Where do I start with reviewing Avenues and my experience in it? My 90-day journey at Avenues Recovery completely transformed my life.
From the moment I arrived, I was met with warmth and genuine acceptance. Walking through those doors in the thick of addiction is terrifying, but the staff and community created an atmosphere centered entirely on healing and positive growth. Through every tough moment, the support never wavered. For the first time in years, I was guided to truly understand myself, confront the root of my struggles, and rebuild my life from the inside out.
The fellowship I found here showed me that I never have to navigate this path alone. Beyond the emotional and clinical care, Avenues helped me construct a concrete, well-defined recovery plan—not just to stay grounded while I was in the facility, but to keep moving forward and upward once I stepped back into the world.
Avenues helped me give myself the greatest gift possible: my recovery, my self-worth, and a future with purpose. I will carry lifelong gratitude for the people here and the foundation they helped me build. If you or someone you care about is looking for hope and a real way out, this place will help you find it.

Avenues Recovery saved my life! I don’t know where I would be without ever coming here. The staff, the facility, everything was amazing at Avenues Concord. I was 1000% supported in every way imaginable. Avenues Corcoran does recovery exceptionally well in all “avenues” lol. From playing volley and whale watching with the community here, to one on one sessions with my councilor and staff, everything hit for me. The atmosphere was welcoming and I’d tell anyone considering coming here to do it now rather than later! Your recovery matters and Avenues can help. Not only did they help me currently with my life struggles, they continue to give you the care and tools you need after treatment! I can call right now and they’d answer the phone! If you’re thinking about it, just do it already! You won’t regret it and you can finally live a real life where you are truly happy! Thank you for EVERYTHING Avenues you truly helped me become the person I’ve always wanted to be!

I'm over 5 years sober now and I've been working in the Substance Use Disorder field for over 3 years now. I'm actually creating an updated resource sheet, which is why I ended up on here haha. But I figured while Im here, I should post a review about my own experience.
I went to Granite House back around 2020. My experience was great, I definitely had some ups and downs however the downs were 100% self induced. Although the staff and the group of people I was within were all incredible- I just wasn't ready yet at that time. I went to about half a dozen treatment programs throughout my addiction, but to this day I tell people "if you have medicaid and you're looking to go to rehab in NH - Granite House the best place to go." It is my first choice for referral out of all the treatment centers in the state!
Its obviously been a while since I was there, 7 years or so, but I have had clients tell me about their recent experiences and they all say the same thing " Its like a big family. " I couldn't agree more!
Thank you Granite House for your continued dedication to those who are in need of a safe, caring and trustworthy treatment center during their most vulnerable days. New Hampshire has lost a lot of good, helpful, and solid places over the past several years but to see you still standing and providing people with treatment is truly deeply appreciated!!!
* If you're reading this - and are trying to figure out if this is the right choice... as someone who statistically was not supposed to and never should have made it out... my advice is ;
Ask yourself what do you have to loose by trying? By showing up and giving yourself the chance? Compared to ... if you stay..? And don't even give it a try? We do recover - It takes time and its not easy - but nothing in life worth having, ever comes easy! You are more than worth it, so take the chance 🫶

Last year after an abrupt and unrecommended departure from Green Mountain, My daughter is currently at Canterbury and so far I’m breathing a breath of relief.
We flew my daughter from out of state for treatment as the state we live in doesn’t have the type of mental health care with coocurring substance abuse treatment (even though the facilities state they do). Canterbury so far has been the first facility to finally give my daughter the type of individualized care she needed.
My daughter’s Case Worker Jen has been a Godsend. Jen became aware that my daughter was returning to New Hampshire for treatment and quickly took her under her guardian angel wings. Jen makes herself available to provide us as the parents reassurance with her knowledge at any time of the day, which is a blessing since we are not in the area to quickly come check on my daughter.
I plan to come back and give an update on my review as treatment continues. So far, I highly recommend Canterbury for your family’s treatment!

I think the staff does a great job at New Season Concord, N. H. I constantly hear people talking bad about the clinic, and just putting it down. My thoughts would be that more then likely they probably would never open such a place of there wasn't proof of it working. Or should I say, if the success rate wasn't there. But anyways, in all reality, it honestly is what you make of it. You basically figure out how you want your goal of sobriety to go, with the help needed from the Doctor, Nurses, and the rest of the staff. I cannot say enough good about Aware Recovery Care going back to February 2023. My first involvement was with their In-Home Detox team consisting of RN Jenn Aguire and nurses Tabitha and Krystal who came to my home for at least seven straight days to get me detoxed. This was critical to me as at the time I was unwilling to enter in residence detox having had a negative experience in the past. I credit them with saving my life. Their kind and compassionate care showed me that there was indeed some hope for me going forward. Following detox Aware counselors Sam Hayes and Amber Gelinas continued home visits working very closely with me in keeping me on the road to sobriety. I also received monthly assessments by an RN and a session with a Psychiatrist. After six months my insurance lapsed but thankfully I was eligible to enter their Alumni Program consisting of multiple Zoom meetings during the week with Aware professionals. In addition they also host various events in different locations with other Alumni of the program. You always feel that Aware is right there with you every step of the way. I could carry on much longer but let me finish by saying that I consider the Aware professionals I have dealt with to be more than just counselors but as friends as well. I am welcome back in the lives of my children and most importantly my Grandchildren. On November 24 I will be collecting my Nine Month sobriety chip at my AA Home Group. I credit a great deal of my success on Aware Recovery.

