On July 28 &1:40 I had an appointment with Dr Barasio. I had to cancel an appointment with Chuck previously, I thought since I was passing chucks office I would ask the receptionist if I could schedule an appointment for anytime in the future. her first response was to tell me I could schedule an appointment on osf my chart she was setting there doing nothing but it was to much to ask her to do her job apparently it's my job to schedule appointments, after my appointment with Dr Barasio I needed a blood test and was told to see the same receptionist her response was to tell me I needed to follow the rules what rule I broke I have no idea she was setting on her fat but doing nothing and all I did was follow Dr instructions and ask her to do her job Chuck is a kind man and does a good job however I won't be back I don't need a rude receptionist who is to lazy to do her job lecturing me and treating me like I'm garbage. All she needed to do was her job type a few things on a computer and keep her mouth to her self. .

I have been seeing Jay for the last year and he helped me save my marriage. I had to learn how to grow individually as a person and not blame my wife for my behaviors. It was hard at first to see myself from a different perspective but Jay gave me strategies that made it easier. In turn, my wife learned how to communicate with me and not get so upset. It took time and commitment but it was well worth it. From our first session we were treated with respect and professionalism. I would recommend Jay without hesitation. At any severity level, alcohol addiction is treatable through alcohol rehab in Illinois. Most comprehensive rehab programs include medical detox, inpatient rehab, and ongoing alcohol counseling/support (maintenance).

In Illinois, comprehensive substance abuse treatment programs are available for individuals struggling with substances and their mental health. These programs offer various levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization options. Skilled clinicians utilize evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to address substance abuse and improve your mental health. You'll also learn strategies to cope with relapse triggers and deal with stress.

Dual-diagnosis addiction treatment in Illinois focuses on integrated care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. These specialized rehab programs include detox, medication-assisted treatment, residential drug and alcohol rehab, and outpatient programs. My counselor was terrible. Lacked compassion and really didn’t relate to what i was going through therefore didn’t have the tools or advice that would have been conducive to our sessions. She was judgmental even and that didn’t help me walk away feeling empowered or just okay. I always felt feeling like I just told her my business for nothing and she judged. Took my son there to see a different counselor and after session 2 said he was well adjusted and didn’t need to be seen. This was after a divorce and moving out of childhood home. He focused his conversation with my son on gang activity- nothing my son knows anything about nor has ever been exposed to- and yes we are black but no we don’t know. Do not recommend this center for people of color at all.

Response from the owner
We are sorry your experience was not positive. After looking into this, it looks like the therapist you are referring to has not been working at our office for over 2 years.

This business utterly failed me. I was strugglung to get someone who can hear me out. The counselor was insensitive and unprofessional. Very cold and no feelings she showed. All she was worried about is paper work that could have waited. Even though our meeting was supposed to be 45 to 50 min, I was barely in the room for 30 minutes. I wrote a big letter to Joy Miller explaining what happened, they have not shown me any response. So I guess all they worry about is reviews. Be more careful when treating patients

We did NOT receive a note or letter from you regarding your concern, and if we had attained such a response, I would have personally contacted you to learn more about your experience. It would be important to me to learn more about your session and look into the situation, as client responses are very important to us. Once again, I would be happy to address your concern.
