This review is going for the advocate who’s been very helpful to me in the past few weeks! Her name is Alicia Beltman. She deserves nothing but a big raise! She does so much more for her clients than any one else who works there realizes! When I was staying in a motel, she was checking on me daily making sure I was okay. She has provided me resources. She helped me fill out applications for housing programs and applications to get into my home. She does a lot more than she’s required to do. This woman deserves a raise and a promotion. She actually cares about her job and clients. If you are ever homeless and need to get back on your feet, I’d recommend talking to Alicia!! Thank you for everything you did Alicia!

I would probably have lost my home and my job and had a complete livelihood, if it were not for this place, my life would not be the same. This is a place that gives us hope when you are at your lowest level.

I went to another place previously and they suggested impatient and probably a halfway house for my first dui and I truly wasn’t an alcoholic and rarely drank. I was single, owned a home and had no one in my life to help me or Rely upon so that wasn’t an option for me and they wouldn’t budge on their recommendation. I found Daniel and went to him and he actually listened to me and helped me through it and he had a class that was required and I had to take and it really opened my eyes and helped me to really see what I had done and helped me to change for the better without actually having to lose everything in the process. Daniel is the kind of person who will be there for you 10000% probably to a fault. He is one of the rare gems in his profession who doesn’t have an agenda and truly wants to see his clients do well in life. I guarantee I could call him anytime and he would be there for me.

I managed to complete my masep classes here without any problems. Daniell is a great person to work with; he’s approachable and not at all judgmental or difficult to understand.

Synergy Center has my deepest appreciation. While I was there, the staff was always polite and understanding, they gave me the chance to get my life back and supported me through all the recovery process. Thank you for all you did for me and for all you've done for others.

The staff was caring and understanding of my recovery. They helped me with getting to know my addiction and how to recognize the triggers. They also help with getting your life back in order...but you have to go with the HOPE of getting help.

While traveling through Luverne, my wife and son were in an accident and taken to the ER. Dr. Canfield was absolutely wonderful—kind, compassionate, and thorough. She took amazing care of them and helped calm a very stressful situation. We’re so grateful for her professionalism and genuine concern. Luverne is lucky to have her!

I highly recommend this place! The people there are really cool and understanding. I like the small groups and feel comfortable sharing. It's nice to talk to people who share my same experiences and struggles. We even had a pizza and movie night!

I feel like the reviews don't accurately describe the service here. The front office lady is always very kind and welcoming and my therapist is great! I've gotten the help I need here. Good quality care.

I personally had a great experience. I was seeing Amber Myers. My first visit was uncertainty; I didn’t have any idea if this woman could provide the care I needed. Then a year later, I learned quite a bit about myself. Amber, pays attention to her patients. She actively listens. Instead of making suggestions, she allows her patients to self-reflect by using questions that make you think, rather than enforcing an idea. Sort of like planting a seed. Despite my care with physiatrist, over at Avera behavioral healths main facility, I actually got results. I improved through therapeutic techniques, rather than consuming medication. I can say that the practice at Avera behavioral health psychiatry is taboo. One little statement could cost you a prescription that you actually need and lead to you being misdiagnosed for something else. This happened to me. One doctor by the name of Losee, said to me, “My husband has adhd and he doesn’t need medication. So why do you?” This baffled me for the longest time. I was taken off my prescription for adhd, because I made a subtle statement about being angry at how my life was unfolding, about two years ago. She kept telling me if I went to get labs done (blood testing) she would provide my medication again. It never happened. So I gave up and went over to Avera behavioral healths smaller clinic, where they had licensed therapists such as Amber. And I was happy.

I have been looking for a doctor since moving to Iowa over 5 year's ago! My prayers were finally answered when their hospital(by the way awesome) referred me to Dr. De Jong! Love him...super caring, funny and respectful. His nurses are also wonderful. Keep up the great work. Kim

My mental illness made me fall apart of so many therapists because they had no idea what to say or do. Then I came here, and it has helped me tremendously. They actually know what they are talking about! They created options for people who can't go all the time to the offices (like me). The medical staff has helped me cope with some very difficult situations. This is the very best care available to me

Chief medical Charles Tilly is my doctor who prescribes most of my medications. I went their in 2019 after going to a facility in 2019 and when I got back home I was still seeing him. But when I went to spirit lakes facility for plains area... it was horrible. But we ain't talking about plains area spirit lake we talking about le Mars iowa plains area. Anyways... my doctor before I went to Charles tilly I was basically I was put on a good amount of medications and it was awful x.x but until I saw Charles tilly, he said to me that my main goal is to put you on less medications as possible. Also with my last recent visit via zoom, he said that he knows I don't do well in hospitals and he just wants me to stay right where I am. That's with my good mother. Plus he knows alot about natives. (I don't know how though) But when I get so nervous before an appointment with him, and when the appointment comes he talks in a very calming way and for some reason I can open up to him and I'm super calm. Like being nervous to calm in an instant. I don't know how he does his magical powers but he does. To be honest... I think he has a gift spiritually. Also he's a really good doctor for medications. Also my therapist Angela Nilles is a cool beans therapist. I love her so much. ^-^

I am not saying this place is perfect, but it wasn't that bad. All the staff were super nice to me. They taught me a lot about my situation. I think it was better than my rehab. Food wasn't great, but what hospital food is. I loved Ann.
