow her to maintain a healthier lifestyle. They also helped and supported our family to learn what we could do to better support her. In connecting with the other residents and forming incredibly close friendships, for the first time, our daughter didn’t feel alone in what she was going through. The therapists and staff at Mountain Valley are unmatched in the way they care about and connect with the residents. My daughter really trusted them and finally had hope that she could get better. On top of all that, she loved being there and had so much fun in all their activities. I am forever grateful to Mountain Valley!!!!

My husband really likes the Dr he sees. The wait time isn't to long at all. We receive very helpful service from the employees working here.

As a Veteran with a 100% disability rating, I have been a regular patient at this VA healthcare facility for the last eight years. During every visit, the medical and clinical personnel have consistently delivered superior care. I always receive my prescriptions through the mail punctually, as guaranteed. The staff are welcoming and devote time to offer support and respond to inquiries.

Well this place will help save your life, but, you have to be willing to do the work! It's definitely worth the effort.

Its all in how you carry yourself while your their, if you need help ask for it. Ranting amd raving around the clinic being aggressive is gonna get you treated differently. Go in and be a normal decent person, be civilized for christ sakes your experience will be much more positive. In the end like you, there only doing there job. Ive been there 6 years and ive never ever had an issue everyone's very nice and makes my short time there better, always talkative and very friendly. Without them i know i wouldn't be standing on this side of the ground. Where many of my friends and family unfortunately have lost their own fights and their no longer her with us today"RIP". So super thanks to all staff for all that you guys do each and everyday..

I've had naught but pos. experience at BAART(St.J)even tho. I'm what u might call "part-time" ...U see I use the clinic in Burlington,tho I live very close too St.J. When needed tho,in "special "circumstances,like call-backs or severe weather etc. BAART(St.J. ) Has consistently done whatever possible to help me maintain my Status,servicing me on these occasions when a missed dose or lab could prove to be a total failure and end of my program.So with actions such as these in mind, I've no problem in giving 'em a solid five.....

Teen and Adult Challenge gave me my son back. This faith based program helped him to recover from addiction and gave him the tools necessary to lead a successful life. He is almost 7 years in recovery

My Uncle was saved by teen challenge. Now I can get to know the real person who was hidden by addiction.

I go here off and on, it is a place to meet others, share a meal and join in on adventures. Adventures include group movie nights, trips to Maine, camping in Grand Isle, and various other places in Vermont. There are overnight trips and day trips, all of these events provide transportation from, and back to Westview. Evening trips deliver you to your home. Holidays are celebrated, with special meals. Art happens too, all supplies are provided. At noon each day a meal is served .
