I went to The Beachcomber in 2020 after 12 years struggling as an alcoholic. What I walked into wasn’t what I expected after a few stints at other rehabs. They were tough, hard on us. They spoke the truth which is something I hadn’t heard. I didn’t get sober as soon as I left, but I did soon after and I am so thankful for the experience I had there. Our daughter went through the Transformations Treatment Center a few years ago (she is a First Responder) and the difference that it has made in her life and the lives of her friends, co-workers and our family cannot really be described with words, but I continue to feel very grateful for the change that she has made for herself and others. Coming here was a hard decision, but it ended up being the right one. I got real help for both my PTSD and my drinking. The trauma therapy was strong, and EMDR actually helped more than I thought it would. Met other vets too which made a big difference. Staff was caring but they could use a few more hands. The psych team knew their stuff, for sure. Place wasn’t perfect, but it gave me a shot at peace and that means everything.

My experience at Seastone was a great one. All the techs, management and Therapist were all very honest, polite and respectful of all my needs and accommodations. I can truly say I have been in Florida for a little over 2 years and half and I have been to many treatments and halfways. Having said that seastone recovery actually gave me the tools to truly succeed and live a happy life without drugs. The staff are very qualified for any addiction/trauma you have encountered. The techs are even more caring and truly want to help rather then tell you what your doing wrong. Having said that I can and will recommend this place to anyone who needs help.

Our son is in the NAVIGATE program at SCMHC. He receives his monthly injection from the nurses at SCMHC. Both Lenny and Kathy are out-of-this-world amazing in every way. They make the one hour monthly trip worth every minute. They have embraced our son with love. Their humor and gentle care toward him— and us, his parents, has been such a weight lifted in tremendously tough times. The staff we have encountered (primarily Candy and Justin) have also been considerate and helpful. I am so thankful for the monthly services we receive at the SCMHC. **Our son recently experienced a mental health crisis and voluntarily checked himself in here for inpatient stabilization. He just ended a full week here; they took great care of him. Sure, this place is old and doesn’t visually present well, but the care is the most important thing and believe me, they care! 🩵❤️

This review is for the amazing Dr. KLAPPER and staff. Huge shout out to nurse Andrea Medoff (she is so warm, friendly and phenomenal). I have been seeing this therapist for about a year now and he has helped me so much. I was having trouble with my anxiety and depression, but he helped me work through the problem with a combination of medication and therapy. He is so nice and very professional, but also very easy to talk to. He makes you feel comfortable right away and it doesn't take long at all to feel better after working with him!

I would recommend Counseling Center for Growth & Recovery to anyone that is trying to find a good psychologist who is really understanding and non judgmental. For years I have battled through some issues. Providence Sober Living played a pivotal role in my early sobriety journey. After spending two months in treatment, I found myself in exactly the right place. I spent 16 months there, and it felt like home. They have an excellent program and a strong sense of accountability that I desperately needed. This is my response to Mr. Wolf, who I spoke with on several occasions as the former manager of The Swinton Place. No one is "coming after you" because you posted a negative review. You were deemed inappropriate based on my experience dealing with the dually diagnosed population. After more than one conversation, and after receiving several incoherent and disjointed voicemails from you, I made the decision, and not the owner, to deny you residency. The anger and what I perceive to be paranoia in your review leaves me confident in my decision. It was not a personal issue, but simply a decision for the good of the community. I'm glad to hear that you are working, and wish you all the best going forward. The Swinton Place is one of the few remaining halfway houses that does not accept insurance, and rent is only $140 per week. There is absolutely no greed on the owner's part, and he does not operate the facility to make a quick buck. It is not a "shady" facility as Michael stated. The current manager had to plead with the owner to raise the weekly rent by $5.00, so that he can offset the cost of more frequent drug testing. Drug testing is done in house, and not through an insurance based lab for profit, as has become the industry norm. Reading your review was very disappointing to me, and you may have inadvertently steered away some of those seeking recovery.
