Outpatient

Clients in outpatient rehab have often completed inpatient treatment and are stable and progressing in their recovery journey. Others may have elected to move straight from detox into outpatient care to minimize disruptions to their work or family life. Because outpatient clients’ needs may vary widely, treatment programs and levels of care are also often diverse. Clients requiring more frequent and substantive psychotherapy and recovery support may enroll in intensive outpatient (IOP) or partial hospitalization (PHP) programs.

Inpatient

Hudson Health Services offers Residential Treatment at their campus in Salisbury, Maryland. Known as ASAM Level 3.7, or Medically Monitored Intensive Inpatient Services, this level of care is appropriate for patients with co-occurring medical, emotional, or behavioral disorders that are severe enough to require 24/7 monitoring, but not severe enough to warrant a hospital admission. Withdrawal Management services are often coupled with this level of care.

Sober Living Homes

There are many benefits to a sober living home in Delaware, also referred to as a halfway house. This transitional housing offers accountability, structure, 12-step programs, and sober fellowship. Residents have the opportunity to develop positive friendships that encourage them to abstain from substances. These relationships provide crucial support when individuals have completed inpatient rehab treatment and are preparing to return to normal day-to-day living.

24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

12-Step

The 12 step program model has become a standard in addiction recovery. It combines peer coaching with spiritual development to address the root causes of addiction while providing those in recovery with robust, judgment-free support. Participants self-select a sponsor to guide them through their recovery journey, engage in regular group meetings, and “work the steps” to achieve healing emotional, psychological, and spiritual growth. Though 12 step recovery is spiritually-focused, religious affiliation is not required.

Aftercare Support

Hudson Health Services wants to provide a way for their alumni to stay connected after discharge. The decision to enter treatment is important and a life changing experience. The Alumni Association can help continue the fellowship and bridge the gap for newly discharged patients who are returning home and looking forward to a productive and fulfilling life in recovery. The Alumni Association meets periodically to discuss issues that arise in their community, as well as to socialize and provide peer mentoring for clients still in treatment. This association is an active entity within the recovery community to provide volunteer projects and essential outreach efforts.

Clinical Services

Creative Arts Therapy

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Family Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.