I went to Antrim House about five months ago, and I can honestly say it changed my life. When I arrived, I was in a really unstable place and didn’t know what my future would look like. The staff treated me with respect, patience, and real compassion from day one.
What stood out most was how much they genuinely cared — not just about getting me through the program, but about helping me build a foundation for long-term sobriety. The structure, accountability, and support made a huge difference for me. I learned how to be honest, how to take responsibility, and how to start creating stability in my life.

Visited many other facilities or Dentist but so far my first two visits, Harbor Care is by far the best.
The staff, the dentist assistant and above all the Dentist - Dr. Gupta is very good. She listens patiently and ensured all the questions were answered.
I will certainly rate her 10 out of 10.
Thanks 👍

After having been to more rehabs than I can count throughout New England, I can honestly say that Liberty Health Services stands apart.
From the moment you walk through the door, you are treated with genuine compassion, respect and understanding. Many of the staff have their own experience with recovery, so they aren’t talking at you—they’re talking with you. That makes an enormous difference when you’re vulnerable and trying to be honest about what you’re going through.
The nursing staff is wonderful. They monitor your health, make sure you receive the medications you need, and genuinely care about how you’re doing. They help coordinate everything, including transportation when needed, and they actually follow up after you leave to see how you’re doing. That kind of continued care says a lot.
And the facility itself is beautiful, comfortable and exceptionally well maintained. The rooms and beds are great, the food is excellent, and there’s a comfortable outdoor area where you’re able to get some fresh air and have a cigarette.
From Dennis, the owner and CEO, to Joe Doherty and the entire staff, there is a real understanding of recovery that gives people hope. I’ve been through this process many, many times, and this is the first place where something finally clicked for me.
If you’re struggling and looking for a place where you’re going to be treated like a human being—not a number—I highly recommend Liberty Health Services. They genuinely care, and it shows.

Did the inpatient treatment here. Facilities were clean and food was good. Lots of freedom to eat and socialize whenever you want. Staff was very friendly but sometimes didn’t communicate well between shifts and missed some important documentation. Also rooms were very hot and requests to turn down the temperature were not taken seriously. That said I would recommend this facility.

It was the hardest decision his dad and I ever made but it turned out to be the best one we did for our son. It was not easy. But the staff and the administration were very good at keeping us informed and helping us navigate our way through it and how to support our son, how to take care of ourselves and also how to parent in a different way. We tried so many things for three years before. But ultimately his world got so small, he wouldn’t go to school, or listen to us. It wasn’t easy, but he came back from Mountain Valley more confident, thoughtful, respectful, emotionally aware with skills to help himself and he is polite. He also has a whole community of friends and mentors that he really values.

I have been to Mountain Valley twice, once at freshly 16 and again at 17 after a series of troublesome events occurred in my life, and I owe so much to this place for being an environment that empowered me, loved me, and provided me with the resources and support that I needed to get up on my feet and start living. The staff cared for me unconditionally. They were there with me through some of the arguably hardest days of my life, celebrated my successes and pushed me to take part in the difficult things they knew I could do, while also remaining consistent support systems even when I didn’t listen. The milieu was truly like my family away from home— the support given and received between Mountain Valley residents is an indescribably beautiful thing— and at MV I found a sense of community unlike anything I’d ever experienced before. With so many horrible places out there, I will never be able to express how thankful I am for Mountain Valley and what they do. I am forever grateful to the place that helped save my life.

Over the years, I have referred many families to MVTC. From their first point of contact with Everett, through their entire treatment stay, the client and family are treated with the utmost care and compassion. Their clinical team is highly skilled and always finds the time to collaborate with other providers. I trust MVTC to hold families through an incredibly vulnerable time and to approach each young person with respect, warmth, and a deep understanding of their struggles. Families often share that their experience has been life-changing.

As far as Christian recovery goes His mansion stands out above the others that I’ve seen/been to. There is a unique level of care and involvement from the staff that goes unprecedented in the recovery scene as a whole. If you want to get sober and actually live a life worth living, you gotta radically submit your beliefs and live for the Lord.

His Mansion is a work based, live-in program that teaches how to overcome addictions by fully relying on God. I commited myself to growth and change and I have been clean and sober since becoming a resident on November 20, 2023.
During the year, I learned to cast all my worries upon the Lord and rely on Him to give me strength. I faced the hurts of my past, rededicated my life to Christ, and was baptized in June of 2024. Before graduating in October of 2024, I learned patience and received joy that no one can take from me.
The staff and servant leaders truly care for each of the residents and pour out their love in all that they do. Their time and energy is truly dedicated to seeing broken lives be restored through the hope of Jesus Christ!
