Valley Hope has changed my life. I went from isolation in a motel room doing drugs, to being a productive citizen. I’ve been sober 54 days today and a huge part is because of Valley Hope. Freedom House helped heal hurts I didn’t even know I had. I had buried trauma with drugs and alcohol for so long I didn’t even remember having them. Freedom House not only saved my life but also saved my eternity. I will forever be grateful for Freedom House. The staff truly love and care about your success during and after your program. Dr.Warren is the most caring MAT provider I've ever had the privilege of meeting. Out of hundreds of clients he remembers my name and goes out of his way to greet me whenever around and make sure he is accessible to each and every one of his patients to answer questions, encourage and build the best individual recovery plan for everyone possible. But let's not forget about his wonderful staff of amazing counselors, nurses and receptionists that go above and beyond to not only do the best job but build relationships with each and every patient. Was here multiple times for psych and once for alcoholism. I am above middle class, have a degree, and just have bipolar disorder from genetics. The people complaining don’t know how good it is compared to other facilities. The place is clean, the food is great, and the staff is amazing. Please remember the people reviewing this place have issues and can be handful. Most people who have problems at places like this, unless it is filthy, create their own problems.

We tried over 50 facilities for this patient and Brookhaven is the only one who could treat brain injury, mental health issues AND was willing to work with Medicaid. The case manager was very helpful and caring. Unfortunately Medicaid would not fund but I’m so grateful for the help!

Don't even waste your time calling, they DO NOT care about helping you. The receptionist will tell you there's nothing they can do then be rude to you when you tell them this is your only option. You'll get off the phone feeling worse than you did before.

This place is horrible. What made it worse is how they claim to do what they do as a "Christian" organization.
I was stuck there for four days for a MEDICAL ISSUE, not a mental health one, yet they kept me anyway without cause. Then they neglected to tell me that my insurance wouldn't pay for it, so I received a huge bill. All I did the entire time was sit. There was no therapy and since I can't take meds, they tried manipulation via choosing a loved one as collateral for discharge. The staff and doctors were rude, ignorant, and callous.
Now that my faith has grown, I can see that this place is NOT true Christian. If it were, 1. The staff would have had compassion and treated people better, and 2. There would be no psychiatric treatment in the way the world treats those with mental health issues. If you call yourself a believer in Christ, do not support this facility by utilizing their services. Better, truly Christian facilities exist. Healing or effective help won't be found at this facility.

I had a left total knee replacement in Oct. I truly don't know how I would have survived without Joe, Stacey and Tracy & Mattie. I had so much pain post op that I was not prepared for and I truly didn't think I would ever heal! Their expertise and encouragement helped tremendously. My son has been suffering from severe mental issues for the past 3 years. None of the “professional” help I’ve sought out helped until I took him to GLMHC. They gave him the counselling and medication needed to overcome many of his problems. It’s still a work in progress, but he’s much better now. Just wanted to say thank you to the GLMHC team!

We made our appointment early and got to the clinic at 12:30, my girlfriend was taken back and put in a waiting room. She was told the doctor was on the way and was seeking another patient. She texted me as I waited for her and told me it'd be awhile. Ten minutes shy of 2 hours later she was asked to leave after she told the receptionist that she needed to leave due to prior obligations. when the receptionist did not like the tone of her voice she had requested security. They had worked on her glasses and one of the bent lense frames was snapped straight through when they had returned the glasses. I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of care she received.
If you have time to waste and don't urgently need help, care, or promptness, this is the place to come!
10/22/2025 my wife had a rib giving her trouble so we came for a medical referral. This "doctor" called my baby a "parasite". He's lucky I was waiting in the lobby. I won't make that mistake again.

I've been to the location on Harvard. It's good for what it is. If you're in crisis, or you have an addiction issue go to Harvard Avenue. If you are dual diagnosis or you have just mental health I 110% recommend this location. Everybody here is absolutely wonderful. However, I don't have children so I cannot attest to a family going here. However, if you are just an adult and you are married without children or your children are grown. Go here, it is absolutely wonderful. There's an intake coordinator named Marianne. She is great! I went there today. I've been having a very hard time the last couple of weeks with my mental health. I used to abuse substances and I haven't in almost 4 years but I've been having a very hard time recently with mental health and they got me through it the last couple of days. I might have have ended up in the psych ward for the first time in many years if it wasn't for this place. So again I cannot attest to the children part of their title. But as far as families. They are solid at this place. They care.

Love them. Started just over a year ago, they set me up with an amazing counselor and worked around my schedule to make appointments. My care team was amazing and everyone was super helpful. I stopped going a few months ago and they reached out making sure I was alright and offered to help get me set up again if I wanted. I don’t currently need their services but if I ever do I will definitely go back.

I have had nothing but a good experience since starting 3 years or so ago. Myself and my family have used several different services, all of which were positive experiences.
Ive had a care tem and they are the best. They have kept track of me and reached out routinely. I'm very grateful for their services.
I just can't rave enough.
If ever there was an issue as they too are human and suffer life as we do. Who knows what the reason, but I always treated everyone with kindness ( I think) and showed them understanding, knowing it's a high pressure job with difficult people struggling with life. For all the many who have been a part of all of our treatments, we thank you. 🙏

We took our toddler son here to see Dr. Hutchison. We were INSANELY impressed. The facility was child friendly from the moment you walked in the door. From the waiting room, to the hallways, and even in the private room. There were multiple different types of toys, books, and puzzles. The rooms were decorated for a child to learn and play in, while also being very clean and comfortable for parents. Amazing equipment and even a pediatric style table, so you don’t have to worry about your kiddo rolling off a tall table. We have LOVED seeing Dr. Hutchison since our little one was born, but wow, this move to the PFC has showed how bright she can really shine as a doctor, and a human! She’s a parent. She’s gets it. On top of it all she is insanely smart and trustworthy. She even gave my little one a coin to get a prize and complimented his behavior, but we all know that facility was designed to help children thrive. My son suffered a car accident that left him with frontal lobe brain damage and he had been diagnosed previous to that with bi-polar disorder and severe depression. He was having a terrible relapse and we finally got him to admit himself to Oakwood Springs, OKC. He was working the program and they were putting him on new medications when there were new admissions that were very violent. They were coming into his room at night and for someone battling anxiety that was terrifying to him. One of these admissions attacked another resident sending him to the hospital. That is when my son came home. I understand that everyone has a right to treatment, even those who are very sick like this but my son had a right to be safe.

I would not recommend Oakwood Springs at all! I was a voluntary admission for alcohol detox. The detox part worked OK as they drugged me into unconsciousness for 3 days. Once I finally woke up high as a kite, I knew they were overmedicating me and I wanted to leave. Please note: This is a LOCKDOWN FACILITY. They would not let me leave despite my wife and parents both going up there to get me released. They said I was too medicated to leave! On top of that, they started taking away the few privileges I had because I wanted to leave. They wouldn't let me go outside and wouldn't let me even eat with the group. This is a really crappy facility for voluntary patients and the staff seemed like they don't care. I was lucky to find one person there that did care and he was able to get me out of there to a rehab facility. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Voluntary in does not equal voluntary out.
